Even mounting the speaker you have in a box (sealed back) will make a difference. The open back you have now allows a lot of the bass to come around the sides and cancel out.
I am new to all this. But how did you get a single rotation of the motor? Did you use the park feature of the motor twice or just time it perfectly with the controller?
Great question! Yes, a parking wiper motor will give better control. Connect the yellow wire from the wiper motor to the PicoBoo controller per the instructions and it will complete one rotation and return to the park position. Multiple rotations can be programmed by simply pressing the PROG button again. Super easy. I'm glad they started selling these a few years ago.

I like the way the arm mechanism works. A bigger (and boxed) speaker will probably give the audio a bit more depth.
