- Camping on a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle. In this video I take my first motorcycle camping trip on my 2018 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special. Seeing as I will be out on the road for most of the month, I wanted to challenge my previous packing style.

What's hert wow heels?
Appreciate all of links to the items you use. I have been looking for a camp chair I can throw on my bike. But man $130. for a small chair!!! Way out of my price range! I noticed in PA & Ohio they have not been taking very good care of their parks like they used it. Nice vlog today! Thanks!...
Just a little advice, take Bounce dryer sheets with you put 1 or 2 by the zipper in your tent hammock set one on the table and if you wear a hat put one in a sandwich bag and let one corner open ,roll it up and put it in your sweatband of your hat , no more bugs , the area smells nice but mainly no bugs will be around you , been doing this for years
I get both relaxed and inspired by these camping trips. Love watching them the most of all- possibly partly because you seem happiest in them. (And the Babes Ride Out vids are super fun, too!) Seriously, so much closer to feeling all around prepared for solo motocamping with each video of it that I watch. Thanks, as always, Jess!
Just had an idea "the campground podcast" when you go camping you do a "podcast" of like channel/life updates. Nothing long but like an addition to the regular video itself
I started watching because of the camping, stayed because of the motoblog! 😄
It's funny, I watch your chanel because I am a fellow rider. I would not search for camping videos, yet I find your camping videos interesting.
That was amazing, thanks Jess
It was rly nice hanging out in the chat , take care, see ya next time
Also that last bit 😂
I love motorcycle camping! Still my favorite to this day and I'm 65. Great video Jess
I love your videos!! You put so much time and thought into them…thank you so much for taking us in your travels! I feel like I’m there with you 🤗 Stay safe❤️
I’ve never been camping (moto or nonmoto) but every time I watch your videos I wanna go!! It’s on my to-do list!!
Thanks Jess for that wonderful premiere timer wow 😮❤️ so nice, calm
I'll camp when I have a camper that can withstand the zombie apocalypse.
👊🤠🍺
Great video. Two favorites actually, a friend has a cabin with no running water or electricity up at 10,000' here in Colorado. It's pretty much heaven. And tent camping under the wing of an airplane.
ALDI Cheddar Brats....oh Hell yes...They are soooo good 😂 😂
The BEST!
omg cant belive it xD yesterday im actualy watching and shopping to buy hammack for moto camping and the next day you post a video about camping!!
Love the video I used The same hammock one time found out the crew outdoors was much more comfortable for me thanks for the videos
Nice evening in the trees. Of all Adrienne's and my trips, the morning out of Ely, NV on U.S.6, headed to Tonopah was the best freest and finest morning of them all. Great memories just her, me and the bikes all day. (we're sorta elderly so big on Best Westerns and their endless bacon breakfasts) Thanks for sharing your camping specifics. That should help some folks out a lot.
The shot of Appa at 11:40 is stunning. Its a beautiful bike.
That coffee grinder sucks balls! Lmao! I used mine once, and then it went straight on to the shelf and I pre-buzzed my beans at home before going. My Lord!
We used to always camp in Corp of Engineers campgrounds lakeside in Arkansas. I've had a ski boat since '93 and we tent camped for a while then bought a travel trailer. Haven't camped in a few years since we bought our lake house and sold the camper but I have been wanting to get back into a campground and sit by a fire. Enjoyed the vid, keep 'em coming.
This video was great Jess, thank you, I found myself laughing and enjoy motocamping with you and picked up some ideas. My last motocamping was this year in california is the state where live. in mountains nine thousand feet elevation at eureka Valley camp ground, this place was beautiful.
A great moto-camping video, and all I can focus on is...OMG! That coffee setup is on point! LOL
This is the kind of video i like to watch on your channel . Keep up the good work ! 🤘
Glad to see the french press at the campsite again. I bought that same piece after seeing you use it in a previous video, and I love it.
Love the "out take" at the end!
This episode was very relaxing for me too and funny bloopers. Good job Jess I enjoy your channel.
Like always, I had a great time camping with you....thanks.
Jess, glad to see you out there. Honestly, I do a lot of both types of camping. Dispersed is hands down MUCH more peaceful. Campgrounds have showers though. You are figuring it out.
