    I rented one of these from Hertz this week (from Denver airport for a ski trip). I've rented dozens of vehicles over the years and this may be the best I've ever driven. It handles extremely well and has lots of pick up. The driver's seat is one of the most comfortable I've experienced. I'm using the Titanium model. It's so good I might buy one sometime in the future.

    We love our 2022 Ford Titanium. Have had it since last March. Really wanted a Telluride, but was NOT going to pay the stupid markups they were asking. Actually got a deal -- $3500 off of MSRP, and then got another $1K off, since I bought it "New", per the paperwork, but then realized that the dealer had "loaned" it to a customer to drive, while her Bronco was being repaired. Sales did not know, and "odometer form" said 5 miles, not the actual 700 miles. They mailed me a check. An awesome vehicle. Only issue we have, is waiting for an APIM to resolve the Bluetooth connectivity that drops every now and then. Since Ford has been waiting for the part, the dealer has been supplying me with loaners, and Ford has rebated one of my payments. We have it back now, and it is still amazing. BUY ONE !!!

    The Edge is a pretty decent vehicle. I have the 2010 SEL, 3.5 duratec. Keeping the coolant changed solves the poor water pump inside timing chain housing design issue. Do Not buy the ecoboost. It is not a good engine, it will fail. small cylinder engine with poor cooling port design shall result in coolant intrusion, added high pressures of GDI and turbo is a guarantee. If you already have one... baby it, or sell it. In this current used car market you will be surprised what people will pay.

    • @chelsea7xhf
      @chelsea7xhf 2 роки тому +1

      Ecoboost is not reliable in the early phase, it is understandable because the new technology. Actually now days the ecoboost is good. Almost all major auto makers have adopted the turbo and GDI.

    • @mikeyoung6347
      @mikeyoung6347 2 роки тому +1

      @@chelsea7xhf You can't change physics with technology. High pressures in a small cylinder will fail. there is no longevity. cams, bearings, seals gaskets and the crank will wear prematurely and fail. It was developed for higher mileage, and that's why more are doing it. It's not because its good....because it isn't. The mileage tests are a joke. a random test done on a dyno. Real life driving is totally different and high mileage claims are out the window. You're left with a failing engine and a monthly payment.

      I'm thinking it's probably because this is their "off road" version. And that it may have something too do with increased ground clearance. Though i think this is just an "aesthetics package". As i don't see any protective under cladding as most off road oriented vehicles have.

    I recently traded in a 2016 titanium fwd edge for a 2022 sel edge awd and my initial impressions are two. The car seems peppier has more acceleration, that may be a transmission upgrade thing. The other thing is loss of MPG. From 29 to 26, so far in the same driving I did with the 2016. Don't know if that is due to the all wheel drive drag or maybe another transmission thing?

      2025 will be the last year model for the Edge. Just traded my 2007 SEL 1st Gen with 170k miles for a 2018 Titanium. It was a big step up. Still learning all its features. Hate to see Ford discontinue the Edge only because they are focusing on EV. Only when AF 1 flies on battery power will I even consider an EV. It won't happen in my life time.

      Not everyone needs a 7 seat vehicle, the Edge base model is more expensive because its more loaded, looks are subjective, the Edge ST is plenty capable and the Edge doesnt have all the problems most every Explorer has. How many models of Explorers have been recalled? Ive lost count. They are garbage,.
