Javier Bardem as Apocalypse. He has the deep, raspy voice. He can emanate a quiet, eerie and visually imposing visage and presence. He has the acting range from psychotic, murderous to charismatic and caring. He's played both villain and protagonist roles and would make for a very complex, dynamic and very interesting Apocalypse.
That is EXACTLY who came to my mind when Nando was describing what he wanted in Apocalypse. I think he sounds perfect, and i know he's done voice actor work. [my favorite work he's done is as the voice of Goliath, the lead male character of Gargoyles] Plus, obviously, he's done a lot of acting in general. Both acting and voice acting as a villain, at times. I think he'd be perfect.
This has always been my idea for Magneto's MCU Origin: I think him being Jewish is hugely important. But given it's been 80 years since WWII, I've thought that while Erik himself did not live through the Holocaust, his parents did. But Erik does experience a horrific tragedy of his own in the 90s (being allegorical to the Bosnian Genocide around the same time in our world). When he thinks he's escaped the horrors of his family's past, Erik now experiences his own traumatic event. I do agree that a Jewish actor should play the character.
I actually really like this. Having his parents survive the Holocaust only to get killed by that same hate in another time and place better drives home the themes imo
I feel like Tom Ellis would be amazing for mr sinister, I think he’d absolutely nail the character and he even has the look, I’m surprised nobody mentions him

Not to diverge from the X-Men talk, but I’d love to see your casting ideas for DC heroes and villains in the new Batman universe, you’re always spot on. Not even saying I want a larger universe with those movies, but it would be fun to see your casting ideas for a future Justice League that would work with Pattinson’s Batman
Man, giving Megan Fox a role after all these years? Respect. I think she deserves a lot more credit for what she's done, with what she had to work with, and I believe it's high time Hollywood let her have the comeback--or rather, another shot at a better first impression--she deserves.
She's honestly not that great of an actress and was probably only hired because she was attractive, that's also probably why she hasn't come back to acting
If Striker makes it to MCU, he should be a podcast host. I know it sounds silly, but times have changed since the 80s televangelists and so should X Men adapt to current times.
Idk. Too similar to J. Jonah Jameson. That said, over the course of No Way Home, he went from fringe podcast host in his basement to hosting a daily news show on a major network (very close to his comic book origins of being a media mogul instead of a newsman).
I think I might have to start a petition to get this man hired by Marvel Studios as a casting director! How have they not hired him already? Absolutely Amazing!!
I think "unknown" actors work better tbh. Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Elizabeth Olsen were all relatively unknown when they started. It helps bring you into the universe when you don't see a character as their actor (like Harry styles).
@@TheTricky419 yeah but his career wasn't exactly in the best state and there are hundreds of unknown Oscar winners/nominee. The Oscars are out of touch. My point is I want to see a cast of new faces and not people I already see in everything.
I've always maintained that RDJ was perfect because of his highly publicized troubled past. It's easy to forget that he was a brilliant and promising young actor who made some very bad choices that almost cost him his career. Tony likewise struggles with a history of substance abuse, plays up a public image of charm and confidence as a defense mechanism. A man for whom proving himself is in many ways a replacement addiction to hide from inner shame. The redemption story of character and actor went hand in hand.
I would be interested in seeing Christopher Judge as Apocalypse, I think he could definitely bring the gravitas and power that Apocalypse has and his voice is perfect.
One idea I had about Magneto is that during the Holocaust, Hydra got their hands on him and often put him on ice, maybe even using him as a weapon, which could feed his hatred of humanity, kind of how they kept the Winter Soldier from aging too much.
I was thinking the same, but instead of using him as a weapon they try to use his powers as an energy source. But have to keep re-freezing him again because he is killing all their dudes.
I mean, there's already a semi-canon explanation that ties Magneto to the Captain America storyline. in X-Men: Evolution he uses a rebirth chamber built from the technology that gave Steve Rogers his abilities as Captain America.
Antonio Banderas is actually a great pick and you missed what is essentially his audition tape in the Hitmans Bodyguards wife where he plays a super rich, pulling the strings bad guy behind the scenes character.
Mister Sinister is probably the one Marvel villain to get away with a Broadway Musical Number as part of his movie, because he is IN IT FOR THE ENJOYMENT. Thus I suggest he be cast with someone who can sing, or can at least dance. I think Banderas can do both, so a golden pick.