I’m watching your videos, yes, and I was thinking of so many extraordinary things that we get involved in, the many extracurricular activities that take us away from our comfort zone (our home) that first time adventure, that first group ride, from those humble beginnings. We learn, we grow, we’re ambitious, we’re competitive. You have so much courage and you have a talent for it. Love your videos!
I'm a state park kind of camper too. I appreciate things like showers and the other amenities they tend to offer.
Once you get north of Mansfield, there are no Krogers in Northeast Ohio, and I've had that spicy mustard from Aldi, and while it's good I still prefer Bertman's Original stadium mustard from Cleveland.
Ohio Raised - Southern California resident: Mansfield? I still have family in Mansfield and Bellville and Fredericktown. Brings back memories. Haven't been there in 20 years. Beautiful area. Jess - you keep showing us as much of Ohio and surrounding areas as you want.
Looks like you had a great time, getting out in nature is so relaxing 👍
I used to have my radio on to a barely audible level to be able to sleep... until I watched White Noise in 2005. Couldn't stop being paranoid of the radio that night and completely quit the habit. Heh
I love seeing you have so much fun on your bagger. Did I mention TOUR PACK???????I gotta say Jess your a very efficient packer. I was amazed at how much stuff ya fit on that bike without a tour pack.
I love that little blooper at the end! 🤣
Def grabbing a hammock and the sleeping bag/pillow!! :) Another great video! 💕
Great Video Thank you for taking us with you. The hammock looks super comfy and nice.
man, I could never fall asleep with music, tv, or anything other than static noise, such as a fan/ac, anything else would keep me wide awake.
Best out-tro ever.
I’ve been in Scouts (and camped A LOT) since the ‘70s; have done your last stunt more times than I can count! You are the best sport ever! (Hope the only thing hurt was your pride BTW )
I've been wanting to do a moto camping sometime. Thanks for your videos. Ride safe!
Got hooked on your channel watching an early camping trip. From Connecticut, love Ohio. Never been. Enjoy your life of motorcycles. 🐕
Your first solo motocamping video brought me to your channel, dig your content
I am glad you got the issue with your channel figured out. I heard from one other UA-cam creator that they had the same problem. I wish you the best with your channel.
I love your camping videos!
We prefer State Park camping because it has potable water and shower and bath house however we also try to choose campsites that are further away from the road don't have train tracks that we know have some trees for shade.
My favorite spot's for camping are up in the mountains of West Virginia. There are a lot of nice camping here.but at night when I'm ready to sleep. I don't bring anything to watch. I cam do that at home lol. I turn off my cellphone and just listen to nature's sounds then I'm out till morning. But this is how I do it. To each there own. You have given me food for thought about motorcycle camping. I'm liking the idea more and more. Thank you for the inspiration. Stay safe. As my age group used to say. Keep the shiny part up and the rubber side down young lady.
Ok but the light you were trying to dim was hilarious 😂
Those big Agnes sleep systems are awesome! I bet the 0° is nice and cozy too in a hammock!
It seriously was! A bit overkill for 60° haha
Damn… You have an awesome camping set up! I’m checking out those links rn! Great video HTW! Really enjoyed it!
Great video Jess 👍
Great video! Looked like a nice relaxing trip 🤗
I'm here for the coffee advice. looks like it'll work for the longer over the road camping trips. Looking foreword to the day to take this into the Big Bend and Grand Teton national parks.
I am impressed with you grinding your coffee beans while camping. Also, good idea to choose paved road campgrounds. I dropped my bike recently in Colorado on soft sand while backing out of my space.
Man, I understand the heart attack on the first drop, but a few dings in, you'll get over it. If not, you're probably looking to sell it at some point :/
Okay stayed to the end.....love the ending. I'm sure you were laughing also. Stay safe out there.
Awesome quiet time!...kind of. Thanks for the discount codes Keep up the great job!
My favorite, gotta have cup of Joe is Medagalia D’Oro, Instant Espresso. All you need is a Mug, Spork, some fuel tabs & foil. The jar of espresso, spork, foil & fuel tabs all fit in the Mug. Love your new Glide.
