This thing looks a lot better that any latest Ferrari designs! 🏎️ I haven’t seen so well shaped supercar or hypercars for a long time! Well done China! This is the most interesting car of this exhibition! Will, Thank you for making this interesting contend (as always) on this jewel! 🙏🙏🙏 It’s shame I returned from China a week ago, couldn’t witness this myself😢😢😢
The US car market needs a shakeup. We’ve been getting the same old tired brands and models for decades with small iterations in design and technology but with huge price increases each generation.
The current supercar manufacturers don't seem to understand that the number 1 reason we like these cars is simply the way it looks. Lamborghini, Ferrari and even Pagani have all lost their looks, but this is the best looking car I've seen since the Zonda.
Looks 100x better than the monstrosity the F80 came out to be. Never could I have imagined that a random Chinese car company would come up with a more beautiful design than the flagship Ferrari.
I have never thought Chinese EVs will get into supercars-hypercars. But no, it just happened. Yangwang U9, Xiaomi SU7, and this! European racing brands dragging their feet into electrification. It will be over by the time come out with an EV supercar/hypercar
It's true, although of the Chinese brands Geely does go racing, being very successful in the TCR World Tour. But to truly up the ante they need win some more higher profile races. As for history, well that literally takes time! But it's promising that they've gone from rubbish little city EV tin boxes to striving to high performance EVs with more style
@@ChinaDrivenGeely goes racing with ICE cars. And TCR is a dying series in terms of popularity. Chinese makers should go for WEC or Formula 1 as a works team instead, maybe people outside of China woukd want to buy cars from these brands if they have at least a LeMans win or a F1 constructors title to their name.
For SUPER FAST EV ... Battery Discharge , Motor speed , Power Management and Suspension are required for HYPER PERFORMANCE. So far .... NONE of the LEGACY HYPERCAR manufacturers have any thing that can challenge BYD, Xiaomi or Xpeng.
This is going to be hand-built, fully customisable to the the buyer. So I thin the price will be extreme. And they'll take their little expensive toys and shove them in a place and never drive them
Great review! Wish they'd share the target pricing? I'd guess 550-650k+ if not over a million US. Imo China's most impressive ev 2drs are the killer little ssc sc01 and the gac hyptec ssr!
It's not a mock up, it's fully drivable Edit: sorry it's not known if it is fully drivable. There were discussions around it being able to be turned on, but how drivable this is I do not know. It's fair to call it a prototype model.
Sorry my mistake, discussion at the auto show with the team said it could be turned on and it is loud, but they didn't specify how functional the drivetrain actually is. I guess you can call it a mock up. And yes valkyrie & RB 17 vibes all over this.
@@ChinaDriven There are several clues visible upon careful observation, which pretty much had me suspecting and basically giving away, that this was in fact a non-functional design showcase shell. Anyways, I appreciate your earnest straightforward response.
Conversations I had lead me to believe it at least moves under it's own steam...but thinking about it now, it's unlikely there is a solid state battery already inside. However I believe the cooling system is working, since they said they originally wanted to turn it on, but were denied by the organisers "because it is too loud"
Well I’m not sure that will happen. the first Chinese developed V12 was Hongqi’s V12TD and that was only last year…so not really much V12 options floating around
I will say this about Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc. They will sell off the name themselves and people know what they are. With that said, once they go all electric, it will be hard to truely differentiate themselves outside of that! I also think the hyper car naming may go away! We will be back to just sports cars and Super cars!
It’s not claiming the first with ADAS. It’s claim the first hyper or supercar using big model AI for ADAS and Autonomous racing. Could have made that clearer. And I’m pretty sure Rimac doesn’t have the same AI access and level of AI as Baidu.
What most people don't know is that all the Chinese Car are designed mostly by _European Car Designers_ that see a potential big paycheck designing cars for the Chinese Car Industry. This is why all these Chineses car have all the looks of a European Design, cause it meant to be sold primarily to the European market. I love the logo design tho.
It's sad to see someone who has the opportunity to buy this, and then store in the garage and never to be driven again for another 20 years. If that's the case, you're not rich enough to buy this in the first place and fix it either.
Name me a chinese V8 or V10...I'll wait. Once you've finished that search kind of answers that question. lol As the Chinese fully embrace EVs, they aren't about to start development on a whole engine architecture they don't currently have! The closest you'll get it the V12DT from Hongqi a v12 turbo which launched in 2023. There is huge tax on large engines. ≤1.5 is no tax. Then 3.0 is the next stop. then 4.0L which is why Ferrari and others went with 3.9L turbos. Then ≤5.0 which almost all modern V10s are. As for sound. They wanted to turn it on for the unveiling. The organisers denied it cos apparently "it's too loud." Exactly what sound and how it makes it we aren't sure. But according to Frank Wu the American designer formerly of Cadillac, the thing is not like other EVs. It's not silent, there are vibrations and sounds from the drivetrain.
What most people don't know is that all these *Chinese Car* are designed mostly by _European Car Designers_ that see a potential big paycheck designing cars for the Chinese Car Industry. Just Google it who’s / are the HEAD CAR DESIGNER for each Chineses Car Company.
I know geely owns/part owns both Lotus and Jiyue...but they look nothing alike. The may share components...but i think you need to go look at the Evija and this again
the fact that this looks better than whatever ferrari is coming out with right now is insane!

