If you are new to the channel here’s a response I left to one of the comments that explains my philosophy on cameras as a whole. I’m just a guy that likes cameras. This is like the one video I didn’t leave my general disclaimer. Look it’s not up to me to fix how a product is shipped. If a product is sold for full retail price it should do everything it says on the box without a firmware update. There could be bugs or glitches, stuff happens from time to time. But features not working without updating is a manufacturers problems. I provide an honest opinion about the experience of what you could expect if you were to buy this camera yourself. And like I say in the video I actually like this little camera but I wouldn’t recommend it right now as it’s essentially in beta mode for full retail price. Which is absolutely not ok. The camera was white balanced to daylight for every shot in the video, it decides that even when manually set to daylight to continue to move around the kelvin for reasons. But to give Z Cam the benefit of the doubt I’ve actually now upgraded to .83 (still beta firmware for full price) and the app still doesn’t work. The autofocus now actually works which is great but again if it says it on the box when it’s sold for full retail price that feature should already work. And from the other videos I’ve seen this camera original shipped with .80. 🤷♂️
Cameras didn’t need firmware updates maybe 10 years ago all of the new cameras from your gh5, eva1, arri Amira, and even then canon 5d mk4.. this is normal. That way of thinking is dated just like the firmware on your E2. Update the firmware, take this down, and re-edit it with experience using a standard setup that the other E2 users are experiencing. This film is outright misleading.
The Everyday Dad my a6300 camera couldn’t record more than 5 minutes of 4k before overheating on the original firmware... that’s coming from SONY. You make it sound like Z cam is a unheardof company who makes untrue claims.. Sony who is “trusted” does the same thing but worse!
You know what was a total waste of time? YOUR unboxing of the cam and it shows by the like/dislike ratio. He doesn't owe anything to YOU to do what you want him to do. You have the camera; you don't need his opinion.
I usually respect your perspective as the "everyday dad" because even if you make mistakes it adds to your content, but I will say I do not agree with these statements. The first thing I do when I receive any type of tech is check to see if there is a firmware update. Especially on my cameras. Almost all of the cameras I've owned from big companies have required firmware updates to patch issues and bugs or even give the camera new features. The ZCam is not a Beta camera and I feel like that down plays just how capable this camera is. I've had way worse firmware issues with my Sony cameras and unlike Sony ZCam has proved they will fix issues where Sony sometimes leaves issues in their cameras through model changes! If this isn't something you regularly do I suggest checking for updates on all of your equipment! You might have new features you didn't even know about!
Hi! I'm founder of Z CAM. I'm sorry for lack of instructions on how to operate on the camera and that leads to the problem that you can't get some features work. Here are some comments on the features you mentioned in this clip: 1. CAF(continous auto focus). It works and we have a lot of optimization on firmware 0.83. Before this version CAF only works when you start to record. It won't work in preview and I guess that's why you think it won't work. We added human detection in 0.83 which will try to focus on human when it's enabled. It adds a lot of usability for focusing. 2. For iOS apps it seems that by default iOS will disable the app's permission to use wifi and that's why you can't get it connected. It seems that if you have this problem you need to manually give the camera app permission to do it. 3. We have auto white balance and I'm sure it works well in auto mode. 4. We have a facebook group named: Z CAM E2 for people to discuss the camera and you are welcome to join this group. We share the development status and plan all the time and we listen to users to improve the features. 5. We are releasing ProRes in new firmware soon since we just passed Apple's certification program and that will be listed on Apple's website as well. Our multiple camera live streaming software is in beta phase which enables up to 16 x 1080P streaming with a computer. With a laptop it can do 4-6 streamings.

Luxia Productions wasn’t included in that version’s firmware (I kid I kid sorry everyday dad - your stuff has gotten better and better but this one was slacking)
Howdy! Thanks for all of your awesome vids! Now that the camera has gone through firmware updates is the autofocus working? I've watched other vids of the camera and autofocus does work but it's not the best but hopefully still usable for youtube studio work where there 's no need for tracking and such.
