Great tour and I love it. Great details added in at the end. Thank you for having the clearance, draft and beam. I've seen some that miss that; if you can believe it.
Gorgeous boat and great walk through. As much of a hassle as lack of easy exterior passage up the side decks likely is, the gain in salon width is astonishing. Would love this boat.
Thank you so much for sharing this awesome boat with us. It's a truly beautiful boat or home on the water with a different front yard every time you pull anchor and drop it or tie up at the new place you want to visit. That is why people buy boats and yachts so they can go see new places. May i suggest one very important thing to everyone who's about ready to go live their dreams and purchase or lease a boat. Get yourself a big thick paper map and draw out all the places you travel to, an mark the date and important things in a notebook to keep with the map. This way when you and your spouse are older you can easily show your family all the wonderful places and tell them about the people you got to meet all because you took the chance and went to live your dreams on your own floating house and never regretted it. Because we only live together once they say. I don't think that's correct, because i believe true love is like a really strong magnet and pulls the two people together if they are true soulmates. We are connected by an invisible force like gravity. We can't see it but knows it's there working. Share the Love and remember, Love is like glue that holds everything together in our Universe. Great video! A very thorough walk-through. (I had to laugh at the final drone flyover where I watched the bilge pump suck the water back up! ;)) If I could suggest anything, it would be to spend more time opening the various hatches to access the mechanical systems. I'd like to have seen the floor in the main salon pulled up to see what engine access looks like from there. (I suspect that would be the "normal" method of performing maintenance - 'cause this old guy isn't crawling in on his hands and knees.)
Lol. Yes I don't think that port light does justice when describing those big beautiful windows. I really like how the main salon is designed with all those big windows. One of the few things that I would want to change is to have a bit better walkways that run along both the starboard and port sides. They wouldn't have to be the entire length of each side, just enough so that that you can safely walk along each side. They could even be something that flips out of the way. In rough seas of course you make them a no go zone if you don't want to lose one of your deckhands.
Nice boat with plenty of performance for a trawler ,the salon is nice and large but at the expense of being able to walk outside bow to stern while docking. The second state room is a nice feature but the cramped engine room make this boat excellent for a younger family with plenty of flexibility to get in the tighter spaces.
Thank you for giving the listing price. That is one of my complaints watching videos of tours. I’m just starting to get an idea of what’s out there. What could I afford. After traveling some 10k miles on the ocean I’d be concerned about over head grab rails very important while underway it’s a clean boat but crawling into that engine room underway could be problematic it’s a nice coastal boat but Selene beats this hands down
Well it is very comparable to a Nordhaven 43 from afar - priced at only about half to a third of what an N43 would cost- so I can see the appeal. Personally though it wouldn’t work for me for two deal breaker reasons: 1) the fact that there is no side access without going through the main cabins - this will make short handed docking a challenge if anything goes wrong. 2) and more importantly, you need to be a spelunker to access the engines -no way I can get there and not be claustrophobic- this will really be a problem for any major maintenance and will make routine checks a nightmare. Less money than a Nordhaven for sure, but that extra $$ gets you a real bluewater boat with doors and hatches that are water tight and windows that will stand up to big water. But for the money, these are great boats, even with the limited side deck access and short engine room with the sole panels in place. And William Smith is spot on in his comment above. no way you get through Chicago on the loop at 23ft air draft. I looked at the mast and there's no hinge. If you can install one on such a substantial mast, you should be able to make it. But my main issue with this post is that the narrator failed to emphasize the main feature of this particular boat. It appears to be in outstanding shape for a 23 year old boat. The floors and walls are stunning, and at less than 2350 hours, the engines are just hitting their stride. I didn't see this boat in person like Mcnaught Americas did, but I think it will go closer to the asking price.
Unless you have a serious aversion to it,a retrofit for the engine room doesn't appear to be overly difficult. It might might not be 100% as good as if it was already done when this floating home was manufactured but at my first look I didn't see anything that would completely rule out doing a retrofit to create some more overhead space to make maintenance considerably easier. I would want the blueprints before attempting anything of course. A friend of mine had a similar issue with his live aboard and was able to do a retrofit job with relative ease.
@@richardwestmoreland4796 interesting- I never considered that - makes sense now that you mention it - will need to look into what would need to be done to make the engine room accessible

@@richardwestmoreland4796 The Video itself was good. So you have a good idea about the square footage of the boat. So let the rest of us know. You did not include that in your commint I see.
This one is a mixed nag. Why its well maintained there are some things not to like. A shared shower, no eating or table place on the flybridge or aft deck, crawling into an engine room while at sea is no fun, having to get to aft lines quickly will require you to go through the living quarter every time. The pilot house door sills/coamings are non existent and would not keep water out during high seas. The size of the fuel tanks makes range limited. You couldn't go from San Diego to Hawaii. Not sure what the price is but I'm sure it is much less than a Bering. UpdateL Saw it is $360k or half the price of a Bering. Coastal cruiser on a budget would be the market for this.
I have listened and watched alot of boat tours and it seems to me you were much more of a salesman than a tour guide. Also what is that constant droaning hum in evry cabin , that would get to me in just a few hours requiring Bose ear protectors with quiet technology or a new gen set.
Never heard of a mast referred to as an "instrument tower". You are doing a good job but i recommend you spend more time describing the pilot house controls, fuel and water capacity. Watch a few other guys and pick up some pointers. Keep at it, i know you will do well.