As soon as I heard Magneto's voicelines I was thinking, "hang on, this sounds like hellofutureme," and then I checked the description and was happy to be right about hearing only a couple of words and recognising him
My main issue with Magneto being a Shoah survivor and having him age slower/not at all is that it means Prof X has to age slower as well or their friendship doesn't work as well anymore.
I mostly agree with you but I remember the X-men Evolution show pulled some shenaniganary to make it happen and it worked alright. I think the writers at Marvel could probably pull that off in a believable way where it adds to Magneto's perception of Charles as naive and Charles's perception of Mags as stuck in his ways
It wouldn't be hard to do a mild retcon where Mags finds a younger Xavier( Charles is less event linked) and attempts to sway him. Kind of focus on the philosophy debates. It's not setting breaking to have Mags being prone to being unclear about his own origin with their friendship. He doesn't need to spell out what he has been through.
@@mariomouse8265 not in the same way. Much like Stark and shifting to a more modern conflict Xavier and Marko can be shifted to a more modern conflict. It's not on the same scale as altering a holocaust survivor.
Make it more of a mentor relationship where Magneto is more of an older mentor figure that was there for Charles when he was a kid and taught him a lot but they became at odds due to their different views. It would create a new dynamic that would make the movies feel a lot fresher.
They'd most likely introduce the mutants by mixing universes, but I'd dig the idea of Magneto being kept in a SHIELD facility for decades, planning his revenge, as the mutant exterminion has already happened, but it was mantained in secrecy or forced into oblivion
I love that big name actors are willing to play one-and-done villains, but most X-villains need to be recurring. Mags, Mystique, Shaw and Sinister should be an ongoing threat and part of the universe. Juggy and Apocalypse need to be unkillable if not recurring.
While i don't disagree this has not been how mcu villains have worked, like even villains very solidly in the "unkillably recurring" camp in the comics like Ultron have had pretty final ends. Though i *would* love to see an Ultron in Space plotline based on Annihilation: Conquest, i don't think they're gonna have any like Large Existential villains be recurring. On the other hand i couldn't tell you what they have in mind for Kang yet.
The Ancient One launching Magneto into the future (or sealing him in a timeless prison) could work. He’s tearing apart Germany nearly kills Captain America then is blinked away. The idea is she’s trying to send him to a time without oppression but he returns when the Ancient One dies.
Magneto NEEDS to be based in space on Astroid M or Avalon. He also needs his origin to be based around some other racial conflict besides the Holocaust to keep him somewhat age appropriate.
@@ceecooksey4885 as someone who is jewish it’s a slap in the face to change his jewish past, they can find a way to deage him and keep his past just like they did for Steve and Bucky because it’s quintessential to his character and his main thing is never again because nothing like that is ever gonna happen again if he can stop it, and while horrible things have happened in the world that shouldn’t have happened there’s nothing that come close to the atrocities of the holocaust
For Apocalypse, I'd go with Keith David. Phenomenal voice (Gargoyles), has a great physical presence and can be downright terrifying and unsettling when it is called for (as in Requiem for a Dream).
Maybe if it was just his voice. He's already been in Thor. Not as much as I would have liked but enough that I think it would be noticeable if he played someone else
Every time I think of the X-Men in the MCU I get excited! There’s so much potential. I just wanna see the X-Men interact with the Fantastic Four and even Spider-Man
Mr. Sinister would be a great first villain for the MCU X-Men because the next X-Men should 100% focus way more on Scott Summers and Mr. Sinister is the most Summers-centric villain they've got. We've seen Magneto so much and while it's typically best to introduce Sinister as kind of a lacky of Apocalypse, we need to wait awhile for another Apocalypse.
