Hi Jess and Shadetree, I've been following you two for quite some time and it's good to see your channels crossing over. I recently relocated from the 🇺🇸 to the 🇬🇧 and brought my baby along. Wanna do a ride from London to say... uh... Sweden? Finland? And hit a load of countries in between?
The bag liners are the coolest!!! Wife and I took an extended trip and they were the best. Clean clothes and toiletries in one spot. Awesome. No need for a cover.
The saddlebag liners are a game changer. I’m headed home to pack for my own weekend trip to the mountains here in NC. I’ve used them a few times already, made carrying stuff into hotel MUCH easier. I also have the bag guard bottle holders on both sides. I swapped out the plastic bottles for insulated stainless bottles…a little ice lasts all day. Have fun and ride safe.

To much of a science geek I suppose, but in seeing the ice coffee put in the cup holder, I was thinking "the Venturi effect will pull the coffee out of the cup, through the straw and spray Jess as in empties in about ten miles at 70mph."
If you get the larger saddlebag guard packs, one on each side you can put your rain gear ( coat, pants, gloves) and microfiber towels in them freeing up the saddlebags. I put the cooler in the left/ cool pipe side and a 6lb bag of ice lasts 3 days. You and APPA have a great trip.
Heated seat, heated gloves and heated jacket. Game-changing for winter rides. I know you are way too stylish for it, but Aerostich or Klim or Revit waterproof riding jacket & pants are another game changer. Ride safe on your trip!

You should have gone with a Ciro3d cup holder. There great and can fit bigger bottles and cups. You need to get a tour pack eventually it’s great for long trips.
no way... I have the same one she got. It can easily fit the largest drinks I can get in any drive through with room to spare. It adjusts in size and the coozie doesn't have to be in there.
Agreed. I have the Ciro3d cup holder on my 15 UCL. Taller drinks will not flip the holder. I have the regular sized one and it holds my 30 ounce Yeti fine.
I put the Sundowner seat on my Street Glide right before my gulf coast ride last May. 2600+ miles. my boney old man butt felt like it was riding on a cloud the whole way. I think you will like it for the long rides.
I know moto covers seem like a good idea for moto camping, but from my experience they take up WAY more room than they are worth. As an alternative a foldable tarp with tie downs will preform multiple tasks and take up less space. That seat sounds awesome.
Agreed, Harley makes seat cover ( basically a shower cap for your seat) so much smaller and easier to pack because you really only need to worry about keeping the seat dry when parked.

Inner bags are great, they do rob you of a little space, but it’s so handy to be able to grab one bag out of each box and walk into a hotel, rather than have to make several trips. Never had a cooled seat, but a heated seat is like heated grips, you don’t miss them if you’ve never had them, but when you try them you can’t believe how good they are. Love the cup holder, I’ve never had one of those on a bike. Enjoy your trip and stay safe!
So happy for you on this trip as it will be spring before I can take more then a day or two. That's life on a farm. Look at the rain pants and I will stick with my chaps for now. Can't see $370 for rain pants. I wear my leather jacket year round so my top half stays dry. The newer jackets with all three vents in them is fantastic. So much better then when I was riding years ago. Just have to remember to open them or close them in the rain. You have to come out to the high desert here in AZ. We get winter here but as long as there's no ice or to much snow I ride when I can. Be safe and have fun I was back home in Oklahoma in June. Lots of trees and water.
It's stink bug season here in Southern Indiana as well. Ughhhh I just returned from my longest ever motocamping trip. Took US 50 over to the Grand Canyon. Then hit parts of Route 66 on my way back home. (( 3820 miles round trip )) 11 days and 11 states and NO RAIN the entire trip !!! If you ever get out west. You have to ride the "MILLION DOLLAR HIGHWAY aka Highway 550 " !!! OH MY GOSH !!! What a road. Stay safe and have fun.
Honestly the best bet is a Camelbak. Only because it has a hose that you can stick up under the helmet and drink. Blah, blah, blah... people will complain about the weight on your back, but you won't even notice it if you adjust the straps correctly. I've used mine for years and I love it.
taking my first roadtrip on my Glide as well , Biketoberfest bound , had 9k miles when I got it a cpl of weeks ago, 11k today , full service today just to make sure ... so far I absolutely love this bike..BigBluePearl paint pops in the sun ... my other bikes are getting sad lol

