What an awesome grave digger prop...puts mine to shame lol. I should look into a reindeer motor for one of my future props. Nice to finally see a video, but we all get busy in life. Definitely is a great face for sure... the eyes do freak you out!

When you buy a reindeer motor, buy more than one. Once you find out how easy they are to work with, you start getting all kinds of ideas. I buy them in bulk! Thanks for watching!!

    Hi.
I have been doing a yard display for the last 3 yrs (this season will be my 4th), but every year I get repeated visits from the police trying to shut me down because my display either offends people (priest costumes and the kicking hangman) or it draws crowds of hundreds (over 4 thousand on the night) and I live on a very busy street with heavy traffic and the street is rather narrow (typical UK stretch).
Do you ever experience such issues?
    Thanks

Uh, no. Wow, 4,000 in one night. My max capacity is about 400 per night through my haunted house. I've heard of other haunters being shut down by the police, so it can happen. Not to me. My Town has a exclusion from certain laws for charitable events ( I take food and money donations for a charity). Also, I received prior approval from our homeowners' association for the decorations. Now, I guess my neighbors could call the police if my guests are too loud, so I close at 9pm. They would have a fight on their hands otherwise, because I break no laws. I did have a neighbor lecture me on the bible and the horrors of hell, but I told him that this was entertainment and not serious devil's work. I guess if they were offended then they could choose not to stop and take part in the fun. It is something however that every haunter has be concerned about at some point.

    Hi.
Please could you tell me the dimensions of the platform board used for the waist?
My platforms are 18" long by 6-8" wide.
But I always struggle terribly to find where to position the motor and to then judge the length of the linkages from the motors and the length of the "tail" on the spine to the linkage.
Halloween props are extremely new here in the UK and I m on my 4th season of making props.

Howdy from Texas! The waist platform is about 16" x 6". Unless you're a mechanical engineer (which I'm not), the linkages can be somewhat difficult to figure out. I mostly use the longest arms that come with the reindeer motor (they usually come with two). My best advice is simple trial-and-error. My standard linkages are usually 4", using a narrow piece of wood or metal bracket. I place the motor in various positions until I find just the right motion. With this prop, it turns more to one side than the other. Also, I put a dab of wood glue on my nuts and bolts to keep them from coming undone. Thanks for watching!