i think Arcade could work well as double feature, because he is not only a Xmen Villain, but he also started as a Spiderman Villain in the first place,so he could also be used for having spiderman crossing paths with the Xmen
Mojo would be a great villain for the first x-men film. Not only it would allow the movie to have more sci-fy concepts but it could justify why we haven't seen mutants yet in the MCU, with Mojo and his henchmen kidnapping the young mutants on Earth and forcing into be part of his "TV show". Some of them, after years stuck, could choose to stay with Mojo, beliving they have no place to go on Earth, since the people they met treated them like monsters. This is where the X-men come in, showing that there's still a place for the mutants on the world and restoring the mutants spirit and desire for freedom. As for who could play Mojo, my fancast would be either Dan Fogler or Jack Black
If we do the X-Men not as an origin but as an “they already existed on the sidelines” type story, the first movie should start with a Mojo cold open, where the specific team is battling through Mojo’s forces in a nondescript Guardians Of The Galaxy-type location. There’s a ticking countdown that’ll lead to a massive destruction-type event. As they’re running through the complex, a large screen slams down and blocks their way. Mojo appears and starts monologuing about how they’ve jumped the shark and ruined the chances at a third season. All the while, the team is fighting faceless sentries and talking to each other. Very GOTG2 intro in vibes. Mojo finally comes down in person to watch them die. The team thinks up a plan on the fly, distracts Mojo, and escapes his realm. The countdown reaches zero and we see fire and hear Mojo scream as the portal closes. He might be dead, he might come back. As the team brushes themselves off and stands in the Hero Formation™️, we get the title card.
@@deanscordilis7280 I can see Mojo working in a X-men origin movie as well. One pitch I had mind was for the first x-men movie to focus on Scott as he lose his family, is separate from his brother but finds Xavier and the two recruit the first class of X-men. Their first mission could involve investigate some young mutants who are being kidnapp by a goverment organization that claims to take care of super-humans, however, as the heroes track them down, they discover that it's all fake, the organization is led by Spyral, who kidnapps young mutants and sends them to the Mojoverse, where they become slaves and are force to participate in his tv shows. So the second half of the movie would have the X-men having to travel to Mojoverse to rescue this mutants. This would not only give the MCU X-men a balanced tone between the weird sci-fy concepts and the relatable topics like prejuice and fight against opression but would play into the X-men arc, as they go from young mutants who find a new home in the Xavier School, becoming heroes who help other mutants to find their place in the world as well.
A mister sinister driven movie where he’s hunting the summers brothers could be fun. Crossing all the fingers they get weird and include Vulcan in that
Haven’t watched the video yet, but Allan Tudyk would make an amazing Sauron. He’s got experience playing motion captured characters with K2SO, he’s a very accomplished actor who is more than willing to make weird animal sounds as seen in Moana, and most importantly the man understands the importance of dinosaurs having a fertile land where they will thrive and rule over all said land.
I'm surprised you went with so many repeated villains from the Fox movies. With the first two MCU Spider-Man movies introducing Vulture and Mysterio rather than recasting more obvious picks like Doc Ock or Green Goblin, I would like to see that approach for the X-Men too. I don't have a fancast list, but I would prefer any of these to show up over people like Stryker, Sebastian Shaw and Apocalypse again: - Shadow King - Mojo - Cassandra Nova - Onslaught - Bastion - Madelyne Pryor - The Brood To be honest I'm kinda even over Magneto and Mystique at this point. They've been in literally every single X-Men movie, surely we can get at least one without them, right? Mr. Sinister and Arcade are definitely exciting though, and the actors you picked were all solid.
I think Magneto is essential enough that he needs to show up eventually, but it'd be nice if they saved him for movie 2 or 3 to let other villains get a chance to shine.
I think they should be in the mcu because of how important they are long term but not in the first xmen film. I also think Mystique should be introduced as a villain or a side character in a non xmen film.
The Shaw from First Class has very little in common with comics Shaw, so I wouldn't mind a new, more accurate version. Or a better version of Apocalypse in a better movie. The problem with like half of the villains you suggest is that they require too much set up to be first movie villains. Onslaught showing up would have less impact if Xavier and Magneto aren't established characters. Bastion is meant to be an evolved version of the Sentinels so they and the threat that both human bigotry and machines pose towards mutants need to be established before he can show up. As for Madelyne, even if you simplify her backstory, you still need to set up Jean and Scott and her relationship with them and also Sinister.
Jon Hamm said recently in a interview he was in talks to play Mr Sinister in the Fox X-Men movies I love this casting Jon Hamm is fantastic and also a huge fan of X-Men comics
This is a fantastic list & hope there’s a part 2 for other big X-Men villains such as The Shadow King & Mojo. Plus those that play heavy roles in X-Men lore like Rasputin, Destiny, Bolivar Trask & Mastermind
These are great picks! My pick for Mr. Sinister would be Neil Newbon, who played Kamski from Detroit: Become Human. He’s 6’2, English, and can be the flamboyant and stylish Sinister, whilst also being a creepy scientist, and mastermind creator.