Finally a review of this camera! I just ordered one after being on their Facebook group for a while. Fantastic support and community. I own a BMCC 2.5k and frequently rent an old RED Scarlet MX from a friend. Super excited to see what this camera can do. From what I've heard and been seeing from users I might not be renting that old Scarlet as much after owning this camera. Can't say for certain yet whether or not that will be true, but it sure seems like a killer deal for the price. Great video as always! P.S. You might want to check if you are on the latest firmware. CAF seems to have been worked on.
That’s awesome! I hope you enjoy it when you get it. I’ve gotta be honest the sensor in this camera is really impressing me. My real only complaints about the camera are the app, the autofocus, and the ssd recording but besides that it’s frankly awesome.
@@TheEverydayDad Yeah I've seen similar complaints from other users. I hardly ever use autofocus, but could definitely see how it would be a downside compared to other cameras in this price range (Especially the DSLR and Mirrorless options). SSD recording is a big thing for me, but they have really been impressing me on the FB group with doing constant testing with different SSD solutions and releasing firmware updates for compatibility. I have a feeling SSD recording will have less compatibility issues fairly soon. They have posted about which SSDs they have tested that work so it might be worth checking out the group.
I think I like the range of this outside.. the GH5 was super bright while the Z Cam looked even all around... I tried their original tiny camera years ago.. I think I still have it 🤔
Yeah both were set to the same f stop and aperture but I feel the z cam did better with the direct sunlight. I’ll mention this money but the sensor in the E2 handles light better then the GH5 in my opinion.
i think this camera makes sense only if you really use the 12ofps 4k a lot, like action cam, cars etc. otherwise a bmpcc 4k is half the price and does 60fps 4k raw. in euro the e2 goes for 2500 euro body, if you nu atmos will be around 3500 euro.
Skyler Li That’s weird. I literally just had one of my subscribers ask about a car in one of my videos. I really don’t know anything about them. Are they the funny looking cars?
It looks like the camera shipped with .82. Does the autofocus only work when recording? I tried that but it wouldn’t change anything. Also is there some trick to get the app to work? I’ve got the WiFi from my phone connected to the camera but the app refuses to connect.
On some cameras, continuous autofocus only works while recording internally (iiirc the G7 is like that). Did you test autofocus while recording internally ?
I did, no matter what I do the continuous autofocus wont work. I figured it might be recording required but it didn’t work, and I thought it might be the ok button as a kind of shutter release for focus but that also didn’t work.
Great video! I'm curious though. What firmware are you running? That's kind of important since the Z Cam E2 hasn't reached v1.0. This is not an excuse for your experience. The camera should work as claimed and as expected but I hope you recognize that any version before v1.0 should be considered as an early adoption. Z Cam is barely at firmware v0.83. They have lots of work to do!
This was running .82. After this video came out and everyone commented on the firmware I’ve since upgraded it to .83. And I don’t really mind upgrading firmware but my problem is that it sells for full retail price without all of the features promised unlocked. The app still doesn’t work with .83 either 😭
I can't figure out if this comment is pure sarcasm or for real.... You must be kidding? Aren't u? If not please tell me. What did you find more interesting about the e2, try to convince the same way you are..
@@ghoutilakhdar3132 Um, 120fps @ 4k? 240fps @1080? I'd have to agree, I don't see why that's surprising. It costs more, but if you have the budget it's an easy choice IMO.
Did they send you the entire camera permanently for a sponsorship? As a UA-camr who LOVES camera stuff myself, I’ve never really figured that out. Would love to look into it haha.
I’ll have a part starting in Wednesday’s video with the most up to date firmware. But I would hope that a camera sold for full retail price works out of the box without needing a Facebook group for tech support.
