I watched your recent video regarding WHOOP strength training. Once you start your workout, there are two tabs at the top of the screen. If you click on the right-most tab, you do have the ability to change the number of sets, reps, and weight. I have done this quite a few times during the last few workouts. It works great.

I like how the pace 2 counts your reps and has the body heat map

You can also just choose “Strength” and it will track your sets and reps. Albeit the rep counts are hit and miss.

15:37 You can go back to the previous workout by just selecting Next Exercise and dialing backward.

Wish Coros had an lift auto-detection mode like Garmin, even if imperfect, as I simply don’t like to have to set the target muscle group every set, especially when doing supersets as consecutive lifts by design target different groups (and the pre-set workout is just too rigid for supersets and is missing some common lifts).

completely and totally agree. I still find Garmin to be superior on a lot of fronts over Coros' strength tracking - plus the wellness/sleep/recovery metrics

If I need to make not reps, but 50 seconds work, then 1 minute rest, is it possible?

If you want more complex exercises, you can put it in under custom. Asks for body part, muscles it is working...Unfortunately if you want to go in a edit that exercise or delete it later, you are not able to.

Too bad we can't just add the strength training in manually on the app.

You can't edit nearly anything post-workout. Quite a bit of it feels makeshift, but that was the deal-breaker for me.

Is there any platform that shows you the weight that you are about to use in the next set? What about an image or animation of the exercise you are about to do? Is there any platform during you like a heat map of the muscles you have been using in the exercises in the last week or so?

Yes Garmin - on pretty much everything you asked

Thank you for this video and reply. I was thinking too get the coros apex 1 pro since it has a sapphire glass and it's 100 meters depth water resistant compared with the same priced Garmin forerunner 255. I'll address the screen issue with a TPU screen protector for the garmin. But don't know yet about the water resistance for swimming in the pool with chlorinated water. My wife used to have a 50 m water resistance Fitbit, but the screen just feel off after multiple contacts with water. That's why I was aiming for a 10 ATM smart sport watch instead of just 5 ATM water resistance. Thank you!

@@Daniel-Condurachi sure thing - happy to help. I think the 255 will hold up super fine in pool swimming - Garmins are just made for that stuff. I need to check the animated aspect on the 255 though. Last - it doesn't do weekly heat map but workout only

@@Daniel-Condurachi okay it does do animated workouts - I've not done that before so you'll have to do the work to figure out how to display it. But it's a better watch all around than Coros in this area

This looks generally poor in terms of usability, they have a lot to do to catch up to Garmin imo

Yes they do, but are ahead in some ways too. I just think they should add more movements and add secondary muscles impacted by lifts.