Okay, I don't know the guy at all like I've never seen him but I kinda see what you're talking about! You immediately notice the eyes. Very cool choice!
Love your Emma casting and the panel you picked but there's something else that I think is worth mentioning about her character that is often missed: She's a genius. Not just with how she can manipulate people and turn situations to her advantage, but also just in terms of pure intelligence. In some early stories Emma would invent devices for the Hellfire Club, including the very piece of technology that Mastermind used on the Phoenix. If/when we get a version of Emma in the MCU I want them to not only highlight her style, her manipulations, her insecurities (there's a reason Morrison gave her a diamond skin secondary mutation), but also that raw intellect. Personally, my favorite Emma moment comes from New X-men #150: Esme's death. Everything that happened due to Esme's betrayal, including Emma's own death, and she is still proud of her student/clone and cries at her death. The moment is such a perfect, small, example of Emma's personality and how she views people.
Wow Denzel as Apocalypse is BIG, it would be insane if Denzel was in any superhero movie honestly. My previous number 1 choice was Charles Dance for Magneto, but now I can’t unsee Isaac’s. Also love love love the Megan Fox redemption role for mystique that would be amazing!
I cheered loudly when you said Meghan Fox, she's also my Nr. 1 pick for Mystique. As for Mr. Sinister, when you did your Keanu Reeves MCU cast video, that role was honestly my favorite pick for him. Though I think Antonio Banderas would be an amazing choice as well
I'll be honest I'm never sure what the effective difference is between Arcade, Mojo and the Beyonder. They all kidnap the heroes and pit them against challenges or one another for entertainment. Of the three I think I'd prefer to see Mojo on screen.
I hope we get to see some amazing X-Men villains in the MCU with depth and great motivations like they are in the comics. The X-men villains are amazing and really slept on usually
Seeing the way Disney/Marvel handled the adaption of MCU characters and their stories so well, I have high hopes. Casting, too. MCU movies aren't as "deep" or "complex" as comics, but it's deeply entertaining! I hope the same for X-Men. I wants the world to fall in love with them like I did was I was a kid. 😍
@@headoverheels88 I agree, high hopes are definitely something to have. I think MCU movies are entertaining and could push deeper and I really hope they go deep for the X-Men and especially the Fantastic Four when they all get introduce. Makes sense I suppose, the X-Men don’t get to have fun with their powers, cause they have mutations not powers so it’s all misery and not a power fantasy. So their counterpart villains oppose them on an ideological level and are having a great time!
Andrew Lincoln is my pick for Magneto. Andrew has proven to play the leader of the people and can play a brother that is overly protective but a brother you should never cross and Andrew is in a perfect age.
Had never even heard of Jason Isaacs before this, i find it amazing that someone can look EXACTLY like both of his previous two iterations at the same time

Also I think the Juggernaut should be played by a wrestler, like Roman Reigns or Kurt Angle; get someone who can play the violence and who already has a larger than life insane physicality, that you can then enhance with CGI like the giants from Game of Thrones.
Gosh, the X-Men have the best villains. You could do all the ones mentioned here and still have a deep bench to go through. And then you still have the Cassandra Nova bombshell to drop, or Onslaught (lol), or whatever else. Plus, humans like Stryker are often very compelling villains as well.
He already mentioned Stryker so you didn't have to retred, lol. In all seriousness, there's still villains like Selene, who i think is maybe even older than Apocalypse, there's still Vulcan the 3rd Scott brother, even Legion if you don't want to make him a hero.
I really like Carly Chaikin for Mystique, she plays Darlene in Mr. Robot. She can pull off a bad guy who’s kinda more out for their own self interests than anything, plus I’d love for her to get more high profile roles
From her other roles. She has *that similar* temperament, or can have that *similar temperament* Like Rebecca Romijin had in X-Men 1. I can see it! Especially from her performance & athleticism in the Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy as cat women.
You always find ways to surprise me with these fantastic ideas! I've been saving McConaughey for Norman Osborne, but he's so charismatic that if he, as Stryker, made a speech like the one you highlighted, I'd have to consider his words for at least a little bit.
