Pro tip. If you need to clean the cooler take it to a radiator shop. They will boil it out and pressure test it.

Great video as always, I've used your's for some things that I have done to my 07 6.7 that I still have and drive daily, except for the last month when it decided to go into 4th gear limpmode. So we tracked it down to a bad TCM and a bad Plug. Plug is changed now waiting on the new TCM. I just can't believe they would want you to pay for shipping back that blown turbo. But like you said life goes on and I've cut my losses on my share of stuff. Glad to see you posting again, waiting on the next one. Keep it up, and your garage looks like mine ! 😂😅

Good work buddy, I did learn something from this video. My 2016 has an aftermarket bumper an for whatever reason I didn’t get the front air valance, put back on after the bumper swap, and I really didn’t know what it look like until I saw it on yours, so yeah, good job buddy. We all learn something everyday haha. Yea man that was my first time doing the intercooler on a 4th gen 13-18 so figured it would help someone! I don't think the valence is do or die but I'm sure it has some sort of purpose

Been subscribing and watching your videos since the begining brother. I know you will like it better powder coated so just do it now lol. Also man you could still run that smeding turbo as a compound setup with your 2nd gen swap. And i know how much you miss the compounds you had on the 3rd gen. I seen the look you had whwn you sold it, so you are gonna want to do it to the 4th gen. I will be waiting for all the follow up videos on this build brother. Im excited for ya. Good content, I’m surprised that you haven’t done the grid heater delete yet but no better time than now while you have it apart this far. I did the grid heater delete on my 2017 Ram when I first got it I installed the
Banks Gen2 grid heater delete kit when I first started the engine knew right away that it will run better, can hear the turbo spooling which is
music to my ears lol
Also i have been a truck mechanic for 30 plus years and I have only seen 1 turbo grenade and what a mess lol
So I agree with you on what needs to be done before reassembly starts but looking forward to seeing the truck when it’s finished 👍🏻

Grid heater delete is a good mod for sure. I haven't met anyone who experienced the nut dropping into the cylinder but I'm sure it has happened. Only reason I have done it sooner was cause I not reason to take it off until now lmao. Happy belated bday man!! You got a good bday date haha 💯🙌🏾🙌🏾

definitely powder coat, maybe stick with a polished billet valve cover, that combo looks sick imo

On my 4th gen , when I did the banks monster ram. The fuel lines were way way over torqued. It was a battle getting them off.

@EVERYTHANGDIESEL banks instructions said 40 foot lbs. I swear they were well over 100 plus. I didn't even remove #6 I just slightly flexed up the fuel rail. Saved some grief

I'd personally swap the intake horn out for a banks one. If you're going to keep it, I vote to powder coat it.

@EVERYTHANGDIESEL The reason I chose banks was because I live in Canada and I wanted to keep the heater. -40 here quite often. Had mine done illusion orange to match my rpi diesel cold air intake. Plus, it's banks... Can't go wrong getting parts from them.

@jsav5845 pusher will also add a bung or 2 on there intake manifolds if requested. I have a single dih4 heater on my pusher horn in northern Alberta, works flawless