Love this boat! _but_ it's so small it doesn't need that head in the master bdrm. I would do away with the toilet and sink and turn it into a larger shower and do away with the tiny shower in the common head. I really dislike tiny showers, they make me feel claustrophobic and are hard to use.
The design is not so clean or uncluttered as that on a Grand Banks or Nordhavn. The galley seemed a bit dated, but could be easily upgraded. The television being placed where it is seemed to take space away in the galley area when the separate area to the left that could be used for that. The use of space did seem a bit hit and miss which is a shame. There’s bits to like but overall it could be a better boat, it appears to be a busy boat and trying to do too much with the result being corners are cut. The Portuguese Bridge was ok but why no door? I don’t think I would want to spend more than a few days on this before it drove me mad. Sadly someone has tried to be clever and this boat is the result, it doesn’t excel at anything and will leave you with more questions than answers. The Baby Nordhavn 41 would be a better choice in my view and it would cross the Atlantic. Another alternative would be a Grand Banks 41/43 Heritage Europa, not an exploration vessel but well designed and thought out across all areas. It makes me wonder why folk settle for just average.
Nothing annoys me more than someone posting a boat on UA-cam and not disclosing the price, only after reading the comments did I find out it’s 360 K which for a 24-year-old vessel with only 38 feet in my opinion is way overpriced !
Nothing annoys me more than entitled people who lack the common sense to read a video description(where the price was clearly stated) before watching the entire thing and then blame others for what little sense they are clearly lacking.
I really get a kick out of those that feel everyone should have a comprehensive understanding of all the vernacular that those who take to the seas use. You might get labelled as a landlubber when you call a "rain locker" a shower but I've been called much worse. I personally could not care less if anyone hasn't passed this imaginary test of what type of language to use when onboard a vessel any larger than a dinghy and for some probably any larger than an inner tube.....lol. I have unfortunately been onboard a vessel when the so called captain didn't know shit from Shinola about operating said vessel yet he sure talked a nice game. As long as people are taking to the waters wherever that might be there will be those who might never know much of the vernacular that goes with it. I guess surprising to some those that don't speak the language are just lucky that they haven't gone to Davey Jones locker because it. I'm 66 years of age and somehow I have managed to keep my head above water(no pun intended) with just a rudimentary understanding of a sailors vernacular. Probably just luck.....lol.
Man! You missed so much! No demo on how the dining table upfolds to double the table top space. Not a comment on the gauges or what they do above the cockpit. No horsepower rating, cruise speed, diesel tanks capacities. Guess I won't be back.
I'm of the opposite opinion. No walk around gunnel is definitely a design flaw but I am already scheming a retrofit to alleviate that issue. Where there is a will, there is a way. I love the spacious feel that the main salon in particular has.
Yet to watch the vid so am jumping the gun a bit but WHY Oh WHY dont the yacht UA-camrs start with telling us what the boat is made of, seriously. One of the most important bits of information totaly ignored, so often. Although we are told that the boat feels very "boaty", very important of course.
I recall Tula's boat was built in the 1970's. From looking at the videos the kids did a great job of turning a $100 boat into a nice cruiser, and I think the broker thought they could get over $100k but they wanted to conclude a sale quickly so they could move forward with the new catamaran.
I don’t see how anyone with a two person crew could do the loop or dock this boat safely and easily. You have the pilot and another person running thru the salon back and forth just to get it tied up.
Trawler yachts are just so practical. If I owned one, it would just be my house.

You sure do whine a lot.
Budget….
@@genesishep LOL 😂that's the first thing I did, look at the description.... Wow. Some people's children!
Wait until the economy crashes and do a low-ball offer.
You wouldn’t say that if the boat was called “monkey business!”
For future reference, a shower on a boat is called the “Rain Locker”…
Defecation Occurs. Retired Merchant Marine here. Been married 40 yrs because I’ve been underway for 20 of them.
I own a 2 story 3bdrm home and I don't even use 1/2 the house.. Just me & 2 dogs
Nice haircut
Portuguese bridge?
the wall in front of the pilot house. It's usually supposed to go all the way across, sometimes with a swinging door in the center.
Price please?
It says $360,000 in the description.
Too tall for a loop. Does that mast fold down?
❤❤❤
Previous owners must have had their dog(s) aboard or little kids All the safety netting.
My taste exceeds my bank account.
Man! You missed so much! No demo on how the dining table upfolds to double the table top space. Not a comment on the gauges or what they do above the cockpit. No horsepower rating, cruise speed, diesel tanks capacities. Guess I won't be back.
Just FYI this boat is too tall for the loop. Max is 19'-3" or so . Beautiful boat. Thanks!
Ohh 0:48 youd like the monkeyville
I think it's like 100k? Obo
"Good access" LMAO
The engine room is way too tight to work around 😢
What sort of engine room space are you looking for? What sub 50ft boat meets this requirement?
This engine room has above average space.
Spacious inside yes, but to sacrifice walk around gunnel NO THANKS.
NICE!!!! TULA'S ENDLESS SUMMER SOLD A SIMILAIR TRAWLER FOR $89,000.00 THOUGH!!!!!!!!
Agreed. It's design does leave one wanting for more room along both the portside and starboard side to get back and forth.
She’s a pretty old gal for 360k, especially no sir walks !
Side
Should have said, "You got mirrors on the ceiling....and pink champagne on ice."
You're mistaking this vessel for the one that is similar and christened as the Hotel California. Captain Don Henley at the helm.
