Glad you enjoy them. I enjoy making them and sharing them with those who can't come to witness it themselves. It's really a shame you don't get to enjoy pretty much all these cars over there.

I am from China and I am dying to see this kind of tour that includes all the cars, without too much prejudice or filter. Just a normal complete tour to show all the cars for us enthusiast. Great job sir, and I really hope to see your tour on bilibili. I wont hesitate to give you the coins🥰
Haha. I didn't know coins was a thing on Bilibili but thank you very much. I'll try to get it on there this week. Not enough hours in the day right now.
Hope you can come to witness it for yourself. You'll be pleasantly surprised even if you watch my channel and have an idea of what to expect. Thank you so much for joining us on the journey.
I don't think that anyone can beat Chinese cars in terms of quality, price, design and once they start offering loans through their banks globally, they will change the world of finance and the environment 4 ever for the better. Good job China. ❤ It would be great if they could display prices at their exhibition's in various currency formats.
Guess it depends on each country because many share the same currency but local taxes would be different. But you're right, they're working to make the world better and we should applaud that. Many countries are making empty promises and China is overdelivering on theirs.
In Portugal, Opel located in Azambuja folded years ago due to labour disputes. And Auto-Europe underwent a wide array of labour problems as well -- V.W. came close to yank the factory out and move it to Central Europe. In 1975 South-Korea produced its First car. A few years later, Hyundai was selling cars in the US, advertising them through a catchy slogan: "Hyundai, 2,999 dollars. Cars that Make Sense". Three years later, their V.6 Sonata model was praised for her quality, Safety and price. In sum, they learned fast. In Europe, the British and Italian Auto-Industry went to the dogs. Fiat is practically bankrupt. And the Famous British brands (MG, Austin, Morris, Triumph, etc, etc) are no more. Actually MG Brand was purchased by a Chinese Factory -- and the chinese-made MGs made a come-back and can be seen all over Europe. The same applying to Volvos. In 20 years, Europe run the Auto-Industry to the ground, .
Yay, I'm about to sell my about to be three year old Taycan for the new U7. I hope Yang Wang would offer more color options for their interior. So emotional, growing up in China that I have never thought one day I would own three Chinese brand vehicles which are not any less better than the German's in my mid 30s. Much love for BYD, Geely, Li-Auto, NIO and many more.
I can only imagine how good it must feel to see just how far things have come in your industry over the last decade. I wish our UK industry could revive itself in a similar way but I just don't see it happening anytime soon.
@@InsideChinaAuto It takes a huge market to carry that to create the variety of novelties that are now available, and I've found that overall Europeans are not very receptive to new things. Relatively conservative.
@@InsideChinaAuto Well, I graduated from UCL for my geopolitics and economics bachelors, stayed in London for 5 years, and unfortunately I see no chance for you country to do so, it just devoted itself too deeply in finance and de-industrialization in the past decades, as it was told to do by the US in American's global order, and I see the Germans are walking towards to the same path. Anyway, thanks for bringing all these great contents.
@jokeychin It's often the new players that are the most hungry. One day, though I don't know where they'll come from, somebody will be more hungry than China. It takes some serious organisation and commitment to achieve what they've achieved though and I just don't think anyone else can get their act together for long enough even if they had the resources to begin with.
30 minutes into the video & I like the quick format you've adopted in this video. I think it would be better if you add to things at the end of every brand Intro 1) Your thoughts about the current state of the brand 2) Chinese market view about the brand.
I'll take a note of that for next time and try to incorporate all the feedback into the Shanghai video. Very much appreciate you sharing it. Hope you enjoy the rest of the video.
@@InsideChinaAuto Well it took me two days to finally watch the whole video. Thanks for the new format, all the details in the bottom helped a lot. Best of luck for Shanghai.
@InsideChinaAuto So, we have Chery with Tiggo 4, 7, and 8, Baic with the X55, Changan with the Hunter, Foday, Riddara with RD6, JMC, JAC, GAC, MG, GWM with Ora, Poer, Haval and Tank, BYD with Dolphin, Atto, Seal and Sealion 7 and Smart. We also have Geely owned Proton and Volvo
There actually used to be a lot more. But now given the state of consolidation among the Chinese automakers, you will likely see fewer brands in the coming years.
