- This is the second video on the Apple Macintosh IIci from 1989.
In this video, the Macintosh IIci from 1989 will be started up to demonstrate the Macintosh System 7.0.1.
The games "Glider", and "Brickles" will also be demonstrated. - Наука та технологія
love that you chose Glider. forgot how cool the soundtrack and sound fx were.
WOW!... IIci was my favourite mac back then. Forgot all about soft restart; brilliant
Awesome that you threw in Glider! I used to play Glider PRO all the time on my friend's old Mac. So simple, but one of my favorite games still today
I just found one of these at the dump and it actually works :D!
Cool video. I watch regularly your videos, the first one covering all Macintosh on YT.
Any plan on releasing new video?
wow, you have an old Precision Color Pro 24x, that was one of the best Nubus video cards you could get on an old Mac back then (till Supermach out did them with the Thunder II series, which then Radius bought Supermach and make the Thunder IV series Nubus cards that are truly the pentacle of accelerated graphics cards for pre-PCI macs).
On the PC side, a lot of people ran into the same speed issues at the same time as 386 and 486 chips started to appear.
Do you think you could set up some kind of archive of all the Macintosh programs you have? Many of them I can't find anywhere.
Nice apple :)
Thanks 🤗
Isn't it a little weird that the Apple IIci startup sound used to be a stock computer sound in 90's video games?
I don't hear it. That's just a standard Macintosh startup chord.
Just installed System 7.1 on my IIci, and I am surprised how sluggish it is. From what I can tell, 7.0.1 is comparatively snappy - is that truly the case?
Haha! Using the glider to play guitar! Might just be the precursor to GarageBand! LOL! ;)
