Brother - I am SO jealous!!!!! We were just down in Ft Lauderdale, actually Deerfield Beach, stayed at the Wyndham right by the pier and absolutely loved it! We were going to Ft Myers again but decided not to since they're still rebuilding. We hired "Perfect Timing," boat tours in Deerfiled to drive us around in the Intercoastal and out to the ocean. It's just amazing, everything in southern Florida - I just don't have the words for it. All I know is we need to move!!! Great video!
Thanks so much my bro! South Florida is definitely something else! The waterfront there never ceases to amaze in multiple ways. Glad you guys got to get a taste of it out on the water. Thanks so much for watching and for the support
I hope your vacation home did okay last summer. Wow, that’s really awesome! That is quite the trip to do each year. Hopefully in the next couple of years I will cruise up that way for a summer
Ahhhh... Capt., that would be way cool and nerve racking at the same time. those twin Cats burn a lot of fuel, wow. Awesome, can't wait for part two. Thanks as always for sharing what it's like to live... the boat life.
Nice video, nice Hatteras. My house overlooks the Crossroads in Stuart -- an amazing parade of yachts wanders by every day. Sailor's Return attracts a lot of Kadey Krogens, but I also saw a Nordhavn, a few Flemings, Marlows, Defever and others in the video.
Thank you John! Wow, you definitely have quite the scene to observe out there, never a dull moment on the weekends. Sailor’s Return should be called Trawlers Return! Really appreciate the participation
We were at Sunset Marina for a Kady Krogen event, when we saw our first DeFever 44, and fell in love with it!. We have had ours for 4 years now, and will be heading south towards Florida with it this fall. Maybe we will see you in St Pete!
Good job on the video . I did the okachobe crossing once when I helped to bring a yacht from mobile to Boca . Great trip and was suprized to see how pastoral that part of Florida was. Cheers
Thanks Roger! Nice, that’s a good little trip coming from Mobile. The route definitely takes you through some areas that you never knew existed. Thanks for watching!
Excellent video This is the first one I have seen from you and it's great I am an avid boater have been all my life love the defever 44 know them well when I was a kid we had a 43 gulfster I have always been a fan of Bertram and Hatteras never owned a Hatteras though but five Bertram's. I always find it interesting to learn what people do for a living to have such nice boats. I did it all in real estate
Wow, thanks so much! That means a lot coming from someone with the experience you have. It’s hard not to love the DeFever 44. I am also a fan of Gulfstar, and had some experience on a 53. And of course it’s hard not to love Bertram. Thanks so much for joining in. Oh, and the owners of this Hatteras are retired doctors.
Very well done video! Your narration was spot on. Really enjoyed watching this. However, it looked like a trawler riot in Stewart, Fair winds from Doug on WS42 Harmony
@@AquaCultured looking at some DeFevers and OA's and maybe a GB in FL to go after as soon as I sell my house in CO. Mark P will be my broker and maybe we'll be neighbors before I head north doing half the Loop to get back to the great lakes to spend summers in MI. Gonna need some captain training lol
@@Drewniversal how about that, that’s awesome! You will be in good hands with Mark! I may be able to be of some assistance when the time comes. Looking forward to seeing what you end up with
@@AquaCultured Thank you I appreciate the info, hopefully I will see ya on the water some day, until then it’s fun and nostalgic to follow along on your waterway adventures.
It never failed by my amazment at how many people are wealthy enough to afford ownership of things like these boats. The cost of a aller 40-60 year old boat is massive.....80 gallons an hour, woah
There are pros and cons for Diesel vs Gas. For boats of this size, diesel is the way to go for many reasons. And these are 1500hp diesel engines so they are not going to be whisper quiet
@StageMan, well then you'll never have a boat like that. You cannot run gas engines for a boat that size. Of course, never mind the safety aspect of diesel vs gas.
The owner is blessed to have this beautiful yacht.
Awesome! Can’t believe I missed this one. Now on to the new video.😂
Yeah buddy! Appreciate you!

12:20 Thank you! You were right indeed. This Texan loved hearing those Cats spool-up!
That is a veritible smorgasboard of trawlers there on those docks. Hard to choose a favorite from that menu lol. Great video my friend.
Seriously it is mind blowing, definitely a trawler candy store over there!
I have a vacation home in Fort Myers. Love the video, My Mom used to take her Albion 44' trawler from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Sarasota every winter.

Fabulous. I've always wanted to do the route across the state.
Great model Hatteras. Did not know the fuel burn was that high at cruising.
Looking forward to the next leg of your trip.
Thanks very much Doug!
Love this model of Hatteras. Looking forward to the next episode.
It is an awesome vessel! Thanks for coming along!

Nice shot of Mar-A-Lago 👍
It’s certainly a sight to see!

Beautiful yacht, congratulations to the new owners!🎉
Definitely a pretty sweet vessel, they are quite excited

Thanks for sharing 👌
My pleasure! Thanks for tuning in!
Wow.. Amazing
🙌 thanks for watching!
How did you like Sailors Return and or downtown Stuart? My neighborhood 👍 nice vessel Captain
Had almost too much fun at Sailors Return! I definitely enjoy your neighborhood, need to spend more time there!
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Amaizng video buddy
Thank you brother!
I've always wondered what impact those sea keepers have on the boat..
I will be doing a review on that in the future!
Kadys, Flemings, Nordhavns and Selenes and De Fevers EVERYWHERE!
Good eye Drew! Definitely a kid in a trawler candy store. Thanks for watching and participating!

Hi new to the channel and to Florida, can you please let me know when you filmed this. I’m trying to get a handle on the different weather.
Welcome aboard! I filmed it mid November

is the okeechobee locks free or gotta pay to go through them?
It is free to transit through the locks. Pretty nice perk!
I want to know how to get one of the wrecked boats
I am sure there are opportunities. Not sure exactly how to go about it other than checking with marine salvage companies down that way
Im not sure if it would be possible ɔn a 133 foot superyacht.
What happened o Amari?
Amira will likely be making an appearance in one of the upcoming videos 😉
Where is the next vid
Thanks for checking in Sean, working on the video as we speak! Should be posted by the end of the week hopefully sooner
I'd never own a diesel anything. That's why it's a noisy boat!

Nordhaven. But I love the new 77 ft Bering
Oh yeah! Love the Bering as well, I could see myself in one 😁
