So unique...in the sense that... Random ppl died You don't see their murders The killer dies The 2 protagonists live But, you feel so terrible when the movie ends. And, I think it's the same for most ppl, it's a feeling that you can't explain.
Se7en is one of the best written movies, imo. Also, the world is created so uniquely. In fact, Matt Reeves took inspiration from Se7en and Zodiac when creating The Batman.
This is a movie that requires you to sit in a dark, quiet room and just allow yourself to be immersed into this world. I saw this when it first came out in the theater. When the movie was over, everyone was stunned silent. No one moved. No one said a word.
I probably am subscribed to about 80 of these first time watch channels and y'all are in my top 5. The editing is really really solid, you're able to tell the complete story in a short, cohesive manner and your dialogue seems spontaneous and fun without stepping all over the movies best parts. Keep up the fantastic work‼️‼️‼️
Almost 30 years later and this movie still holds up. Brilliant performances and Kevin Spacey as John Doe knocks it out of the park. Really enjoyed y’alls reactions to this great movie.
I watched Se7en at the old Curzon on Ormeau Road, Belfast when it was first released and had to go for a stiff drink afterwards. I felt properly harrowed but also satisfied. Seldom has a film subverted my expectations so many times and held me in such a state of nervous tension throughout. Just brilliant.
I was a freshman at The University of Maryland in 1995 and we got to watch movies in the school theater about 2 months after their general release. I still remember the girl next to me digging her nails into my arm when the sloth guy woke up.
You guys are very good at this! Just stumbled across your channel. I don't like over the top, forced reaction videos with people trying to put on too much of a show. You guys are reacting in an authentic way, I appreciate that, it's refreshing. Your sadness at what befalls poor ol' Mills and Tracy at the end reminded me of my first time seeing 'Seven' back in the day. Keep up the good work!
Hahahaha loved the stone cold face when she said hope there is a happy ending! Also, cool little thing, the guy who made the intro/title hit for this movie did the visuals for my favorite musical tour ever. Sasha and John Digweeds delta heavy tour back in around 05. Hahahaha
Think about the "You can't just tap someone's shoulder fot attention anymore" speech. This was in 1995, way before social media as we know it today,, most people didn't have internet. Opposed to most movies who age, this has just gotten more and more relevant, in the aspect of what one have to do to make people react and rememeber. It's a fantastic movie, in all its dire grimness. Thanks for uploading! Greetings from Sweden
I saw this in the theater when it originally came out. When the movie was over, everyone walked out and didn't say a word. There were no conversations. There was silence. It was so disturbing, dark but brilliantly acted.
Fincher's ability to tap into the darker, though endlessly fascinating, aspects of the human mind is unmatched. There is always a masterful underlying tone and vibe to his movies that convey unease.
This is one of those films where I wish I could go back and watch it for the first time. I've seen Seven about five times and each time I get a rush. Your reaction was just like mine the first time. Thanks for your hard work on this one.
Posting my comment in the shorts on this reaction proper: Okay, this short and reaction is a perfect showcase of the movie and the reaction and now my darkening mood! I shouldn't have doubted if I wanted to see a Seven Reaction, which I've never went out of my way to sit alongside, but just to hear Morgan Freeman, yes! As far as darkness, what this film does brilliantly is make it stylistically done, so you know you're watching an almost kinda gritty gross comic book, you know? Oh, I recommend The Usual Suspects!
My fav film of all time. Love you guys reacting this! Since yall love this, and type of stuff, def should see True Detective S1 with McConaughey and Harrelson. Both detectives on trail figure out ritualistic murders. 8 eps and sink your teeth in. Best season of any show
15:14: That's John C. McGinley, 18:48: is Mark Boone Junior who played the crooked cop in Batman Begins, and at 22:49: That's Michael Massee, the actor who shot Brandon Lee.
More David Fincher, please. He’s arguably the best director of our generation. Everything between this & ‘The Killer’ (2022) has been amazing, IMO. >>I recommend ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ (2011) personally. It’s brutal and beautiful. I’d even watch your reactions to his music videos (which include Madonna’s ‘Vogue’ & APC’s ‘Judith’, btw). Check him out.
The freaking bad guy wins on this one. Not many movies has this kind of disturbing ending! We can see in the reaction exactly what you were feeling near the end...a mix of hate, disbelief and pain just like Mills at the same moment. :)
