How I Make My Stencils!

- There are TONS of ways to make spray paint art using stencils. This is how I do it, and hopefully it can help you in your own artistic endeavors! When I was doing art projects with the kids I showed them how to use a JUMBO WOODLESS GRAPHITE PENCIL to cover the back of the paper their image was on. Next wipe with dry paper towel. In doing this step, when they traced the image and removed that paper, the outline they traced was on the paper.

trying to do some stencil art on a podium that's for my laptop for a sort of gaming area thanks for the help gonna be doing a lot of sketching to come up with a stoner throw up

You are a good teacher. Thank you.You might enjoy using carbon paper to transfer your drawings or make your own by rubbing graphite or coloured chalk on the back then you can see the lines better.

I'm not artistic at all, I can't draw anything. But I wanted to do a stencil art on my ps5 faceplate. I'm gonna try to print the image I want, and see if I can make it look good with the stencils. Idk how it's gonna turn out

I have a question. I just want the outline of the drawing I’m doing. I don’t want multiple colors just the black do I just do that layer?
Yep! If you only want the black lines, that layer would be all you need. Depending on the color of the surface on which you're painting, you may want to do a base layer of a lighter color (like white) to make the black lines show up better.

Why didnt you just put carbon paper between the drawing and the folder
If I were to try to put the stencil on Denim pants what type of spray paint would u recommend?
I don't know of any kind of spray paint that would work well for that project. Normally fabric paint is the best way to get a long-lasting design on clothing. Any acrylic paint would definitely wash off pretty quickly. There may be a product out there that I've never heard of though.

I have this logo with a loose piece how do I spray that?
Is the logo cut out? If it is, and it's on a piece of average notebook paper, the paint will likely seep through the paper, and the design wont hold up for more than one or two sprays. On thing you can do it lightly spray the design onto a piece of file folder (like I have in the video) that way, you can cut the design out on a better material without having to redraw it from scratch.