@@TheEverydayDad You are absolutely correct that the manuals are lacking, and that Z-Cam isn't getting information/software on to their website anywhere near fast enough. I am on the Facebook group, but I don't see it as tech support (although it is a great place to report bugs), so much as a place to share information. I don't consider this camera Beta (it's autofocus in the first firmware was better than a GH5 when it came out for instance), but rather a camera whose capabilities are going to continue to develop along side mine.
Yeah it works really well. I’ll say this more in Friday’s video but the sensor inside of the E2 handles sunlight really well. I feel like even my gh5 goes from properly exposed to THE SUN BURNS really quick but the E2 held the information much better.
I encourage you to upgrade the firmware. When I received my E2, I didn't not have any issue with focus, wifi, etc. I was able to shoot right out of the box like any other camera.
I have been pulling my hair out on which camera to get between z6 and a7iii. I shoot video i am mostly out side in daylight. Since you have both did you see any breaking down of quality on them like when shoot 1080 120p. And do you know what size are the 4k files on the z6 for like 10 mins
@@TheEverydayDad yeah, ND would have done the trick too; the back light was harsh when outdoors with the GH5 at times. Just saying since I hope to upgrade one of these months to either GH5 or Z6; which do you recommend?
I'm thinking of getting three of these for live events, would be great to see some side by side comparisons and low light comparisons? Good review though.
I hate to ask, but I've looked through your videos and could find what I'm looking for.. but could you do a video on the video settings you used, back when you were using the Lumix G7? Thank you for some awesome video content.
@@TheEverydayDad Thank you very much for your response. I'm new to this type of camera and getting used to or learning all the different settings is overwhelming. Videos like yours helps.
I mean you can put the title cinema in front of anything. I had a C200, still shot in 30fps. These aren't movies and they aren't soap operas so 24 and 60 are kinda meh in my opinion.
Returning to this video years later this is camera has turned out to be one of the best cameras on the market! still not one of the most popular, but I'm definitely getting the M4 version soon!
PRORES RAW: So glad you posted this. Any word on if the E2 and Atomos will offer prores raw ???? That would take this camera to an entirely new level and I for 1 would buy it. 120fps at 4K in prores raw is a game changer
Reds arent just for high fps and resolution. The minimum Ive seen them shoot is like 12 bit raw and have 16+ stops of dynamic range. This can only do 10 bit no raw. and the difference between 10 and 12 is almost as massive as the 8 to 10 jump. And the dragon sensor can do 5k 96fps. Thats double the resolution on only 24fps slower. This is a good deal for sure but doesn't even cover 90 percent of why you would get a red or arri alexa.
This is more akin to a gh5 fuji xt3 and a bmpcc4k in terms of technical specs. but until it offers raw and 12 bit it will be noticeable in the quality drop from a red or arri
Not quite a RED but I must say if Atomos teams up with ZCAM and offer “PRORES RAW” via Ninja V or later model this camera would instantly jump to another level
Wished the Website for the ZCam E2 exxplained the WDR setting for 16 stops of Dynamic range. That's crazy HDR capability. Will this be the next Netflix approved camera?
Thank you for posting. I hear many people complaining that the firmware on many Z cameras need improvement before they release the cameras. Though I understand the updates are complete by this time or in process. But yes, Z cam should probably hold their gear back by a month or two for firmware fixes before shipping. (Just a hint Z cam if your listening) because it blows the first impressions. I would work with it as a cinema camera with MF lenses.. so most of your issues would have no bearing on how I would work it. I understand it has prores raw now, but there is/was some issues with HDMI output 4K prores raw? Anyway I’m sure Z cam will fix many of these issues, but they have so many cameras coming out, I hope they really address the firmware upgrades/updates fast.. since at this point every review is talking about what is not working on them... and though fair at the time, we viewers might be getting an overly negative image since the firmware might be updated already. Ok.. now to see if you have a follow up video if they did an update. :)
What’s the point in sending you a camera that doesn’t really work right. Maybe get all the features actually working along with the app would be better?
