UA-cam needs to update their rules on tutorial videos and use this one as a shining example. Straight to the point, correct information and no BS. Awesome video! Thanks so much.
I've seen so many of these "clean your carb" videos, but this is the best in terms of explaining what the components do. Thanks.
This young man does a really good job and explains it well
He’s very very gifted 😊
Yeah.. he does a really good job.. like his stuff too... !!!
I was just thinking the exact same thing
Totally agree
dude.. I'm 5 minutes in and appreciate your editing. you don't have any bs in here, its straight and to the point. Ill go finish the video now.
thank you!
love the home made tools
Thanks for watching!
So helpful and worth the watch when someone knows exactly what they're talking about. Cheers
Thanks for watching!
Best video I've found on the subject - I wasn't sure about the o-rings on the pilot jet, nor whether I should try and squish it with channellocks. You confirmed everything I needed to do!
Thank you so much! I needed to know how to adjust this carb and your tips allowed me to set the carb up perfect. My UTV now idles perfectly and runs great again.
Thanks for watching Ken, don't forget to subscribe!
Really first class sequence. So many important made and extra helpful tips. Can’t wait to get at the three dead outboards in my garage!
Thanks for watching!
Excellent tutorial. You answered all the questions I had.
Could not get my generator started this is the best video on UA-cam as far as rebuilding this carb, had the same on my GX390 Coleman generator, now it runs like new. Thanks.
Thanks for watching!
Great video, very thorough and no nonsense. Thanks!
Great video, and thank you. I followed this video step by step to repair my Honda GX270 pressure washer - a non-runner. After disassembling the carburetor, cleaning all the parts, and putting it all together, it started on the first pull. Yea!!
Nice, always great when they fire up 1st pull! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the very thorough and understandable video! You covered it all.
One word for this tutorial , outstanding .
Thanks! Solved my problem with the Idle jet. Many other videos showed the other components to check and clean, but yours was the only one that only one that pointed out to clean that small hole. My generator couldn't even start. If it did it was for 1/2 second. cleaned that little jet and ran perfect. VERY THANKFUL since the generator only had 0.9 hrs on it. Maybe I will remove the fuel from it when I store it again.... for 2 years. :-) I did learn a bit more too with the other parts in a carb too!
Nice review and an in-depth how to video... I had my carb off my Honda GVC160 and couldn't be sure how to put it back together!?! You fixed that for me... Thank you!
Your a legend mate, you’ve told me everything I needed to know. 👍
Thanks for watching!
Appreciate the video, I have a 9 horsepower Honda that needs the carburetor cleaned so after your video I'm confident I can do it.

Excellent video, very clear and no waffle! Thanks so much from this old guy in the UK!
Check out Micks Mowers if you haven't already, he's local to you (UK) tell him Eliminator Performance sent you, cheers!
Discovered today the Carburator of my GX270 engine which always stopped after running a few moments. After watching this I feel able to understand and clean Honda type carburetors :-) I cleaned it and now it runs and I saved a costly trip to the maintenance shop.
Thanks for watching, glad I could help!
Very good video and very informative!!! This is easily the best how to video I've seen in years ...Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
I thought I had clean the carb, but until I saw your video I totally missed three components!! I'll have to go back and clean it all over again. The jet and pilot tube is totally clogged! Thank you so much for this! Now I want to go and clean my lawnmowers carb as well.
That was a great and informative video. Everything I wanted to know. You explained in detail about the parts and how they work.
Excellent video, answered many of the questions I had about that particular carburetor.
Wonderful video. Gave me the exact info I needed. I bought a chipper from Tractor Supply and got $200 off because they couldn't get it to start. With your info I got it running and got a great deal. Thanks!
Excellent! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this excellent detailed educational video. You have saved the day for me. I will be able to save my 20 year old power washer with the Honda engine. Carry On Sir!
Was exactly the same as my Cub Cadet rototiller. Thank you so much! It starts again now!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this amazing tutorial! This carb type seems to be the same as mine on Briggs&Stratton S1024 snowblower. Following your instruction, was able to properly clean it. Everything works like a charm, I think even better than it was brand new! (now it is 3 y.o.). Greetings from Montreal QC! Happy holidays!!!

