    What mylar thickness do you recommend for a beginner that is making stencils

  • @sandybeebe9149
    @sandybeebe9149 9 місяців тому +1

    I struggeled to cut this mylar espeially the details ..i think plastic is best way to go...i print with acrylic paint right out of the tube. This acrylic paint tends to strengthen the heavy poster board i use plus once dry becomes water proof and less likely to tarè easy.. im thinking once this wet side dries start printing on theback side to seal this back side as well. Acrylic is a kin to plastic and has a lot of the same advantages that plastic has. 4:56

    this turned out great! do you think this is something i could use for stenciling names on the side of champagne glasses? could i use etching cream instead of paint to customize the glasses using this stencil?

    • @LovelyEtc

      If you wanted to add names, they make sharpie paint pens and also glass markers which would make it so much easier! I bet the narrow ones would work great on champagne glasses. Here is my affiliate link for a couple of options amzn.to/1ONrsK2 amzn.to/2sh9vCJ

    Did you use just plain acrylic paint or did you mix a medium with it

    Would regular transparency paper work or not?

    • @LovelyEtc
      @LovelyEtc  Рік тому

      I am not sure if that would work. You may want to try a small stencil to see if it does.