Take it from the “non-professional” expert (TEDD). 😆 Looks like a kinda nice camera! Postnote: if your camera needs a cage, it’s probably too wild to handle!😂 Good stuff!👍
I don’t get it. You claim to love video, and are excited about the prospect of a 120fps 4K camera, but you spend 15 minutes talking about “fiddlyness”, filming on standard “auto colors” and never showing the high frame rate. I’m not trying to sound like a dick here, but why make the video then? And why that title? I didn’t learn anything about the potential of the camera. Most people watching this are probably looking for a cinema camera on a budget, so we’ll want to know how it grades and how the slowmo looks. Does it even have flat profiles? Could you film with those, slap on a LUT and show something - anything - involving the cameras strengths?
I don’t make full camera reviews. I do impressions to give someone that is looking for a specific piece of gear my opinion what their experience might be in their first couple days of ownership. Does it work, can it do what it claims to do on it’s packaging/promotional material. Can it help out an online content creator with a quick production timeline? If that’s not for you, that’s totally cool, I don’t aim to make content for professional filmmakers. There are plenty of other channels out there for that 👍
The Everyday Dad Yeah, I’m just sad to see that lack of content for this specific camera. The 4K 120fps is the big WOW-factor, but hardly anyone making videos about it gives any insight into what this could look like with some planning and grading. Obviously this would not be your first choice when it comes to UA-cam blogging, so why is there so little focus on music videos, commercial use, short films etc.? Very weird.
I can’t speak for everyone but for me specifically I feel that there are a lot of experts out there talking to experts but I don’t feel there are enough regular people talking to regular people about cameras. So I try to bring a perspective from a two year online content creator to others that would like to do the same. I leave the professional uses to others far more qualified 👍
Well one I don’t claim to be an expert and two this camera does something weird where even when you manually set the white balance to daylight it still moves the kelvin rating around a bit. It’s weird and I’ve never seen anything like it.
Probably set it to daylight but he's in the shade, this is why the color temp is off. He should have used a color meter or at least a white paper to properly white balance.
Your back yard look awsome with it...maybe just call people you got it from maybe they can help.....are plug it derectly in computor may work if can .....be cool show footage from park you film fron....be interting to se more about this...fyi.. Love your show
It has more internal codecs then the gh5. Plus with all the connections on the back this would more easily fit into a pro workflow. But I would still take the gh5 👍
Better dynamic range and a form factor which I much prefer. If you are shooting only video you would be surprised how much nicer it is to shoot on a camera that is made solely for video. Now that is subjective obviously, but to me having more mounting options, I/O ports, and flexibility make my life so much easier going from a DSLR/Mirrorless to a dedicated Cinema Camera.
Like I said in the video I couldn’t get my ssd to be recognized by my computer after formatting it to be used with the z cam. So the 4K 120 is still on my ssd un-importable.
I appreciate that you took the time to provide your opinion on the E2 but what exactly are your qualifications? You don't seem to know how to properly white balance a camera, maybe didn't bother to update to the latest firmware (or check to ensure the lens you were using is compatible), don't seem to know that E1 wasn't an action camera, etc. If you're not a pro that's fine but if you're providing advice you should have some basic competence and knowledge around the product you're reviewing (or be willing to do the work to gain that knowledge). If you don't know how to work something properly how about a reach out to people who are using it? Or the manufacturer to find out what's up? This is critical on any new camera. Z Cam is the most accessible and responsive manufacturer I've ever seen in 30+ years in the video production business. They are insanely responsive and helpful. There's also a pretty active online community around the E2 on facebook and it would have taken about 2 mins to solve the CAF and wifi issues you were having (hint: it's a simple firmware update). The SSD recording may be a compatibility issue but again there are a ton of clues out there about that as well. This community sprouting around the E2 is a critical "feature" that you completely missed. With a brand new camera, firmware updates on arrival are 100% normal (and usually required as in this case). You said you took two days using this camera yet never bothered to do a simple google search or send an email? Really? You seem to have a lot of people listening to your advice, up your game.

