Love SI. Tried BATC last night after a long hiatus. Although the traffic is cool ( and costly on frames at KATL), it 0:48 is still doing a terrible job with approach vectors. Left me sky high on a visual approach to KCAE. I will put it on the shelf again until they improve this--which really should be a priority vs. Traffic injection.
SI is just in another level, no matter how good BATC is. It all comes down to whether you want to pay a one off or not. If you can afford SI, go with SI. You've seen nothing that can compare. Also the speed with which it gets fixes and new fixtures is unheard of. Both are awesome efforts, both are worth your money. And let's not forget about Pilot2ATC.
SI has that potential but I don't think the long time it takes to process it's instructions is going to cut it once a real world level of traffic is injected like BATC does now! I'm not sure BATC will ultimately work and it's processing time is about half that of SI. I'm not sure SI will be able to keep up with a realistic load of ATC communications at a busy airport such as Heathrow! It's hard to get an opening to communicate with BATC now,, and that's with only a traffic level of 5 it's going to be much harder to do with SI! BATC and especially SI has to improve their efficiency in response time, if they're going to work with injected traffic,
@@tf51d this is exactly what I thought up until I started using that little fantastic addon which has transformed my MSFS world. I don't care about the delays anymore, as they're at most up to 4-5 seconds. it's not that the human ATCs reply within a second in the real world either. But SI wasn't always like that, only a couple of months ago they had delays of 8 seconds. And now they've halved it. As the tech matures (they're using 19 different AIs!) they're bound to do the same when AI traffic is a thing. It may still be an issue in very busy hubs but it won't be elsewhere. VATSIM has exactly the same issue if you try and fly near Gander control on a Friday night you have to wait something like 30 seconds before you get your turn and perhaps 10-15 more until you get a response. SI is MSFS life, there's nothing that can compare to it.
@@captainzeppos I not saying it's an issue now, but when SI implements traffic injection like BATC, all during the time it's processing each Instruction both from you and the AI traffic around you more AI instructions are queuing up behind leaving little time to get an opening to make your requests at an airport like Heathrow or Atlanta at a busy time. I'm having trouble with BATC so I know SI is going to be even worse! What both need is some kind of queuing system, to slip in the user's requests. I think that might only work with auto-respond (or Copilot mode in SI) mode though!
I have BATC, but once I tried SI, that was it for me. Ive paid for a yearly subscription of SI. The audio is dramatically better. They continue to improve it all the time. Im glad we have options though
Si is really amazing . I have both and like both. Beyond is good now with the traffic and that gets better every week. With si you feel like you are talking to real people and just like in real life you get to ask anything you like and you will get a reply like say if you want to change a sid our star our runway our approach you can do. With beyond you are more on rail tracks and are limited to what you can say. Even with the traffic so far si is far better with traffic on its way soon . Dont forget the voices i am told with si they will be the same quality for both traffic and pilot transmission. Really Its all about what you want to pay. Which ever you go for they are both good
I also have both and thought that BATC would do it all for me. That is, until I tried SI. They are both very good, and the developers work hard to improve their products. For me, however, SI has the edge.
SI is way better. Lately they started slowly implemented traffic with each small updates. During yesterday's flight, I was told to hold short due to an airbus on active runway. SI is way to go and implemented AI cabin crew and co pilot adds so much realism, which BATC does not include. SI AI crew also announce destination airport welcome message, local time and temperature. It is super cool. I do not fly anymore without SI
No i had the say intensions pre recorded background atc chatter on so the other departures you hear are prerecorded from previous users…they don’t have traffic yet
What comparison??? BATC cant do VFR, cant do AI co-pilot, AI tour guide, progressive taxi lights, dynamic arrivals and tons of other kool features. If you try it, you wont look back.

@@tf51d In fact, SI AI response times have improved dramatically recently. Less than 4 sec.
@@tf51d But there's no cue in real life. You have to wait and jump in sideways on a busy freq.
Thanks for the comparison and kind words! We have lots of stuff planned for the future and no signs of slowing down yet 😎
It is a great product thank you for the hard work to make it happen

I agree and SI's voice model is way more natural
Altimeter Tree zero tree zero had my laughing

Very true SI feels more like being on vatsim with the voice realism. Thanks for watching
Have both, although Say Intentions is the better one in my opinion. The ONLY benefit with BATC is the traffic injection.
BATC is also procedurally more accurate in many ways, but SI is more dynamic.
and the price

So at Boston Sayintentions is departing traffic ffom rwys 4R, 22R, and 15, all at the same time. Is that for real.

SI is the way to go. And they get better each and every day. Simply amazing

dude, you compare the elements that are similar which happen to be the primary function of both software packages.