Thanks man, just bought a barely used snow blower yesterday. The PO left gas in it, in his storage unit for the past 2 or 3 years. I got it cleaned up this morning and it's running well, which is great because they are predicting another snow storm in the NE. This really saved my butt and my back.
Thanks for watching!
did this to my Ingersoll rand air compressor yesterday. Runs like new now!
Video is excellent. I'd never taken a carburetor apart before but watched these 2 videos, on cleaning and replacement, and it worked great. Before cleaning, pull start was an exercise in frustration and electric start turned the engine over but still the engine died. After cleaning tips from this video, engine started on two pulls and just purred.
Thanks for watching!
EP another super job of editing one of the best yet and really liked how this video referred back to others you have posted, Merry Christmas and have a Safe and Prosperous New Year!
Thanks for the kind words, and a Merry Christmas to you as well!
Excellent video. My pressure washer would not stay running. Used the information to remove, clean, and reinstall the carburetor on my Honda pressure washer. Started right up. Thanks.
Thanks for watching!
Excellent video. Solved my problem of not knowing where to even start. (The inside of my carb looked like it had eaten a Slush Puppy.)
Extremely Thorough. Great work sir

Top class tutorial. Thank you for solving my problem.
Thank you so much. I just took out the idle screw and the plug underneath it. cleaned out the little hole, put both back and it runs great. :-)

6 litre ultrasonic cleaner great piece im raging lol, thankyou excellent advice and great editing
My Harbor Freight pressure washer has a Honda clone and only runs with full choke. Going to tackle the carb with your help. Thanks!
excellent explanation
Thx. My Honda starts! I didn't remove the whole carby. I just removed the float bowl and removed the jet and cleaned it. Started first time.
Right on, thanks for watching!
Great Video! Very good information!
Nice vids! Thanks for all your hard work!
Thanks for watching!
As always great video I've got one to do tomorrow
Thanks for watching!
Dude, I can't thank you enough! Without going into the gory details as to why (!) my carb was leaking gas like a sieve. Turned out it was the needle valve that wasn't sealing correctly. I know zero about engines (apart from which end the gas goes into), but thanks to this video, I was able to take the carb off my Cub Cadet snowblower and fix the whole thing. No more leaking. Likely saved a lot of money too. Thanks so much. Greetings from Michigan!
Glad to hear you're back up and running, thanks for watching!
Very informative and sharing some tricks and Tools used. Look forward to looking at your other videos. Thanks for putting the video up. Your customers must be happy with your work as well!
Great video. Thanks.