It's a video about someone who got this camera used it. You need to also remember that he does not have this camera for a long time it's a advisement from bnh and its a review not an in-depth or long time user. If some one wants to buy this camera. I guarantee that they will see a lot more videos and reviews before making that buy. And the he does over and over state that he is not a " professional " film maker (i believe he very much is) But i think this video will still add to the community you were talking about. And that's a good you kinda should take from it. He is the everyday dad this is everyday things that you most definitely not figure out and yeah some people will need to use this as their a cam and they will have to work more than a everyday dad🤣
@@TheEverydayDad IMO there is a real value to you and other non-pros reviewing equipment. I'm sorry if I came across as devaluing that. But IMO with that power to influence thousands comes some responsibility to do a proper job. The price point on this camera opens the technology to many that wouldn't normally have access and I get why that might put you under some illusions that it's the same as a consumer DSLR. It shares some characteristics with mirrorless and DSLRs but that's not what it is. There's a basic foundation you need to evaluate and operate gear like this properly. Not to say that it operates in some rarefied air unreachable by non-professionals but it does require some basic knowledge. The "working out of the box" excuse you cite above just isn't reality. Expecting a brand new highly sophisticated and powerful piece of video equipment to be like a new toaster that just works out of the box is laughable. I've been around awhile and I've never seen that happen with new gear at this level from any manufacturer. Maybe you have that out-of-the-box expectation because you're new to pro gear or only have the experience of using consumer cameras that are several generations downstream but it's not the expectation for anyone in the game this camera is created for. If you're going to strive to use pro equipment as a semi-pro that's awesome. I applaud you. But to knock a product created for pros because it requires a little bit more effort and knowledge to make it work properly is like taking an F1 car on your commute to work and then complaining about it stalling in traffic. You need to know the basics about how to drive an F1 to give it a proper run-out. Expecting it to be the same as driving Dodge Charger and complaining because it's not, is just misguided. A lot of people seem to value your reviews and that's great. I'm just suggesting that when you venture into the deep end of the pool that you to do a little more research, reach out to users and/or the manufacturer so that you can better serve your audience. IMO It's what's required to do the job properly. Maybe you didn't even realize you were stepping into the deep end and that's ok too, no blame for that, just recognize it and come correct. Or don't. You seem to be earnest in wanting to do good work and help people. Wanting to help you is the reason I took the time to give you this feedback.
I do really appreciate the comment. I’m not perfect and constructive criticism is not something I’m shy about. However I still disagree about the needing to find work arounds from Facebook or other forums to get a camera to do what it says it can do. I may not be a working pro but I’ve used much more expensive cinema cameras than this and while that’s not a total defense the price or feature set of the camera isn’t my issue. And to be honest I also agree that I think I got into something I didn’t understand here. I thought I was dealing with a product released and ready to go, but it’s not. It’s sold to people for full retail price while still being in beta not even a 1.0 firmware released yet. So while it might be able to do great things I will not recommend products that a company will sell without being fully functional. I do really appreciate the comment and hope that it really works out for you 👍
@@TheEverydayDad I hope you understand I have no dog in this fight. I don't care if you love the camera or hate it. You're just not doing the world any favors by doing an evaluation of something you don't know how to operate properly and then blaming the device. It's a highly complex imaging device not an electric toothbrush. It's not "finding workarounds" on Facebook, it's filling in your knowledge gap so you can use the tool properly. And the "I shouldn't have to update any firmware" argument is laughable given the speed of product cycles in 2019. That's usually step-one for most tech products these days, not just cameras. I wish you well.
In all fairness there is a question mark at the end of the title. And inside the video I say it records it but formatting my ssd to work with the camera then makes it unrecognizable to my iMac pro 🤷♂️

Did I miss the sample of the 4k 120fps footage?