“…in fact I think he maybe the single most interesting comic book character of all time” as a comic book fan that has grownup with Magneto being their favorite character, I am looking forward to see who you cast. Edit: great picks and yes I agree.
my personal fan casting of Magneto has been Christoph Waltz, there's just something about him that would be such a brilliant Magneto, while being very distinguishable from mckellen and fassbender
You brought up how Bobby Drake was in a relationship with Mystique and I instantly thought of Bobby Drake going up to Mystique while she's reading a book and trying to avoid saying "can you turn into a guy tonight" but also wanting her to to into a guy while she has already done that multiple times for Destiny. Also shoutouts to my boy Arcade, keeping it real since whenever Ultimate Alliance came out
There's a sketch from a fairly recent episode of SNL that convinces me that Mikey Day needs to play a villain in something. I really think he'd be a fantastic Arcade.

[my favorite work he's done is as the voice of Goliath, the lead male character of Gargoyles] Plus, obviously, he's done a lot of acting in general. Both acting and voice acting as a villain, at times.
I think he'd be perfect.
That could work especially if you cgi Apocalypse.
Kieth David is the only choice.
I do agree that a Jewish actor should play the character.
that sounds awesome actually
I actually really like this. Having his parents survive the Holocaust only to get killed by that same hate in another time and place better drives home the themes imo
I genuinely like that. It's a great way to update Magneto's origin.
Jason Isaacs is (non-practicing) Jewish actor and looks the part with white hair.
I feel like Tom Ellis would be amazing for mr sinister, I think he’d absolutely nail the character and he even has the look, I’m surprised nobody mentions him
I think so too!
Great pick
Oh man that would be amazing.
That is actually close to a perfect fancasting!
Literally perfect casting. I want this now
I want to believe that in the vastness of the multiverse there’s an X movie out there with David Bowie as Mister Sinister.
I get why you cast Emma with other x-men villains, but she’s cemented herself as a staple for the x-men. One of the most entertaining mutants to read.
Easily one of my favorite X-Men also
@@NandovMovies love Emma, don't really read comics anymore but I still collect her covers.
Tells me that she would be the perfect character to turn her act arpund. Start her as bad, then have her character grow into a well-respected member of the superhero community.
I still see Emma as an antihero
She's definitely a favorite of mine. I've always seen her as a neutral party.
If Apocalypse is not handled like the way Thanos was, I'll be disappointed.
The thing with villains like Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix, is how do you defeat them in the end?
@@christianfrost8660 The same way Thanos was defeated. As a team. 😆
@@BlackHedgehog With the power of FRIENDSHIP
@@christianfrost8660 i’m sure it’s explained in the comics. if i’m not mistaken, didn’t the x-men and avengers get the scarlet witch to defeat dark phoenix?? use that maybe. idk about apocalypse
@@omarslayzScarlet Witch is powerful but the problem is that Chaos energy cannot compete with Psionic energy, it is the energy that binds the Multiverse, the Astral Plain and the source of all psychic power.
I've always thought Jason Isaacs would be the perfect middle ground between Ian McKellen's and Michael Fassbender's versions. Not too young, not too old, he seems to have the right energy you'd want for an antagonistic Magneto-type, and as an added bonus, he's of Jewish descent!
I like the idea that mister sinister has that gem just cause it adds to the look and no other reason. Makes the most sense for his character
@@Jiub_SNtf you mean she’s a great actor.
If Striker makes it to MCU, he should be a podcast host. I know it sounds silly, but times have changed since the 80s televangelists and so should X Men adapt to current times.
Info Wars William Stryker
Westboro Baptist Church (and other extreme viewpoints) still exist
The Striker Experience
I think making him a Ben Shapiro or Charlie Kirk type(parody?) could be interesting
Robert Downey Jr unkown? Dude was nominated for an Oscar for his Charlie Chaplin's performance
@@TheTricky419 yeah but his career wasn't exactly in the best state and there are hundreds of unknown Oscar winners/nominee. The Oscars are out of touch.
My point is I want to see a cast of new faces and not people I already see in everything.
Marvel and DC are pretty big now. A lot of actors want in now.
Robert Downey Jr. was most definitely wasn’t an unknown.
That's a unique take I haven't seen before. It's too winter soldier but I really like your idea because it's not the typical "just de age him"
I was thinking the same, but instead of using him as a weapon they try to use his powers as an energy source.
But what about his family line ?
