I’m 34 year’s old and big Road Glide fan and I was really sad😢 (teary-eyed )to see Appa go he was I great looking motorcycle and he brought me to the channel. Looking forward to watching future content regardless.
It cracks me up when people say they want their motorcycle to go to a good home! If I showed u 19k, u would not question where it was going or what I planned to do with it.
I really WANT to love the PA. My 21 was a mess, and when I was back in the ADV market I tried test riding them again. 4 attempts, 2 new 2 lightly used. 2 required a tow truck back to the dealer, 2 never made it out of the parking lot. If HD ever gets them sorted, they're amazing! Hopefully you have one of the good ones. Meanwhile, until they do, I went back to the BMW GS. Had many of them, all rock solid.
I bought a 2nd hand one about a month ago. Took on a 4day twisty mountain trip through rain and cold (Australia) and theyre a beast of a bike. The torque and power really make it such an enjoyable ride more than I expected. Enjoy Stevie and look forward to seeing your adventures.
I can relate. Due to some unexpected career changes, I was forced to sell my BMW! It was an R75/6. Bought it new in 1976. It had crash bars, touring tank, freeway pegs, faring, hard case saddle bags, rear luggage wrack, and rear seat back rest. Set up to tour. I solo camped through the US and Canada several times. Owned it for 24yrs! Experienced some of the best days of my life riding ole 'BLUE'. Felt like I sold my soul when I sold her.
Congrats on the new bike! I wish my local dealership would cut me a break on my Lowrider ST for a Roadglide. They valued my trade in at $12k… My bike only has 1,600 miles to boot.
Don’t baby it. Do lots of acceleration bursts from 30 to 60 at 2/3 throttle in the first 100 miles. You need to properly seat those piston rings and you only get one chance to do it right.
So funny reading all these comments about the bike being ruined because she didn't break it in properly. Guys stop the madness. Breaking it in is a thing of the past when machine technology was ancient, these laser cut pistons don't need it, that bike will be fine long enough for what she needs, what she is going to do with it before she sells it. Let her enjoy her bike and ride it any way she wants. One more thing, I am a car hauler, I get to watch how the rail yard worker off load new vehicles from the train and race them to the parking spots, vehicles with zero miles, cold, without warming up the engine, just turn it on and floor the gas pedal down the ramp. And then you go to the dealer, buy that same vehicle and you want to properly break it in, the rail yard worker already did that for you. Stop the madness please. In 2021 she got a lightly used 2018 RG Special, she had no idea who broke it in, how was it broken in, she bought it used. She loved the bike, did a bunch of mods, put a pile of miles on it, and just traded it in without any complaints or major issues, there is your proof, technology has changed, vehicles are more reliable, they don't need as much care, and we don't get to keep them long enough anyways so it doesn't matter.
I remember ringing the bell at Caliente Harley Davidson in San Antonio TX., I bought the 2023 Harley Davidson Sportster S 1250 , I just gave her a nice name! Ms. America! She's really nice! I take care of her and keep her safely covered at night! First Harley Davidson! No more Ninja bike for now!
I love the part where we can hear you talking to Appa when you're taking him out of the garage but you move out of frame - "you're a big boy"! 😂😂 Yes he is 😅
i just bought a 2024 PA CVO 3 weeks ago, coming up on 1K service. Power/handling is excellent, semi-active suspension system is awesome. CVO already comes with several upgrades, keep us posted regarding your future upgrades. ENJOY!!!
I've been watching you since the beginning of your channel and it still amazes me how far you have progressed I still have my iron 883 that I bought 6 years ago I'm cool with that though Congratulations on the new ride looks pretty awesome
You always look soo good on your new bikes Jess, congrats on your latest purch, these motors are the future of Harley Davidson and are proven to be awesome.
Congrats on your Pam America! I returned to riding after selling my CBR600 25 years ago and bought a 2022 Pan America Special (named Trinity) in April. I'm about to take my first ever epic ride from Kentucky to the upper peninsula in Michagan this week (about 2,000 miles over 6 days). I love the PAS! So responsive, and it handles like a dream. Looking forward to your future videos on Stevie!
If you camp take real good insect repellant. Mosquitos about carried me off last year around this time in the UP. Loop around across the Mackinaw bridge. Its a nice ride.
I say if you have the cash flow enjoy life, and if enjoying life means getting a nice bike that you like by all means go for it, I’ve never own a Harley but who knows it might be next on the bucket list, congrats and happy riding
Sold my Road Glide for the PA. No regrets. 300 lbs lighter, 150 HP, great tech. Verestile. Great cruiser too. Did I mention fast also, in sport mode whew.
Beautiful bike. Harley threw the entire motorcycle world a curve, when they came out with this bike because it is actually very well designed. I see alot of owners who love these bikes. Congratulations. Fun video.
No Way!! That's freaking awesome! The color and graphics are so cool. I haven't even test riden one yet but I really need to. Can't wait to see your new adventures!
Congrats on the new PA! I am a recent new PA owner myself so i'm stoked more people are getting into them. I dont have any other touring bikes so this is my touring bike, i've got the luggage (HD sport luggage) and i've already done a few short trips. Upgrades i recommend.. Mean city cycles do a seat reshaping (owner has a PA too) which is a night and day difference. Screaming eagle exhaust with the baffle removed. Not too loud, but sounds WAAAY better. Beefier skid plate. A1 pull back risers (i'm tall, needed it!). And the biggest is some lighting. The PA is weak on that.. check out Denali. I haven't done a ton of off roading but a 50/50 tire will be needed if you are really taking it off road for lengths of time. Anyway, looking forward to the PA content and ride safe.
Seems like HD is still screwing up the PDI on these PAs. Your left hand guard and clutch lever is all wonky. Congrats on the PA, I purchased one of the first ones in the dealers in 21. It didn't stay long with me due to the constant issues. Figured it needed a few more years to mature.