"old RED Scarlet W "
It is kinda new ish? Maybe you mean say an old RED Scarlet MX??
@@SoundSpeeding Yes you're right! I was just talking with a friend on set about the W and just wrote the wrong thing. Thanks for catching my mess up.
Hi! What's your opinion on the E2 vs BMPCC 4K?
and does SSD recording work on E2?
I think I like the range of this outside.. the GH5 was super bright while the Z Cam looked even all around... I tried their original tiny camera years ago.. I think I still have it 🤔
Yeah both were set to the same f stop and aperture but I feel the z cam did better with the direct sunlight. I’ll mention this money but the sensor in the E2 handles light better then the GH5 in my opinion.
@Tech Examined let me take the E1 off your hands ! I would like to make a teleprompter out of the E1
I actually love the vibrancy of colors the z cam has straight out of the box. Im definitely considering it! Thanks!
You should have tested the 4k 120 in your video. Or at least in a situation that utilizes it, action, fast movement scenes.
can you compare z cam vs bmpcc 4k ??
i think this camera makes sense only if you really use the 12ofps 4k a lot, like action cam, cars etc. otherwise a bmpcc 4k is half the price and does 60fps 4k raw. in euro the e2 goes for 2500 euro body, if you nu atmos will be around 3500 euro.
I like the way "unique beast" sounds. Would make for a fun channel name.
Sounds like a video game challenge 🤣
Fun fact: this is the camera used inside top gear’s cars
Wow really? I didn’t know that. 😳
Skyler Li That’s weird. I literally just had one of my subscribers ask about a car in one of my videos. I really don’t know anything about them. Are they the funny looking cars?
Absolutely. Used to be E1 now E2.
@@TheEverydayDad Interesting. I know for The Grand Tour they used GH4 season 1 and was planning on using GH5 for Season 2.
CAF definitely works. Are you on firmware 0.83?
Did you color grade the video or was that straight out of the camera i reallly love the color.
Nice one, enjoying this vid. I find this cam more interesting than the BM Pocket 4k cam.
good for you
I can't figure out if this comment is pure sarcasm or for real....
Nope it’s just on loan.
Good stuff dude! I might check this out for fun.
Hey everyday dad, what mbps is the bitrate your video is being exported at? even in 4k Im seeing some aliasing on parts of the camera b roll.
Can we have a part 2 with you testing it with the latest firmware? You should check the Z Cam E2 group on Facebook to talk to them.
I don't consider this camera Beta (it's autofocus in the first firmware was better than a GH5 when it came out for instance), but rather a camera whose capabilities are going to continue to develop along side mine.
oh snap, the dynamic range looks good.
Skin tones seem to look very good.
Yeah it works really well. I’ll say this more in Friday’s video but the sensor inside of the E2 handles sunlight really well. I feel like even my gh5 goes from properly exposed to THE SUN BURNS really quick but the E2 held the information much better.
Did you try the proxy recording? What file type is it? Prores 422 Proxy in 1080p?
Never heard of this until now, but it sure is interesting haha
Yeah it really is 😁👍
I have the E2C and the External SSD recording works perfect and the focus is working well so I guess the software was all updated
The concept is GREAT! The body is tiny! Competition for the BMPCC 4K! Obviously they have quite a bit to work on BUT I love the idea!
Great videos man I watch all of them! You helped me buy a camera!!
no slow motion sample footage?
Im 13 my first camera was a t3i i have a 1500 budget for a CINEAM camera do you have any suggestions i do not want a dslr i would like mirrorless
what camera are you filming yourself with? it seems very out of focus...
Please do a video on the difference between the Z cam and the Sigma FP
I encourage you to upgrade the firmware. When I received my E2, I didn't not have any issue with focus, wifi, etc. I was able to shoot right out of the box like any other camera.
shoulda gotten this instead of the gh5s, looks like it has everything I need!
