Stihl sucks !all name brand. Vevor puts this to shame. All parts are same all made overseas.vevor is easy pull starts one easy pull. Performed well I suggest u buy vevorprice wise you will save hundreds

The worst thing about these is the air filter. The bottom of the engine fills up with dust after a while and that is what destroys the engine. And upgrading this will make them last a long time.

You may want to add replacing the spark plug or at least checking the gap and maybe how to change the valve cover gasket so that it doesn’t leak otherwise, very thorough and professional job. Thanks.

I have a older ms039 that I have had work done to over the years, it still likes to die after half a tank of fuel like a getting hot issue. I only run non ethanol fuel since last time it got a new carb. Very frustrating but i havnt checked the spark arrester but will be later

I'll tell you what, the STIHL MS 180 is a tough son of a gun NOT the MS180C or whatever JUST the MS180 is a good little saw considering doing tree climbing for my job, I love this saw for how tough it is. Hard to kill this one but they do have there problems.

I've been doing lawn care for over 20 yrs and I've never heard of running your line out longer than supposed to burning an engine up the worst thing that will happen is it may shorten the life of the clutch which is not very expensive nor does it take very long to change it out that's my take on it but everyone has an opinion I'm not saying I'm right or wrong that's just been my experience I never run a gard when I buy a new machine I take the gard off before I even start it up but that's just me

I'm just getting into chainsaw milling. I have a Stihl MS660 and a brand new 30" bar and ripping chain from Granberg. I get there's a break in period but my chain is practically falling off after every cut, I keep tightening it hoping that it was just the chain breaking in still. I'm gonna take it to the repair shop next week because I'm guessing it's the tensioner or the sprocket. I'm not an expert but I've put old/used chains on bars and haven't had that problem

thanks im workin on this same engine,2003 year..exhaust valve rocker was very loose n almost flopping..tighten up and still has a bad backfire they exhaust and dont start..after cranking 10 seconds...cleaned out gas tank,so thats good...magneto bad?..

question about your using a spark tester, why don't you just remove the spark plug and check the spark on it ? you merely need to connect the same as you did with tester.

every time i turn mine on its side or any farther i cant press the throttle like its getting hung up on something, turn it up right and its fine

Why does my chainsaw smoke

Hey Guys. With the help of this video I managed to replace the carburetor in my 180. But it's not running perfectly, it'll start right away but then it bogs out when I try to give it throttle. Then it will just die start bog..die over and over again. Any suggestions are there any adjustments that need to be done to the carb?

When I tighten the inner torx locking screw it does not lock my out rocker arm nut in place. It still spins freely. Why is the locking screw not doing anything

Curious - how often do you buy a new chain and how often do you buy a new bar for your chain saw? Are you swapping out bar and chain several times a year or much less?