Great to see you out in the woods Glamping. I prefer deeper and more isolated camping but I applaud you for doing what you do. I have a Big Agnes two bag system; Elk Park for summer and slide that into my Buffalo Park bag for winter. The sleeping pad sleeve is my favorite feature in Big Agnes bags. I am not a coffee drinker but the Jet boil I use has a coffee press option for one pot, boil and drink for coffee lovers.
Can't wait to see you and your husband out enjoying the tent with bike garage. I just wonder who gets their bike covered??
Enjoy life, you're in my prayers.
Hoka Hey
Love your channel!
These are my favourite videos :D I can't wait for next summer, the UK looks to be turning all rainy :/
What a beautiful background music 🎶! It's so relaxing 😌!
Glad I stuck around to the end! 🤣
Glad you're back out there camping again. A lot of us live vicariously through your adventures. I have to be honest here, I miss the rumble of Dyna going down the road. Do you ever ride her anymore? I know comfort is hard to turn down, but Dyna is gonna start feeling neglected if you don't jump on and ride her once in a while. Plus, she needs some regular exercise to stay lean and fit. APPA is awesome for sure, but so is Dyna. You gotta love all your kids the same. Maybe sort jaunts are for Dyna and long, potentiality tiring trips are best suited for APPA. Feel free to tell me to mind my own business, but I just hate to see child neglect going unnoticed. LOL Stay safe out there. Get that Momma of yours out there again. We like seeing you two enjoying some Mother/Daughter time together. It doesn't last forever.
Ya Dale iv mentioned that to Jess before ,as its not good for them to sit for long periods as a time ,iv got 2 myself and i try to alternate my rides with them one then thee other.
Good video! I love motorcycle camping. But my favorite kind of camping is deep forest backpacking. However, my all time most memorable camping trip was my wife & I on the motorcycle. We found a nice little dry stream bed and unrolled our sleeping bags on a sandy patch without even setting up the tent. We talked for a long time, then slept like babies out under the stars.
I like that the campsite you were in have the campsites spaced out good. Also it looked like there was plenty of shade in them.
This was really cool to see. Some day, I'd love to try motocamping. Nice little blooper at the end, and when the lantern set to strobe followed immediately by, "NOPE," I chuckled quite a bit. 😆 I have had that same reaction to several different things in my life!
tree and cave camping are my favorites along with historical
That Coffee pour was immaculate 😊😊
I also bought the Lawson hammock thanks to one of your videos!!! I love it . Only issues has been almost tipping ou of it. I found that taking some 550 cord and attaching to the metal bars and around the base of the tree stabilizes it really well. Hope it helps !!
That blooper at the end 😂😂😂❤
Great video, Jess.
I love video enjoy thank you for your great work
I do the same thing to fall asleep, it helps me turn my mind off, and have something to focus on.
Camping tip. Get a collapsible cooler. Set camp up and head over to store for food and beverage. This may not work all the time but for most of us its a nice option.
Threw that in there at the end for a giggle. Thanks 😂
Awesome video, thank for sharing! 👍👍
Inspired by your videos, I did my first motorcycle camping this past summer. Also being female, my friends thought I was nuts. Didn’t love it because I didn’t have the right equipment… 35 year old tent, bad pad under the sleeping bag etc. But loved the rest so I have a new tent, new squishable sleeping bag and twin air mattress which rolled up into the bag of the old (now trashed) tent. I also have to listen to something when I sleep but it’s typically a TV show that I’ve seen a bunch of times just to keep my mind off of ‘life’.
Love your adult kool-aids! Speaking of, try U-line for custom can coolers w/ your logo on them.
I always carry a small white hand towel that covers my seat. Keeps it try in rain, you can use it to dry things if needed, and just as important since it’s white I leave it on my seat in the sun when I’m away from the bike and it reflects the sun and keeps the seat WAY cooler.
