- Glenn Cardier is an Australian singer/songwriter who began as an art teacher but was soon bitten by the music bug. After being spotted on a TV songwriting competition, he was signed to Festival Records. Glenn recorded 2 albums in Sydney in the early 70’s. He then relocated to England in 1974, recorded an album and played folk clubs across the country for 4 years. During the 80’s and after a return to Australia, Glenn would tour with old friend Spike Milligan and front the band Bel-Aires on the pub circuit. Over his career, Glenn has opened for artists like Harry Chapin, Frank Zappa, Cheech & Chong and Manfred Mann’s Earth Band. After a 25-year hiatus Mr. Cardier returned to music in 2002 and has not looked back. Beginning with Rattle the Cage in 2002, my guest has released 5 more albums with 2019’s Wild at Heart being his latest. In 2009 Glenn formed his own band The Sideshow with a live show released on DVD and a highly acclaimed album, 2012’s Stranger Than Fiction.
Been a fan of Glenn since he played at a Blues Festival at The Entrance. I hope he comes back to the Central Coast to play again. ❤