If you like movies like this one then you'd def enjoy 'Kiss the Girls', 'Along came a spider' which just happen to star Morgan Freeman as well, portraying Detective Cross, another fantastic character. Morgan is so good at those type of roles. Detective Cross is a character in books, there are a few of them but Morgan is in 2 of those movies, Tyler Perry is in another one
Kevin Spacey had a great year! 4 top line movies, but this and The Usual Suspects....u should review here! Fincher also directed Fight Club. He's a director like Kubrick, Lynch Cronenberg Nolan Tarantino, etc., that just see movies differently!!
David Fincher has created an apocalyptic urban thriller, incredibly mean and darkly staged. The nightmare turned into a movie is extremely nerve-wracking All the actors are great. But what Kevin Spacey delivers as the psychopathic killer is out of this world - an unbelievably great performance from him.
Nice. Fincher is amazing. Gritty noir feel to this. People like to think that this movie shows the 'dark side' of human life. But that's to miss the point entirely. The movie just shows human life. It's like this all the time. Some people just choose not to see it. Of course, to be fair, Spacey steals the film... Brilliant. As if one needed more proof that the 90's were the golden age of film. Next up: The Usual Suspects.
Some parts of the music in this film remind me of the original Resident Evil 2. Maybe the composers of RE2 took some inspiration from Howard Shore's score in this?
Another great thriller is UPGRADE a great scifi with practical effects and a great story. Made by Adam from first SAWmovie. Everyone who has reacted to it loves it and has nothing but good to say about it
We didn’t but when I was doing the edit, and obviously I can take it literally frame by frame I saw it and sent it to Niamh cause I thought it was such a cool detail! - Danny
Somerset: Let's go see The Joker. FBI agent: I didn't realize it was going to be a folie á deux Somerset: Don't worry, this is Se7en. We are in a much better movie.
Back when this was first released a friend of mine took someone to see this on their first date, not knowing anything about it other than it was a mystery film starring Brad Pitt, whom his date was a fan of. There was no second date.
My only complaint is John Doe died too quickly. I would have beaten him to death. "What's in the box?!?" is the most famous line, but I've always loved the Hemingway quote.
I enjoyed watching this exactly 7 days after your release. It's almost a perfect movie. They only dropped the ball talking about how he could get off on insanity. Unforced error. But otherwise perfect.
0:51 ..holy crap😲& 😅! 1:01 ..yup, NOT a bad choice aka here's my +1(sry'?😕) 12:28 I suck at art(class, barely made it). Upside down who'd know? ..not me!
Pro tip...the actor who screwed the prostitute....a long time fantastic character actor. He said he stayed up for 3 days, no food, no sleep, only coffee, to achieve the facially ruined look he had!
The ending of the FBI's own family being attacked by the serial killer has been copied by other later movies such as 2002's Red Dragon (sequel to Silence Of The Lambs) ...
Do you guys take movie reaction video requests ? If Yes then if you haven't already seen any of them yet then is there any chance you could do Reaction Videos to the movie "John Carpenter's The Thing" (it is an R-rated Science Fiction/Horror Movie that came out in 1982 and it stars Kurt Russell) and to each of the 6 "Scream" movies ?
I never understood why summerset not put himself between mills and spacey in the end scene? I dont think mills would have killed/shot summerset to get to spacey.
Also, I consider this the unofficial Gotham movie. Two un-curtupted cops dealing with the worst the city has to offer. A killer with a rational. Gotham minus Batman.
great film but unfortunately "se7en" is another one of those movies whose plot depends on a postal delivery arriving exactly on the scheduled date and time.
Yeah in this day and age, they would need to camp out for days to get the package (even though in the movie I think it was am independent delivery service instead of the post office).
They really messed up by making the guy pull up in a marked courier service vehicle wearing a uniform. The way it's written it should be some rando in his personal vehicle.
If you’re gonna turn away from the movie and plug your ears so you can’t see or hear anything just skip the movie. No point in watching cause you’re not really watching.
Let this woman watch a movie she can enjoy!! Let her watch a fun movie!! I hate when these couple channels only watch guy movies!! Let her have a good time!! 😂😂😂
Niamh - "Maybe it will have a happy ending?"
Everyone who's seen the movie - "whooooo boy"
Great reaction as always, love you guys.
WHAT'S IN THE ENDING???
All se7en fulfilled...i don't get it! ..clearly a "happy end" 😛
So unique...in the sense that...

