    For the money, this is proving to be a great purchase for the data provided. The learning curve is not bad. The data seems to be more complete than the Garmin watches I’ve used through the years. Most of all, the battery life is terrific. I have the Forerunner 235, 735xt, and the Swim 2. The 735 battery really sucked. The 235 battery is good for a couple of days. The Swim 2 battery lasts about the same. Overall, I am impressed.

    For some reason it tends to lower your energy expenditure when cycling if you’re going faster on a route because you’re not on it as long. My average power output on a ride was 186 watts for 52 minutes... so that’s about 575 calories. According to the watch, I only expended 373 calories.

    Had one. Sent it back. Lots of things to like about this watch, but it is TINY. I am a normal sized guy, 5'10, runner's build, and I could barely fit the woven band around my hand. When on my wrist the watch looked like it was the size of a quarter. I also need a watch where it is easy to take a manual lap while running. I did talk to a Coros rep. and was informed that a bigger fabric band is either in development or on it's way to the consumer

    I got the Pace 2 one and a half month ago. Seems like a good product, can't really compare it to any other watch since it's my first. It's really light, you don't feel any weight when you're wearing it, this is something i like. Battery life is great. GPS tracking is very precise compared to my phone with strava, was really impressed by that. Optical heart rate sensor is good. Altimeter is good. Screen visibility is good. Very easy to use, easy to understand the menus and stuff. Coros app is good. One small thing that it struggles a bit sometimes is syncing to my phone, when i want to sync my workouts to the app. But this i suspect is my phones fault, an old slow phone. Another thing that didn't work for me was automatic syncing to strava, just doesn't seem to work, but luckily manually adding them is very quick and easy, so not really a problem.
    So, overall seems like a great product.

      How much battery life you are getting from your coros pace 2 ?

    • @Guovssohas
      @Guovssohas Рік тому

      @@ashrafsobli I charge it only once per month, i never use it when not exercising, i turn it off when not in use. First full charge when i got it i got about 23-24 hours gps activity, but with some usage outside of exercise, getting it set up right, learning menus etc. So it's really good. Remember, the full advertised 30 hours will not be reached unless you charge it to full and then start an activity and just let it die out. Even with a little usage it'll be less, that's normal with all brands. The 20 days regular use i can't say anything about since i don't use it that way at all.

    Nice overview. I have a few questions about workouts:
    1) Can you select Power as a Target in a workout
    2) In a display screen, can you have Power and elapsed lap time or Power and time remaining in interval?
    3) Can you have a workout that you advance to the next step with a “manual lap press”?

    The calories are very accurate. You have been riding 100min with a 240W avg. So 100×60s×240W = 1440 kJ. Thats the Poweroutput of your legs. But the efficiency is at 20 to 25%. And 1kcal is 4.182 kJ. So you can just take the energy output as kcal. So 1440kcal. That equals the results the watch has taken.

    I finally purchased the coros pace 2. I'm coming from Garmin instinct.
    I really like the coros pace 2, though there are some issues some need to know.
    Backlight can't be adjusted (set at one brightness and can't be changed).
    The widget wheel is a set thing, can't add or take away widgets/apps.
    The crown/navigation wheel kinda sucks.
    My biggest problem, the nylon watch band! Its material is rough and itchy. Idk how it will handle water.
    I have a disability that affects my hands so they get swollen, I have SOOO much trouble putting the watch on. It doesn't fit over my hand. Small opening. Even when my hands are not swollen, it's still a tight squeeze. I have big hands anyway.
    Now with these issues, it's not a deal breaker. I purchased regular silicone bands for my issue.
    I can deal with the wheel and wigets.
    Other then these issues, I do like the watch a lot.

      @WillEightFour 3 роки тому

      @@nehemiah9190 I'm considering selling my 245 and getting the Pace 2. Running with power really intrigues me. The frequent software updates and new features is a big plus too. As you said, the wheel and lack of UI & UX polish are a bit of a concern. Sports watches need physical buttons.

    Ok, I am definitely overwhelmed with the plethora of choices when I comes to sportwatches. I have watched dozens of your vids and still can’t make a decision. My wife and I bought Samsung Note10+’s and Galaxy active 2’s to go with them. I couldn’t be more disappointed with this watch. I am looking for the best gps/hr monitoring watch for mountain biking. I know for the best heart rate tracking, I need to use a chest strap, so a watch that supports external Bluetooth for this. Good GPS tracking, hopefully VO2 max so I can track my progress, and one I don’t have to sell a kidney to afford (cough, Garmin Fenix, Suunto Baro 9, etc cough cough). I am also starting to run as well to cross train. The stride metrics are definitely attractive. Because I see you’re an avid mountain biker, what is your best recommendation from your experience testing different watches while riding? The price point of this Coros is definitely one I’d like to stay close to, especially with all these features. Thank you so much, Casey.

    • @DesFit
      @DesFit  3 роки тому +3

      I’d check out this Pace 2 as well as a Garmin Forerunner 245. Both pair to external sensors and can provide VO2 Max. The 245 lacks an altimeter so you won’t be able to view accumulated elevation gain during your activity but it does show after the activity is saved in Garmin Connect. Although the Pace 2 is cheaper, the 245 has a more on the smartwatch like features, and then you have the option for a music version. Thanks!

    Thanks for the review. After a long layoff from running I'm looking for a lighter weight watch as my old Fenix 2 is a load on my skinny wrist. But I really prefer a HR monitor via strap vs. wrist, seems way more accurate. Dumb question but are you able to confirm I could use my Garmin chest strap with the Pace 2? And the strap HR reading would override the wrist reader built in the Pace 2 watch? Appreciate the help!

      @evvok7408 3 роки тому +2

      garmin chest strap is an ant+ device, pretty sure it will work. and most fitness watch nowadays will override OHR if HRM is present, I wont worry about it.

    I though it would a massive improvement over the past pace but it seems like they just copy apex and trim down some specs.

    Interesting! Would a Stryd still give a more accurate distance than the Pace 2 in a city? If it uses GPS to calculate live pace + distance, and not accelerometers, gyroscopes, and witchcraft like Stryd.

    Make a big square screen with huge numbers like the old Garmin 205/305 and I’ll buy it! Otherwise I’ll just stick with the Apple Watch.

    Is this the best watch for weightlifting type exercises? From I’ve seen it seems like it, I just can’t find clear answers does it have like a “ recovery/readiness “ score?

    Do you happen to know if I can manually set a custom length for a track, when using the track run mode? Since not all the tracks we are running in are 400m long...
    Thanks in advance!

    Great channel. If you compare Pace 2 to Garmin Instinct, what watch do you prefer?

    • @DesFit
      @DesFit  3 роки тому +1

      That will probably depend on your preference to design over features. The Pace 2 comes with a lot for the money but is in a more simple design but may be more susceptible to damage where the instinct has a unique design and may be more durable. Thanks!

      @@DesFit Thanks for your answer. In here the watches will be sold to same price during September. So it's probably more for the money in the Garmin

      Corning Glass is what they list for the display. Sapphire would be unlikely at this price range. Plastic body. Thanks!