That also solves the issue of wanted Xavier to be the same age as him for their friendship
Please don't pitch me a mister sinister musical number because I know for a fact they'd never do it and I'll only ever think of that idea lol
@@tepetkis Not really. Charles Xavier and Juggernaut are linked to the Korean War.
I think one of the hardest villain to get right in the MCU will be Sabretooth.
I actually enjoyed Liev as Sabretooth. I would consider just bringing him in, though his age could be a factor......
They'd most likely introduce the mutants by mixing universes, but I'd dig the idea of Magneto being kept in a SHIELD facility for decades, planning his revenge, as the mutant exterminion has already happened, but it was mantained in secrecy or forced into oblivion
I was like "why not have Jason Isaacs as Mr. Sinister" then I was like "oh, that's why, yeah let's do that."
Wait, so who would you cast as Emma Frost now that MCU confirmed that Vanessa Kirby is going to be playing sue storm invisible woman?
The Ancient One launching Magneto into the future (or sealing him in a timeless prison) could work. He’s tearing apart Germany nearly kills Captain America then is blinked away. The idea is she’s trying to send him to a time without oppression but he returns when the Ancient One dies.
What if Shield held Magneto on ice for a long time in a cryogenic prison? Like there was no way to keep him in the shield prison.
It could work, they can also make him a victim of the blip too, if they want him in his 30s
@@makeitthrough_ no, I said that they can also do that in TOP of what the first comment said
For Apocalypse, I'd go with Keith David. Phenomenal voice (Gargoyles), has a great physical presence and can be downright terrifying and unsettling when it is called for (as in Requiem for a Dream).
Did you forget his voice as Spawn, Mongul (Young Justice) and Dr Facilier (Princess and the Frog)....
Edris Elba as Apocalypse..but I would say him as half the cast!
I like that. His voice would work.
Maybe if it was just his voice. He's already been in Thor. Not as much as I would have liked but enough that I think it would be noticeable if he played someone else
@@legendswarble2845 true. but its not as if we recognized Oscar Isaac either
I love these videos from you, I especially appreciate the voice cast for the comic panels. Reading out comics really could be its own channel series
Vanessa Kirby I believe is your best casting. Yeah, she’s a perfect Emma
Every time I think of the X-Men in the MCU I get excited! There’s so much potential. I just wanna see the X-Men interact with the Fantastic Four and even Spider-Man
I didn’t see arcade coming, but did you consider Cameron Monaghan? He played the “Joker” in Gotham. I personally think he would do TERRIFICALLY!!!
I think Cameron Monahan would be better for Pyro.
Jerome and Jeremiah were technically not the Joker. I mean he basically was but according to the writers he wasn't
Part of me would love Sinister to be played by Jeremy Irons channeling his role in Dungeons and Dragons
i think Arcade could work well as double feature, because he is not only a Xmen Villain, but he also started as a Spiderman Villain in the first place,so he could also be used for having spiderman crossing paths with the Xmen
I am amazed that you never considered to include Mojo as a possible X-Men villain fancast.
Mark Hamill.
I’d want Mojo waaaay more than arcade.
Crossing all the fingers they get weird and include Vulcan in that
Jason Isaacs Magneto and Mark Strongs Xavier would be so dynamic and badass.
I love the description of the Juggernaut. Seeing this take on him would be so unique compared to any other villain we've sen so far.
Nah, Tudyk would be better for Annihilus.
I had to do a quick Google search bc I completely forgot there was a marvel villain pterodactyl named Sauron and I was extremely confused 💀😂
I'm surprised you went with so many repeated villains from the Fox movies. With the first two MCU Spider-Man movies introducing Vulture and Mysterio rather than recasting more obvious picks like Doc Ock or Green Goblin, I would like to see that approach for the X-Men too.
I don't have a fancast list, but I would prefer any of these to show up over people like Stryker, Sebastian Shaw and Apocalypse again:
- Shadow King
- Mojo
- Cassandra Nova
- Onslaught
- Bastion
- Madelyne Pryor
- The Brood
To be honest I'm kinda even over Magneto and Mystique at this point.
Also, Apocalypse kind of reminds me of DC villain Darkseid (given how similarly drawn they are at times).
Jason Isaacs as Magneto blew my mind. 10000% yes!!!! What casting
Excellent choice
Now THAT is an original and fascinating choice. Finally, someone with some imagination. I agree he would be a great choice.
