Alright so now that it's the 2nd, I just wanna say, this was in fact an April's Fools thing, I have heard this song many many times before. There's been a bit of a trend of people reacting to this song the past 6 months or so and while I absolutely believe that it's possible to have not heard the song and I trust that most of these people are in fact telling the truth, there are definitely a few fakers in the bunch so I wanted to poke a bit of fun at that lot. As well as the channels that add nothing at all to the music and just sit there and say dumb shit like 'wow, how did they do that? That's crazy' etc etc.
Hence some of the extremely over exaggerated comments I made in this video!
I do love a bit of Queen, I actually watched Bohemian Rhapsody on the weekend (The Film) and it was extremely good, just wanted to have a bit of April 1st fun! Normal service resumes tomorrow, hopefully I didn't make anyone too mad haha.

The first time I heard Bohemian Rhapsody was when I was 6 years old in 1975 growing up in North Wembley, London, England. I loved it back then, and I will love it till the day I die (hopefully many, many decades from now). Everyone should hear Bohemian Rhapsody once before they die.

James Carlson YESSS Freddie mercury is the best male singer of all time and by far the best front man! In America, people fight about it but I still say that Michael Jackson is one of the best of the best vocalist and performers just as Freddie Mercury was to Great Britain. My sister argues with me and says that Prince was the greatest. Prince was good but he was a bit of an ass and he would tell people that they were gonna wear this and that or they were fired. Michael Jackson was so kind to people and generous just as Freddie Mercury and you don’t have to be a turd to get the point across.

ALSO, Very first part of this song when Freddy is playing the piano and singing solo and then you’ll hear the harmonies come in that is all Freddie Mercury! He would seeing various overdubs of the vocals to harmonize and then he put the tracks together, The band did the same thing with the operatic part except that they had three part harmony overdubbed overdubbed like 14 tracks. Nowadays they can do hundreds of tracks, but that’s because everything is computerized; and if they don’t like a part of the song they can just go onto the computer and edit it. The way they had to make records back in the early days up until the mid to late 1990s is take a little razor and cut out a part of the tape that you don’t want in the song and then tape it back together with scotch tape. It was very difficult and time-consuming on top of fearing that you would totally screw up the record. I have such great respect for these bands that were popular in the 1950’s, 1960s 70s and 80s because that’s how they had to do their music.. more work & more talent!

Lol 😂 Great April’s fool joke though! You need to do a review on Dimash Kudaibergen “SOS” or “Sinful Passion”! If you don’t mind gaining several thousand more followers bc Dimash fans are wild! If you’ve already heard him before then u know he’s considered the greatest vocalist in the world and if for some reason you haven’t heard of him then definitely treat yourself with all the Dimash u can find because he is out of this world talented & has fans all over the world!

This song is a classic, one of their best songs. You should react to somebody to love live 1981, Montreal, another one bites the dust., so many more. The singer Freddie Mercury passed away in 1991, in case you didnt know.this came out in 1975. Yes, they are British.

The actual video is from 1975. Freddie Mercury,(best singer of all time according to science, and me 😁) the lead singer very much unfortunately passed away from AIDS in 1991 😭 The drummer, Roger Taylor, and the guitarist, Brian May, are still going but with Adam Lambert as their lead singer now, but they don't do new music as a group, they sing all their old songs. They have alot of hits I'm sure you've heard, like We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions and many more. Please react to Somebody To Love live from Montreal. Amazing performance.

People get confused about when music gets loaded onto the server vs when the song came out. (Many do this - no fault to you on this). This came out in 1975 and Freddie died before the internet was a thing.

Great reaction. Just in case this isn't another complete April fools joke, yeah, Queen is British and the members are named Freddie Mercury (dark hair, lead singer who died in 1991 due to aids complications), the drummer (long blond hair) is Roger Taylor, the guitarist (long, dark, naturally, curly hair) is Brian May and the bass guitarist is John Deacon and they first started in the 70's and were huge through into the 80's and 90's (therefore the long hair and the flashy costumes were all the rage then). its incredible for the past 40+ years Queen is still considered to be one of the most popular bands ever! Making this song and music video at the time was actually a huge gamble for them cause it had never been done before and would either make or break them. The whole part in the song about the mother and "killing a man" a lot of people think its possibly the lead singer, Freddie Mercury coming to terms with being bisexual and in the 70's that was way taboo. Through the song he could be telling his mom and all his loved ones that the old straight Freddie they used to know is "dead'. However, its left open to interpretation, thats just one of them. These guys still stand up today because they sound just as good or even better live alongside their studio recordings cause of their pure talent and even now their works are a breath of fresh air. Queen's music is so diverse, timeless and put the "rage" in outrageous! have fun!

Just to add to that, this track when it first came out wasn't at all popular and was shunned by the radio stations at the time and it wasn't until Kenny Everett (a '70's DJ and TV comedian) promoted it on his radio show on London's Capital Radio and kept playing it when it eventually took off and became a massive worldwide hit after that!

Yep, you got it right at the start there, it was for April fools! Still though, I do appreciate the information regardless! I actually watched Bohemian Rhapsody the film over the weekend and it certainly gave me great insight into what I didn't already know of their story which was admittedly most of it. Freddy really was an interesting individual. To be honest, while I do know most of their biggest hits and a fair bit of their back catalogue, the film definitely highlighted some of the gaps in my Queen knowledge and how much I still need to explore. I probably will now go on a bit of a journey through their music with the context I now have. It should be great fun!

@@Yetiness I thought so. I saw the movie too and totally loved it. Believe it or not, Queen guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor consulted/produced with making the film, mentored their younger doppelgängers and gave it their gold seal of approval. Keep in mind, from the get go, they didn't want to make a documentary, but a film (like a family portrait) to truly capture Freddie's humanity and sensitivity as well as his creativity and stage presence. here's a behind the scenes interview with Roger and Brian. ua-cam.com/video/bVDHN52RnlM/v-deo.html&frags=pl%2Cwn here are a few documentaries with far better detail about the band and Freddie with interviews of the surviving members and friends etc. this one is called days of our lives: ua-cam.com/video/y2NOyPI8_m8/v-deo.html&frags=pl%2Cwn and there is another one more about Freddie, his childhood, his private life, his family, Mary, party life and last days called Freddy Mercury: the untold story. ua-cam.com/video/hNT-IRsH4F4/v-deo.html&frags=pl%2Cwn enjoy.

You looked shocked when he said he killed a man , but it was a metaphor for changing the person he once was and the person he became ! See Freddy was gay and ashamed, so one day he let the world know him not the person everyone wanted him to be ! Freely was not only for being the lead singer of Queen but he had the best Rock voice ever !!! He passed away in the mid 90's of AIDS but her will never be forgotten !!!