Yeah the Jidu Robo-X is something special!
Yeah I think it's DEI to blame for design
The US car market needs a shakeup. We’ve been getting the same old tired brands and models for decades with small iterations in design and technology but with huge price increases each generation.
yup
Now we know why Trump wants to impose tariffs on Chinese products and why Elon was Trump's biggest backer, lol!
The current supercar manufacturers don't seem to understand that the number 1 reason we like these cars is simply the way it looks. Lamborghini, Ferrari and even Pagani have all lost their looks, but this is the best looking car I've seen since the Zonda.
This is the sickest car I've seen in recent memory. Jaw dropping. My condolences to legacy auto.
It looks bloody fantastic. Just looks so special.
China car industry is on another higher level.
indeed
Looks 100x better than the monstrosity the F80 came out to be. Never could I have imagined that a random Chinese car company would come up with a more beautiful design than the flagship Ferrari.
This is what the legacy automakers had as a concept car back in the day. Now, China has turned it into a reality with production models.
This looks absolutely amazing!
Yeah, the design is pretty slick.
This and the YanWang U9 😍😍 omg I would love to see a head to head
Wow! This looks amazing!
I think I know what Will wants for Xmas.😀

There is no chance any Chinese car maker will ever de throne Ferrari or Lamborghini. To be at the top, you need the history behind the brand.
It's true, although of the Chinese brands Geely does go racing, being very successful in the TCR World Tour. But to truly up the ante they need win some more higher profile races.

@@KitKitChanIsaac It's true, just my point was Geely goes racing, where many don't really bother.
In my opinion, that hypercar should be Fuel Cell 💪🏻, but the design is perfect

looks awesome. if price-performance is similar to the other chinese EVs, then this might be a hypercar bargain…

Hope you get to test drive this! 👌
Me too! hahaha
A pretty cool looking car, indeed! Another rich men's toy.
It's true, this is not for your average buyer, but it serves as a halo product that will help them sell more of their other EVs...at least in theory!
Referring to the prices of other Chinese EV hypercar, Robox priced between $200k and $250k USD.
🔥🔥
WHAT if
a Chinese team joins F1
and
wins the championship on the first year!!
will it be another "national security risk"
hahahahaaaa
ahahahahaha
Theres abit of the NIO EP9 in that....
I don't think, not really.
It's a beauty. First thing to do is ditch the electric and put a real engine in it.
I see F80 & AM Valkyrie & RB 17 all over this mock up.
It's not a mock up, it's fully drivable

If this is built be the Geely group, I wonder if this is a modified Lotus Evija.
Afaik it's a completely custom hand built chassis. But it wouldn't surprise me to find out it shares some bits and pieces. Wouldn't be a bad thing!
well if that’s the case I would love to see zeekr version
thaths sick, does the evija also have a solid state battery

Looks like a Pininfarina design...👍
Yeah the styling is pretty good, but it's internal from Frank Wu and his team. He used to work design for Cadillac
GM is so 20th Century...
Republican Capitalism at it's finest.
They should look for better names, Imagine pulling up with a Yangwang or Juidu to a meetup😂😭
A truly gorgeous design! makes the Temerario look oh so dead boring

Rimac Nevera already has self driving, so this wouldn't be a world 1st

4 motors = 1600hp
thaths a gaming pc on wheels, bro said liquid cooled lol
yup custom liquid cooling for the battery system ha
OMG! they literally took car designs from gta5 and used them...
why Chinese cars allergic to a V8 or V10. damn shame that this car got no sound

Ferrari only care about wins le mans trust me 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
tofu dreg car😂😂😂
doubt it. Geely builds Lotus, Volvo and Lynk & Co who have done very well in TCR World Tout championships...