Love your vlog. Just subscribed. I completed a 3,600 mile RT from Phoenix, AZ to southern Minnesota, on my 2020 Road Glide Limited back in April 2021. One piece of gear that helped me was a Hotwired 12v heated jacket liner from Cycle Gear. It doesn't take up much space and is so helpful in keeping me warm. The heated gloves don't fit well over my leather Harley jacket sleeves and are a struggle to put on but well worth the effort to keep my hands toasty on the colder mornings. Hope you have a wonderful trip. Looking forward to hearing how it went.

One thing with plastic or metal clamps is sometimes they will slip and to correct the clearance issue is to keep some rubber innertubes around to cut strips from and insert between the bars and clamp during installation before tightening... Sincerely;D.C._McVamPyur/*
The one thing I learned from my 4 corners ride is I took too many clothes. I took 5 days worth when I should have only take 3. Laundry places can be found in most towns and even if people look at you funny rain suits are great to wear while you wash everything else. A rain jacket over a heavy shirts works well when a leather jacket is too much.
I do not have handle bar on my Piaggio mp3 because made different! I put fold out cup holder and purchased a backpack water 2 litter hydration when I riding out of my helmet drink water! Mrs Jess

LMAO! Psst... 50 milliliters would be just over an ounce and a half! Your dry bag is probably closer to 50 LITERS, which would work out to just over 13 gallons. (A liter is just slightly smaller than a US quart.) Us Canadians have been saddled with this metric silliness since the 1970's, so we're kinda used to it now.
I got a set of bags by saddlemen.. it was a 4 piece set.. one full size, one half hard bag sized and 2 of the 1/4 hard bag sized bags. J&P cycles for $43 shipped. It SAYS it doesn’t fit my 2019 FLHR but they fit pretty damn well. I almost got the liners you got but I didn’t need two big ass bags. The medium bag fits my rain suit perfectly. I keep random shit in the little bags and for normal use I use the big bag as my work “duffle bag” (lunch, drinks, a hoodie, glasses case, etc etc).. for any longer trips that big bag will be great for clothes, the little bags for tools or for dirty clothes or some shit. I want that saddle bag guard water bottle bag but $80? Hard pill to swallow The insulated bag that is about 1/2 The depth of the hard bags .. I was so damn close to buying it but disnt think I needed a cooler for my bag but now I’m thinking about what I do with my main bag.. CARRY MY LUNCH AND DRINKS WHYXH NEED TO BE COLD.. and some other random shit .. 🤦♂️
hmm i dont think having a cup holder on one's bike mean that you will drink as you ride .umm.. no that sound a bit dangerous, but having a cupholder on the bike means you have a place to put it as you go through the drive through to take it home or as to have lunch or snack with your drink as yo do the social thing at the coffee shop..oh wait, that me ..i love doing that ..

I hope you realize that the rain cover is a dust cover and not for rain. You ar lucky HD sent you all that stuff. The seat alone goes for $900 and is a very comfortable seat. Also don't try to use the cooler with ice or fluid of any kind in it as you will find that after a short time it will leak. Just wanted to warn you. Enjoy your trip and HD stuff. Later

For long trips I love my camel back always have 3 liters of cold water .. easy access and I drink allot more water then caring a water bottle

I have one of those cup holders on my Honda kind of a pain at night trying to put drink back in it
I've found it difficult to put a gas pump in with the cup holder in the way lol

I hope you realize that the rain cover is a dust cover and not for rain. You ar lucky HD sent you all that stuff. The seat alone goes for $900 and is a very comfortable seat. Also don't try to use the cooler with ice or fluid of any kind in it as you will find that after a short time it will leak. Just wanted to warn you. Enjoy your trip and HD stuff. Later