I have been watching this movie since it was in theatres and every time I catch something new. David Fincher is a legend.

The security guard at the library that put on the music is also the bus driver in Speed.
..'kay. Gotta' ♥ a feel good flick, i presume.
"The world is a fine place and worth fighting for. I agree with the second part."
So glad you guys are watching this! Such an amazing film. Such a classic. The BATMAN got a lot of visual ques from this film! 👏🏾 🔥
One of the few books that I even bought the book and read it afterwards.

Awesome reaction keep them coming 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
18:47 that actor played Det. Flass - Jim Gordon's corrupt partner - in Batman Begins.
I was trying to figure out where I'd seen him! I knew it was a grimy cop movie somewhere 😅 thank you
What, you don't like falafel?@@aaronthesaxman660
It’s crazy how much this movie has influenced thrillers for the last 30 years. It’s forever altered the genre.
Fantastic genuine reaction as always guys, much love.
This was a great video. I agree with Danny. This is still one of the most bleak movies I've seen. The Lust kill still makes my skin crawl.
Posting my comment in the shorts on this reaction proper: Okay, this short and reaction is a perfect showcase of the movie and the reaction and now my darkening mood! I agree just an absolutely amazing miniseries!! Everyone should watch it
@@sweetkiss119hell yeah !
This movie is hard. It represents the 90s well. Filmed in LA with an east coast vibe.

Eat until your stomach bursts. Hey, that reminds me! Thanksgiving is coming up!😂
Remember to leave room for thirds!
An unused prop for the last scene (you can understand which one), was finally used in "Contagion", after it was cleaned up

Second Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Great film.
Definitely Girl With the Dragon Tattoo!
Zodiac is a masterpiece.

Nice to see that Envy and Wrath were on the reactors' lips. Rare. +++

Near fact the captain is played by same actor who got his start playing the drill Sargent in Full Metal Jacket
Please watch The Usual Suspects.
Also, great reaction!
This is a singularly well made film and I’m glad you appreciated it.

Reactor: 'maybe it'll have a happy ending?' Se7en: 'hold my beer'....
*hold my BOX
Pre-7 Niamh vs post-7. Traumatised! Also, for most bleak, Requiem for a Dream.
Fight Club is next,These two movies are my favorite David Fincher movies.
Niamh: "Maybe it'll have a happy ending. Maybe, maybe," she repeated optimistically.
Danny: 🤐
Me: Thinking, "Oh..... Oh no," with a sense of dread.
😐😐😐
Great movie with the best twist!
"happy ending"... yeah... hold onto that hope Honey
I'm convinced Se7en takes place in Gotham City.
Did you see the flash of Tracy's face right before David shot him?
We didn’t but when I was doing the edit, and obviously I can take it literally frame by frame I saw it and sent it to Niamh cause I thought it was such a cool detail! - Danny
It makes me feel ancient when reactors don't recognize Cliffs Notes...😢
