Hi Neil, here's a link of a very similar model: www.homedepot.ca/product/nutek-2-gang-plastic-box/1000404477 Not sure if it's more of a Canadian thing.. the one problem with these boxes is you can't stick the box out further in the drywall, but great for normal walls with just 1 layer of drywall :)
@@BecomingAnElectrician Thanks so much! You are in Canada which makes sense why I've never seen that box before! I will look in the US for it! Thanks again!
@@bigneilh No problem, you let me know if you ever have questions, or would like me to cover anything regarding roughing-in - that is what I'm tackling right now - here's the various videos/articles so far: becoming-an-electrician.com/tag/roughing-in-series/
Great if theres no drywall yet, but these suck if there's already drywall installed. No where to screw into through the box like the metal ones and the lip around it needs to be behind the drywall which you can't do unless you cut an even bigger hole, leaving you some drywall work. Not good for a quick install.
Not meant for a retro-fit. Meant for initial install. Also hard to remove if you ever want to remove it in drywall stage, but the box is very secure 👍 becoming-an-electrician.com/
