Incredible. You took a cub that wasn't worth recycling and made it a piece of art once again. It takes a special person to believe in somethings potential and put in the time money and effort to make it great again. thank you
Finally a real restoration video. Fed up of all the fake ones that get posted that have had mud thrown at them and made to look old and broken. Good job with this one
Those fakes ones are so obviously....fake! The funniest one ive seen was a "rusty" plastic Xbox that the guy "found" next a river, he dunked it in some soapy water gave the electronics and optical drive laser a good scrub, blasted some paint on the case and VOILA! it was "restored" and looking like a brand new one.🤣🤣🤣
Amazing work. Hey you should get familiar with metal baths to restore the metal parts like silver/yellow zinc baths nickel baths and stuff the results are as incredible as your work is and it is super easy to do it. I mentioned that because you sprayed the hubs and that is one of the parts that i appreciate the most, it would take your work from an amazing 5 star restoration to a resto worth of a museum piece. It just ads that true factory impact to it. I appreciate your work brother and the music bits choice and time lapse makes it really enjoyable to watch it. I still can't believe you did it all with a mask on, what a legend.
Loving that you are showing more of the restorative process, remaking threads, milling the piston chamber, etc, its great! I wondered if that carburetor was really salvageable. Phenomenal work as usual LWC!
In the early 1980's Jr. High school days my best friend bought a used Honda Cub 70 and i had a 50cc Puch moped. Amazing how much fun we had with the freedom of cruising around, time goes by so fast...
Painting a reassembled carburettor so the adjusting screws are essentially locked in? No measurements of parts to check they are within spec? This guy has a lot to learn.
That bike was at a point where most would melt it down for the metal. But you performed some real revivification. I wish more people would repair and restore instead of just tossing it out because one thing was broken...
Very nice job done!.. Bringing back memorys from 55 years ago when I drive one like that.. It was a 49 cc, but with a 90 cc engine killing the competition with their kreidlers and zundapps.. Watching this makes me young again, thank you !!
Great to watch and inspiring skills. This was a labour of love given the time and the amount of new items used this was almost a new bike. Probably better finish than from the factory and certainly well put together.
I had my first motorcycle ride on one of these. Still have the bug 60 years later. Beautiful restoration and remember, “You meet the nicest people on a Honda”.
G'day Phantom man.! you are a genius my friend. Panel beater/fabricator, machinist, spray painter, motor bike mechanic, etc. If you didn't see this restoration with your own eyes, you wouldn't believe it possible. Well done..!!
Never powder coat an engine. Powder coating is an environmentally friendly, cost-effective alternative to painting metal objects. Powder coatings are incredibly tough and long-lasting, providing years of protection from weather and wear. However, when an object that requires heat transfer to function properly, such as a heat sync or auto part, is powder coated, it may affect the item's overall performance.
Let me know one thing: the unique reason for you don't show your face off is to cause curiosity in other persons and get more likes for that. Is that right?
@@topdawg6850 You're right about two things: the huge importance about someone's goodlooking and about me being gay. But the bottom line here is...why keep hiding face?

Absolutely beautiful top quality work! Wish I could give you my '90 Honda Prelude to restore. It was and still is the very best car that's ever been manufactured and shipped from Japan. I can only imagine what it would be like brand new. I love that car more than life itself 😍You're video production is just as impressive as the actual restoration. Very enjoyable 11/10
Not only a beautiful, detailed restoration, but wonderfully filmed and presented too. All credit to you for this gem.

This is not a restoration....Its a ressurection!! wow!!!!!! amazing patience and hard work here!!
🇯🇵 Thank you for reviving the motorcycle that Japan is proud of.I would like to express my gratitude on behalf of Soichiro Honda.🎉😊

If I had a friend like you I would be the happiest man in the world. You are a genius!
Not really, He doesnt know a lot. Powder coating an engine barrel jkeeps the heat in where it needs to be disipated. Not a clever move.

Lovely work. A tip, beware of cheap 'brass' wire brushes. They're actually hard coated steel and NOT soft brass. Test them with a magnet to be sure.