Mr. Sinister understands the important of PRESENTATION
I can’t wait!!! Honestly I hope Fassbender returns as Magneto. He’s the perfect casting and the perfect age for the current MCU.

I cheered loudly when you said Meghan Fox, she's also my Nr. 1 pick for Mystique. As for Mr. Sinister, when you did your Keanu Reeves MCU cast video, that role was honestly my favorite pick for him. Though I think Antonio Banderas would be an amazing choice as well
absolutely was not expecting schaffrillas productions as arcade, loved it tho lol.
"You may ask 'why are we starting with Mr. Sinister?"' Never even occurred to me.
I love Mr Sinister. It's unconscionable that they never got to him in 20 years of XMen movies.
sooo much thought and effort was put into this!
your passion is inspiring
I hope they go all out so many people can love the X-men for what they are.
Love that the drawings are back, digging the new color.
So what this video teaches me is that all the X-Men villains are just living their best life, they all have fun with it.
Aren't they though
Makes sense I suppose, the X-Men don’t get to have fun with their powers, cause they have mutations not powers so it’s all misery and not a power fantasy. So their counterpart villains oppose them on an ideological level and are having a great time!
Andrew Lincoln is my pick for Magneto. Andrew has proven to play the leader of the people and can play a brother that is overly protective but a brother you should never cross and Andrew is in a perfect age.
I don’t know why I’m rewatching this instantly after finishing it but I really like your fan casting vids Nando. Really cool good job
Had never even heard of Jason Isaacs before this, i find it amazing that someone can look EXACTLY like both of his previous two iterations at the same time
Can I just say, my jaw dropped when you said Matthew McConaughey should play Stryker. He's PERFECT!
Here´s a wild idea: Paul Giamitti for Sebastian Shaw! Might work might not, but I´d be interesting none the less.
I think Alan Tudyk would be an amazing Arcade. Also I think the Juggernaut should be played by a wrestler, like Roman Reigns or Kurt Angle; get someone who can play the violence and who already has a larger than life insane physicality, that you can then enhance with CGI like the giants from Game of Thrones.
I think this video was much better than the one where you cast the X-Men. Major improvement.
lots of mutants have a secondary mutation that makes them age slow - just have professor x and magneto both have the same slow aging mutation
The sinister reading while the violin goes in the background. Love it. Was a chefs kiss moment
Not to mention the Phoenix saga... Lol
He already mentioned Stryker so you didn't have to retred, lol. In all seriousness, there's still villains like Selene, who i think is maybe even older than Apocalypse, there's still Vulcan the 3rd Scott brother, even Legion if you don't want to make him a hero.
love these videos, they make my day
I really like Carly Chaikin for Mystique, she plays Darlene in Mr. Robot. She can pull off a bad guy who’s kinda more out for their own self interests than anything, plus I’d love for her to get more high profile roles
Great video! I personally think Cameron Monaghan could make an interesting Arcade if we ever see him in an X-Men film.
I could definitely see Anne Hathaway as Mystique. She has the range.
She literally has the OPPOSITE of range lol
@@SULLENBOY2007 lol why?
From her other roles. She has *that similar* temperament, or can have that *similar temperament*
Like Rebecca Romijin had in X-Men 1.
I can see it!
Especially from her performance & athleticism in the Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy as cat women.
Solid picks! Had a lot of fun guessing based off your parameters. Personally think we should see Mojo as a central villain.
Cain Marko Juggernaut has always been a talkative guy, I have no idea where you're going with the "never speak" thing.
When you said Denzel it me wish that James Earl Jones was younger, he could definetly by Apocalypse
finally!! been waiting for this one!
When will you do the rest of the brotherhood? I wanna know how you’d cast for Sabretooth, Toad, Pyro, Destiny, Blob, Callisto, ETC.
You always find ways to surprise me with these fantastic ideas! I've been saving McConaughey for Norman Osborne, but he's so charismatic that if he, as Stryker, made a speech like the one you highlighted, I'd have to consider his words for at least a little bit.
I think Stryker would be the perfect role for Leonardo DiCaprio. His role in Django was basically Stryker.
Yvonne Strahovski is also a really good bet for Emma. Her character in Mass Effect is the same core pitch as Emma anyways.
Perfect
Coming back 2 years later, your Juggernaut casting is still incredible and perfect. It better happen
In the comics, they actually have Magneto to be able to slow his aging. So, it can definitely work.
