As italian i love the fact that you translate the italian part, i thought it was already translated in the original version.
Btw there's a little error with the term "forza" that you translated into "Muscle". Normally we use this word to indicate physical strength but in this case it used to say "c'mon!" or "hurry up".

It was an interesting idea on the part of the developers not to translate the Italian speech, but to provide it with Italian subtitles (even in the English version of the game, as in any other). But I would like to know what they are saying. Although the lack of translation in these moments, given that the main character, whom we control, does not understand what is being said, gives a certain special charm. As, in principle, in the case of Max Payne 3 and already Portuguese in the case of this game.

@@hanselvogis7301 there are two different definitions on what a "dialect" is (see Wikipedia page). What an Italian (or French) means when it refers to "dialetto", is very different from what you're used to. Basically a dialetto is a local language that's spoken in very colloquial situations or family, not a variety of Italian. Depending on the region, dialetto may be used a lot or very little (like only by old people), but when you speak Italian you speak Italian.
This different definition of dialect creates some confusion and some foreigners think Italians from different or far away regions can't understand each other but that's 100% not true, Italian is Italian.

I loved the game but, as Italian, I think the voice acting of this chapter was terrible. An Italian native speaker can easily notice that Salvatore is dubbed by a non native speaker who is basically reading some sentences in Italian without even knowing their meaning. Both accent and intonation sound weird and this totally ruins the atmosphere. And it's a pity since the game cares so much about details...
Maybe letting a real Italian actor (with a strong Sicilian or Neapolitan accent) would have done the trick.

Non ha neanche senso il fatto che Tommy, nel doppiaggio italiano, non capisse nemmeno una parola di Salvatore, dato che il dialetto parlato nel gioco non è neanche così difficile da comprendere da chi non è siciliano. Se l’avessero doppiato con un dialetto molto molto più stretto la scena sarebbe stata migliore.

They are badass in their own way, the only problem is the language barrier lol. Salvatore is the master of unlocking, and only fluent in Italian yet he could unlock any safe he encountered. Meanwhile, Tommy, the muscle in the plan, is only fluent in English but he could deal with the "dangerous" side of the work should it go FUBAR. Both of them worked out pretty well though.

He's lucky Tommy forgot Italian. Otherwise he would've cemented his feet and have thrown him down the LH river.
Less people have walked away from Mr Angelo in the 30s. It wasn't like a 51 year old Tommy Angelo with a hose back then.
Back then the only thing being hosed was the blood left over from when Tommy alone took on thousands or Morrelo henchmen with a Thompson 1928 drum mag.
      Though to be serious,
Tommy was the one who fucked up.

Pretty positive the person who's supposed to be Italian and doing the voice acting is not really Italian. Tho most of the times he got the pronunciations spot on, I am really impressed by his skills. The tuffest part of Italian it's that is filled to the brim with figurative speech sentences, meaning certain words that translated into English have a precise meaning, have their meaning changed when used under the figurative speech Italian language laws. Hope that makes any sense