I haven’t used a Gh5s (I use a gh5) but while I like the image quality of the z cam I like the body design and ease of use of the gh cameras better.
I have been pulling my hair out on which camera to get between z6 and a7iii.
I shoot video i am mostly out side in daylight. Since you have both did you see any breaking down of quality on them like when shoot 1080 120p.
And do you know what size are the 4k files on the z6 for like 10 mins
not to be critical but the Lumix GH5 video recorded outside looks overexposed/blown out highlights. What's with that?
Like how does overexposure work as a concept or why didn't I have enough ND?
@@TheEverydayDad yeah, ND would have done the trick too; the back light was harsh when outdoors with the GH5 at times. Just saying since I hope to upgrade one of these months to either GH5 or Z6; which do you recommend?
I'm thinking of getting three of these for live events, would be great to see some side by side comparisons and low light comparisons?
Good review though.
We’ll be comparing it against the Nikon z6 on Wednesday and the gh5 on Friday 👍
Wreck Media If you don’t need more than 4K 30fps 10 bit then E2C is not a bad choice for live streaming. It is cheaper and supports PoE.
Lets talk about the 120 fps 4k raw output of the fs700 tho
I hate to ask, but I've looked through your videos and could find what I'm looking for.. but could you do a video on the video settings you used, back when you were using the Lumix G7? Thank you for some awesome video content.
Like my picture profile settings? When I was using the Lumix g7 everything was set to auto, I never took it out of the auto dial mode.
@@TheEverydayDad
Thank you very much for your response. I'm new to this type of camera and getting used to or learning all the different settings is overwhelming. Videos like yours helps.
This one is pretty interesting. The sensor is from the same family as the GH5 and the Blackmagic Pocket 4K.
Gets cinema camera. Shoots in 30fps. Facepalm.
PRORES RAW:
So glad you posted this. Any word on if the E2 and Atomos will offer prores raw ???? That would take this camera to an entirely new level and I for 1 would buy it. 120fps at 4K in prores raw is a game changer
Internal raw update will come in april/may
The new Z CAM app actually works very well and the Windows and Mac apps are amazing!!
Would love to see you revisit the Z Cam now that they've done a boatload of updates.
Yeah I keep meaning to do an update because there have been some major firmware updates.
what about continuous auto focus? and sharpness?
4k 120 is intriguing
It is if only it worked 🤣
This is like the red camera but for a waaaaaay lower price
Uhh. 4k 120fps footage where? Kinda need to out some of that in the review if you are gonna talk about it.
Wished the Website for the ZCam E2 exxplained the WDR setting for 16 stops of Dynamic range. That's crazy HDR capability.
Will this be the next Netflix approved camera?
me the same here! Camera can detect the human body but so hard to keep on focusing. and the wifi cannot connect with the iphone
Did you have the wifi antenna plugged in?
I did have the antenna plugged it 👍
Thank you for posting.
Wait, what? You're on the GH5 and not the z6?
This was one gh5 but the z6 was sitting right next to me 👍
which monopod do u used?
The ifootage cobra 2 👍
Hi Everyday dad,
CONGRATULATIONS ON 61 THOUSAND SUBSCRIBERS!!!!!!!!!🎉👍👏
Thanks so much! 🎉🎉
I think this camera can now do 4K 160p with their latest firmware released a few months back. That’s pretty damn crazy.
Vlogging with manual focus isn’t that bad, I have a Gh5 and I’ve been manual focusing fine.
sad that there's no raw feature
And where is the 120fps 4K footage ?
Is that a Sony battery; and does it have internal ND filters? One more thing, your glasses go on your head first, not over your hat/cap.
The footage looks great!
Yeah I agree the camera looks fantastic
Take it from the “non-professional” expert (TEDD). 😆
Looks like a kinda nice camera!
