Sending you lots of love to take care of yourself, especially given the grave and reprehensible events of this week. May you find a moment of peace so you can continue to act intentionally to help others, however you can, during this time.
This was a wonderful practice Caren! Thank you so much this class. So glad to have found your channel. Subscribed and am looking forward to trying more of your classes.
Glad this helped! Feel free to add your own background music. I don’t add it into practices because I find that being in silence is an important part of connecting to oneself in yoga.
Thanks for this video! The only thing I had trouble with was the long pauses to hold the pose. The length was great! I just kept getting into my head about whether the video turned off because there was no sound at all for a few minutes. I would've been able to relax deeper if I knew you were there somehow
You noticed a great thing - that impulse of the mind to keep checking externally in order to keep us safe so that we can relax. Whether practicing with a video or in person, this is a normal tendency we all have. Over time and practice, we can calm that natural part of our mind, and trust that we are safe in situations where we truly are. All this to say: totally normal, this is part of the practice, and over time it may feel more natural to let that part of the mind go. I hope that helps. Silence is incredibly nourishing to the brain and we don't get enough of it, but at first it can feel like too much. 🙏🏻
Thank you so much for the practice! Restorative yoga is about the only way I can rest. I used not to be able to sleep before I learned of the yoga existence. My posture could use a lot of work too and the way you arrange the props ease the pain in my shoulders a lot!
Thank you Caren! I could stay in the final pose for hours, soooo relaxing. Also, some of the things you said about listening to ourselves & not trying to fix others or a situation were exactly the words I needed to hear today. 💙Thanks
My body has been in a stress loop for months now, and this really helps me to get a moment of reprieve. Hoping to work my way into a more rested state of being. Just bring. Thank you for your energy. 💜
Wondering if you felt those sensations in a particular position? Sometimes this can point to postural imbalances. Nice to hear the breath helped move it through. 🙏🏻
@@carenhope Thank you Caren. It's my time of the month so I felt stressed and hard to relax when I started the session. The right side of my back tensed up when I was in the supine position on the bolster. All I could do was breathe deeply. I use my right hand to write and control the mouse frequently. So definitely there're postural imbalances. Will keep up with practice every night.

Thank you :) Have a beautiful weekend
Same to you, Olga. 🙏🏻
Thank you
Thank for this!!! I am an HSP….practice yoga daily. Would have enjoyed it more if there was just a little background zen music.

@@carenhope I never thought of that perspective. Thanks for responding!
❤😊❤
is this only for women?
I mean, no. Restorative yoga is great for anyone, but this sequence was designed with female identifying bodies in mind.

Love it :). Lots of sensations on the right side of my back. Breathed deeply and pain relieved towards the end.