Thanks for watching!
Great video! Very well done!
Thanks for watching!
Awesome vid❤️
Very good video, nicely done.
Thanks for watching!
This video really helped me, thanks a bunch! Had a 1980 honda gen given to me. It's in showroom condition except I think the original tank of gas was left in it. You can imagine what the carb looked like on the inside! Anyhow, thanks to your video I was able to address all the components in this carb. You should have seen the engine oil, it looked like black curbled milk. Well she is all cleaned up now and running like a champ. 2.2 kilowatts of pixies flowing through my power cords.
Nice, glad to hear it's up and running, thanks for watching!
Great work!
You might be able to get friendly with your local dentist and ask for a No 6, 8 or 10 K file for endondontics to clean the main jet. They can't be used too much (work hardening) so as long as they've been sterilised after use should be safe. They're made for cleaning our root canals. Inset, twist and pull to remove debris. Come with a little handle. Handy also for water jet sprayers on your cars windscreen washer system
Thank you; I feel ready for the project ahead.
Thanks for watching!
Reporting back: full success.
@@yenra Glad to hear I could help, if you don't mind, would you please consider leaving me a Google review? It would really help me out, thanks again for watching!
Got me running, thanks.
This was a huge help man, really appreciate the video.
Thanks for watching!
@@EliminatorPerformance just out of curiosity, so I rebuilt my carb minus the ultrasonic cleaner. Set my adjustment. Still won't run. I'm going to do a compression test and spark plug check. Any idea what a good compression number is for a snowblower. Ariens?
@@farkid911 anything over 90 should at least fire if you have spark. Spray some carb clean in and give a pull, maybe no spark?
@@EliminatorPerformance yeah that's what I'm going to check next
Awesome video - thanks for taking the time to explain how each part works and the close up detail shots
Thanks for watching!
Very good video thanks 😊 from Henry in the UK
Thanks for watching Henry!
Good video thanks so much
Excellent video. Col 🇦🇺👍🏻
Thanks for watching!
Magnificent tutorial. Regarding that cruddy looking bowl......would painting it with Osfo and leaving it overnight do anything? That stuff is murder on rust and I love it. Thanks to you, I will now go attack my 13 HP Honda EX 390 with confidence. I appreciate you
Very helpful thanks. A tiny hole in the carburator was clogged, now my snowblower works like new!
Thanks for watching!
Good video , I think that we have to talk about not leaving fuel in the generator when it is stored, the major cause of this problem .
Or use K100S+ fuel stabilizer with your fuel, thanks for watching!
EXCELLENT VIDEO 5 STARS,
Those transducers work majic👍
Thanks for watching!
We had a large one in a radiator shop back in the 70s one of the first. Cut our work in half. Thanks for sharing, my farm has lots of small motors, this helps much👍
Excellent 👍 thanks...
Hell yeah brother!
Very helpful video and thanks for taking the time to share. I'm running into some issues with my gx160 took carburetor I took it apart to clean and noticed the idle jet did not have the little hole and using a sewing pen i was able to I guess free it kinda seemed like it didn't have one 🤷🏽 i also bought a carburetor for one of my other machines (gx240) and was curious I took the idle jet out and this one had a brass piece but no hole I tried a twist tie and smallest sewing needle and it doesn't have one, is this normal?
Honda jet cleaner set pn 07JPZ-001010B
Works great for those jets!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you!
Well done
Excellent video EP. I was looking for a good explanaition of these carbs. Perfect. Thanks
Thanks for watching!
Great video.
Thanks for watching!
Well done! One of the best Honda carb vids I’ve seen. Maybe you can help with a problem I have. Honda HS724 snowblower. Starts rough, will sputter and backfire upon startup. If I try an engage drive or augers it will sputter and stall. If I give it just a minute or 2 to warm up everything is fine and purrs like a kitten? Any thoughts? I’ve cleaned carb in ultrasonic cleaner poke all hole with wire? I did notice in this gif that maybe pilot jet isn’t seated all the way like you shown? Thanks for any help
Thank you just fixed my water pump the holes from the tube where clogged up
This was great, thanks for this. Does putting the gaskets and o rings in the ultrasonic cleaner cause any problems? Did you replace any of them as part of this cleaning? It didn’t look like you removed them prior to the ultrasonic cleaning.
No I haven't had an issue with it. If I can remove them I will, just so they don't get wet, but when they're stuck good and the gasket is still in good shape then I leave them.
Thank you.
thank you so much
Remember Honda tanks have a filter in fitting and stop up often. AllWAYS check it
Great more info then most
You and Steve's Small Engine are the best, Daryl clown can't stand them.
Thanks for watching!
Your good bro
B string from guitar works perfect to ream idle jet
Quick question. Does the mixture screw on the Honda small engines meter fuel or air? I need to richen mine a little but don’t know whether to turn it in a hair or out a hair because I’m not sure if it’s a fuel or air screw. Thanks
Hi, quick question. does ultrasonic cleaner , clean more than carb clearner.. please advise. i assume ultrasnoic clearner will clean places where some of the sediments that doesnt come off using carb cleaner. appreciate your help
well done