Postnote: if your camera needs a cage, it’s probably too wild to handle!😂
Good stuff!👍
Psh, a cage is the MOST important part of a camera 🤣
The Everyday Dad Yep! Was supposed a corny joke directed at those who’ve never used anything else than their phones to take pictures. LoL
Yep I saw that, this was my tongue in cheek response.
Change the title to "I couldn't figure out the 4K 120fps so its not in this video"
I like the GH5 and Cannon cameras for ease of use and lack of fidliness.
Same here, the GH5 is by far one of my favorite cameras 👍
Use a higher aperture on your lens to get everything in focus.
I agree, I was trying out the viltrox EF-M2 and sigma 18-35 but it was too shallow for my normal style of video.
btw the AF might not be you, i just watched some other videos and the AF is horrid on the camera, takes a min to focus on other videos
Let's hope this bolsters more competition that drives prices down
dude your awesome and hilarious . I love the vids
Thanks so much! 😁👍
and yes, windows just doesnot get what ssd recorded, only on mac can do it
what's going on with the crazy chromatic aberration?
Should call it the news report test in this case I think 😁
That’s a good one 🤣 “and now back to the TEDD news network”
I'm going to get this or the 6k, but probably this one.
Wow, the Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K is an incredible deal.
I clicked on the video to check the quality of the 4k 120fps. Did I miss it or its just simply not in the video?
It’s not in the video because like I mentioned when recording to my ssd I can’t then get the ssd to be recognized by my iMac to pull the footage from.
The Everyday Dad no Sd card ?
No sd card. It records to both Ssd’s and has a single cfast card slot.
I literally feel broke... 🤦🏽♂️ how do u get all of this!!!??? Lol
My toe literally feels broke 😭
The Everyday Dad 😂😁
Jimmy Hidalgo i know the feeling, man! Let’s hope this year is better! At least, we don’t have broken bones like TEDD!
The Everyday Dad How’s that toe coming along?
Royal Caymanian 😂😂😂 @The Everyday Dad are you using the johnson & johnson band aids?
is it global shutter?
Great videos !!!! Thanks! ;)
This camera is so weird that it Broke your toe
you should do a review of the canon elph 180
What's with the weird color?
That's called not properly white balancing your camera which this video expert evidently doesn't know how to do.
I didnt see any 120 fps samples
Your back yard look awsome with it...maybe just call people you got it from maybe they can help.....are plug it derectly in computor may work if can .....be cool show footage from park you film fron....be interting to se more about this...fyi.. Love your show
Why has no one mentioned the "Global Shutter" Fantastic!
Ignoring 4k 120, why would you go with something like this (which I find intriguing) over a gh5? Great video Mr 61k.
This can shoot H.265, ProRes and RAW (with firmware update) better dynamic range are probably some good reasons
@@phoenixfunny4517 Thank you.
It has more internal codecs then the gh5. Plus with all the connections on the back this would more easily fit into a pro workflow.
But I would still take the gh5 👍
Look at the gh5 footage versus the e2 in this or in other comparison films..
Do a review on the Z Cam E2C!
What? No drop test?
dude... wheres the 4k 120 footage?
🤷♂️
It's a video about someone who got this camera used it. You need to also remember that he does not have this camera for a long time it's a advisement from bnh and its a review not an in-depth or long time user.
If some one wants to buy this camera. I guarantee that they will see a lot more videos and reviews before making that buy.
And the he does over and over state that he is not a " professional " film maker (i believe he very much is)
But i think this video will still add to the community you were talking about.

There is a Sony camera that can record 4k at up to 480fps used in the NBA
Dont call the video «4k 120 fps» if it is not in the video. It doesnt work? Then THAT should be the name of the video.
In all fairness there is a question mark at the end of the title. And inside the video I say it records it but formatting my ssd to work with the camera then makes it unrecognizable to my iMac pro 🤷♂️
The quality looks great but also kind of yellow!