Nelson Riggs for the bike cover I have a 2012 road glide I bought one of their covers just to throw on it after we get back from our rides when we’re out of town works great after it cools down and it’s waterproof 😎👍🍻🍻🍻
Hi Jess, love the 'out-takes' and the freedom of camping. Here in the UK 🇬🇧 I was a Scout Leader and often found campsites that had hot water showers on site to use. I hope to visit some amazing sites once I get my BMW R1200Gs repaired (it dropped an inlet valve)! Keep up the good work, your doing great, maybe have a bit of a road-trip (up to Canada) or show us more parts of your beautiful country. Stay safe 👍
I can't wait to go camping next spring with my girl on her bike, mine's too small for 2 plus gear, she has an '02 Super Dyna Glide which is better than my 750 Nighthawk!
Never went tent camping to tent camp, if that makes any senses, but I have tent camped on the motorcycle while traveling. We always stayed at KOA’s with showers and heads that we could use. We ate out so cooking wasn’t a priority. Pretty much all we wanted was a flat space to throw our tents up, a shower and maybe a picnic table to drink a few beers at before we passed out for the night. There are some great ones and once you say you are on motorcycles and tent camping the price usually gets really cheap.
Camping is always good. I just can't sleep in a hammock, never have. Glad you can as they keep you off the ground if it is muddy, and free of all the stuff the walks or crawls on the ground.
Nice video jess and your jacket is great 💞
Nice video! I want to go camping with my Arti Blu Road Glide. Red Bay, Alabama here
So extra with the coffee grinder...😂 Looking forward to using my new Boil & Brew when we go moto camping this weekend!
It still stuns me that you do all that work to just camp for 0NE night! I thought you did the one nighter thing b/c you had time constraints do to work, but it seems that you like it and you always seem to have a lotta fun! So more power to ya, Jess! Will hubby be going with you to the Kriver? I hope so, I think you guys would have a great time :-)
That was amazing, thanks Jess😎👍
Great video! It's hard to get a good night's sleep camping. I once went camping by a lake and the bullfrogs partied all night. 🍻😂.
Great video my self i listen to music to help me fall asleep Whether i am At home or out in the truck
Wish I could be on the road alot more. Love it.
It looks like you had a lot of fun. Great times.
Good times! Been meaning to book a site there. Maybe this Fall...
Haha, good catch with hammock description! That's great for more local camping. You definitely have the basic gear figured out. I know it sounds ridiculous but, wish I could just hang out and share a cold snack with you, "Jordan too" and talk about life, trucks, motorcycles and camping. Fun!
Totally love the camera shot pause... as it headed to the edge of the table to fall to the ground, only to "sigh" make a convenient "U" turn at the last minute... Ok now I can pour my coffee. I had to chuckle. 🤭 Hey try lake Chautauqua or maybe Put-in-Bay (involves a ferry) for glamping some time. Just ideas. Actually baggers handle gravel pretty well with them wide tires. My FLH, and my Road King did. If you travel more than 50 yards down gravel let out some tire pressure (22ish) and your good to go, just carry a portable air pump to hook up to your battery pig tail to reinflate. Tips tips tips. 👍🏻
I loved the End of the video...u keep it real girl, I almost spit out my coffee!! Good shit!!! Keep up the hard work!!
😅😅
By choice I like camping as far off the beaten track as possible. Wild camping isn't much of a thing in England (only a few places you can legally do it). I'm planning some big trips, including coming to the USA on the bikes fairly soon. So am looking forward to having more choice.
Great video as always Jess 🤘
pointer ; when you need 2 hands to do a job but need to record it at that moment, use your helmet.
awesome looking enclosed hammock , great job.
nothing like good morning coffee. i tasted some once , it was called 8 o'clock coffee. it was
good. but i like the breakfast blend style [ medium ] , really good. of course a lil bit of sugar is added
for that jump start. lol .
i like the boots that have the tongue sides sewn close to the top, plus those can be waterproof as well.
if not then a can of waterproof spray will do the job .
lol , careful , those hammocks can be tricky if not seated well. i should know, i fell out of one, cause i was not thinking about center of gravity. and that hammock gets a mind of its own and rolls you out.
lol
awesome video !
That’s a pretty badass hammock.
You're an awesome young lady. Very inspiring, I've got a try me some moto camping and I love history documentaries lol
Look for Seasoned wood, it should have "checks" cracks on the end of pieces if its dry and also fairy light because the moisture is gone. Green wood like you already know will never burn.
Love it 😍