Congratulations on the new Pan Am! I love the color but the clutch and front brake levers are kicking in my OCD. They aren’t the same angle on the handlebars! Definitely way too high and not even. I have 12,000 miles on my 23 Pan Am; enjoy it.
I have the GIVI Alaska panniers on my Kawasaki. 36 L each bag. They make the mounting hardware for the Panamerica, so if I ever get another bike or a Panamerica, they can continue to be used. I highly recommend them, and they make the matching top box as well. All use the same key.
Fun story, I accidentally took dirt and gravel roads on my street glide in Canada going home from Gaspé for 40 MILES up and down steep hills. Sometimes you don’t need a new bike, you just need to get into that situation and say to yourself “okie now don’t f-in die” a billion times till you make it. LOVE the PANAM though!! The green is a fav color of mine. I’d love a breakout in that color for sure
My GPS brought me onto a gravel road through corn fields, going to garden of the gods in Illinois. I was riding 2 up with my wife on my RG. I was more tired from the 5 miles on deep loose gravel than I was from the other 200 miles of riding. Not fun riding an 800 lb bike, 2 up, with a weekends worth of stuff on gravel. Luckily it was all flat. I bet that 40 miles took a toll on you.
DUDE. I rode the Gaspe and found some random dirt roads that brought me back to New Brunswick proper - I ride a Road Glide lol........and my thoughts were WILD about it.
@@brett1468 omg it was like really loose gravel too, so super dicey! Two up would have had me crapping bricks man, kudos for doing that! It took a toll for sure but I MADE IT lol, and I was very proud of myself for not panicking and adapting to the challenge. I did almost pee myself because I had to pee so bad and didn’t have a gas station for another 50 miles after I got off the Gaspesian highway from hell. Invested in a kickstand plate immediately when I got home lol.
Congrats on the new ride. I like the name. I hope you put a new exhaust on it, they sound horrible from factory. I went the KTM route to balance the garage from my Road Glide. Its wonderful having both kinds of bikes.🎉🎉
Congrats! When you were riding Appa to Farrow for the last time, it reminded me of when I sold my 2018 RG back to the dealership in 2019 because we were trying to get debt free. It's the only time I named a bike, and she got her name as I was riding her back to the dealership. I turned on the radio, and the song 'Don't you wanna stay' by Kelly Clarkson and Jason Aldean was playing. I knew in that moment that the bike's name was 'Kelly' lol. I just got back on 2 wheels last month (a 2008 Electra Glide limited classic) and there's no official name just yet. And being that I didn't have a tire inflator for my new (to me) bike, I went ahead and ordered the Fanttik tire inflator via your affiliate link. Should be here later today :)
Good Choice!!! I traded in my 2020 RG for similar reasons. There is just something about getting rid of the restriction of being on paved roads. Makes it hard for me to trade my 2022 PAS for the new 2024 RG. Maybe if things pick up, I will be able to have both. Congratulations!!!
Bye Appa!!! Gonna miss you buddy!!! Hi Stevie!!!! Welcome to the family!!! You have a great mom!!! She will always take great care of you!!! Very cool Jess!!! Ride safe!!!!
Welcome to the Dark Side! (We have cookies!) Just co-led a 175 mile mostly dirt big bike ride yesterday. You're going to love being able to do highway to the dirt to the campsite.
i sat on a Pan Am at Berts. i was surprised how well it fit me, and im 6'2. i would probably add a inch or 2 bar riser just to make it even better if i had one. my knee comfort was really good too. i would add highway pegs though too. there is a guy in WA state or OR that makes aluminum hard bags for ADV bikes. not sure if he makes them for the Pan. cant see why he wouldnt. his channel is gosolobox. could save you some money. sad to see Appa go but i think you made a good choice. good vid
Just now getting to see this post. I saw the pics on the other pages and thought I was tripping when I saw the green reflection. That color is so dope lol. I have I actually traded a 17 RG for my 22 pan america when I got it new. Its been an amazing bike. Currently have a 23 low rider S bought 4 months ago, and a 12 gsx-r 1000 in my stable. Im also more of an enthusiast and like having the diverse bikes. I also love the low rider S a lot. So awesome to see y'all get the pan america! I have the Toce exhaust on mine. Its quite a bit louder sounds great though. cant wait to see what y'all do with that one and the adventures! Congrats again!
hope you have better luck with yours than I did mine. My 24 Panam CVO's motor grenaded at 2k miles... but up graded to a 24 roadglide and couldnt be happier
I have a 2009 CVO Road Glide and a 2021 Pan America, love them both. If I had to give one up it would be a hard choice. I would probably keep the CVO Road Glide due to the attention in gets with the factory Yellow and gray with white ghost flames.
Just got rid of my 2022, had it 22 months and cost me a small fortune. Side-stand is not great and on soft ground you need the stand with the big pad also if you load it up with panniers and top box it is not very stable while on the side stand due to its location. Two Brothers can was good but was a bit wearing after a while. Quick shifter worked well. Dealt it in for a CVO Road Glide the last bike that I will ever buy.
What do you think of her name?! 😊
Hell ya Stevie is on point. Congrats 🎉
Her name should be Envy (as in Green with Envy) (although I love Stevie Nicks)
Is naming bikes a cruiser thing? I don’t get it. LOL
@@MikesProjectsandHobbiesMC It's more a car thing....just don't name your's Christine. 🙂

Hello, do you know if this for all Harley Davidson motors, for example the M8? Also what about the BMW boxer motor?

I really need to demo the PanAm. The curiosity is killing me! High hopes for an even better 2025 model.
Best of luck to you and your new bike.
Wow! You go girl! Rite up the style of riding and camping