@possumsam2189 Actually for most that left, there are new ones that have come in. This year we've maybe lost Yuanhang and Evergrande but gained Maextro Xiaomi and perhaps Juneyao if they ever get off the ground. Plus Lepas is on the way from Chery too.

Never watched a 2 hour long video before ..good stuff cheers mate ... 2 years ago when U built the new house I put in a charge station with the expectation that il get an electric car down the line ... Seen 2/3 brand that appeal to me...ilive subed Ur channel and will follow the progress keep pumping out the content ... Cheers from and Ex Pat in the center of Poland 🙏
Wow, good job mate, and thanks a lot. Glad you enjoyed it enough to stick around. You were smart to put a charger in and you've got some good brands and great products heading your way. Eventually it'll get hard to pick like it is here. Thanks very much for subscribing too. It's great to have you here.
One-third into the vid, will save and finish it for later. Thank you so much for covering the event yet again. Refreshing to get some updates of the local scene. Absolutely love your quick and thorough outlook of each brands/models, this is such a key element for consumers abroad to get an idea of the brand's longevity. E.g. when you point out on Neta struggles. That also reflects on their sales in Indonesia, being hampered by more competitive brands slowly coming in here. A little update from where we left our conversation last time... Just got a call from my dealer that my AION Hyptec HT unit should be ready by this month. Excited. Thank you again for the coverage and keep up the awesome work!
Wow 57 Chinese car brands!!! That's more than the EU, US , Japan and Korea car brands combined. If you're a Chinese car customer there's so many models now it takes more than a month to decide which one to buy.
@@InsideChinaAuto At multiple point in video I wanted to point out why you didn't count as you went to the next Chinese brands?! But yea other than it is still freaking mind boggling and must be even worst for international brand, I guess it make sense why most of them have a join venture with china to cut cost.
@alphaomega1969 I guess you mean brands like Volvo, smart, ID.Unyx. They're all grey areas. Volvo is Geely owned but still governed from Sweden, still many made there, and so I refuse to call them Chinese. smart is 50:50 but I didn't want to put 0.5 on there. ID.Unyx is still a VW in my eyes so also didn't go for that but the case could be made.
Thank you so much for the video! I appreciate you so much, I always wait for your videos when there's an auto show. so clear and detailed. Cheers, and good luck.
We have a Li L9 in the family, and its a really good car for long trips. I think Li makes some of the best looking vehicles in China, excluding the soap bar thingy.
very well explained. very nice Chinese cars. never seen before brands and models. it's like a world auto show. just these models, it's enough to supply world demand. imagine seeing at a big auto show in China. wonder how big the show and how many cars will be seen at China biggest car show.
Shanghai is next up in April. Last year's video was 3.5 hours long. It's a real biggie with a LOT of people. Would you believe not even all the Chinese brands were at this show either.
Oh wow didnt know the Fanchengbao is coming as a Denza! Thanks for the info! Hello from Australia! I think the two different yangwangs U7 is the two different powertrains. The boring looking one is PHEV and the cooler one is BEV?
Yeah, it's pretty much all but confirmed for Oz so I expect you'll see it maybe next year. It's already in other markets as a Denza and we know Denza is next to Australia, they confirmed that to us. I think you're right about U7. I'd take the BEV based on the looks I think.
Thank you very much for the tour sir. I only wished you could show more of each car, and spend more time showing each car. But I do understand the constraints. Tq again
Thank you for your full walkthrough. We saw the Xpeng eVTOL at the Sydney Automobile show 9 days ago, of course the show was nowhere as big as this. We were hoping to be at this show, however, had to postpone our trip until next year. The technology is developing so fast, so many brands in China. Cheers from Australia.
YangWang U7 there is a PHEV and EV version. PHEV version has a slightly longer nose and slightly slimmer (without fan details) headlights. The model with the dish rims is the PHEV model. Other than the nose, both PHEV and EV are identical in design.
Love these in depth walkarounds, would love to visit a Chinese car show one day, so have HiPhi gone completely now then, we did get them at Goodwood couple years ago!
Best one is Shanghai next April so you should consider coming for that if you can. As for HiPhi, they're currently in bankruptcy proceedings which means they have 12 months to sort their stuff out and try to save the company or get bought so there's a little hope but it's fading.
Firstly thank you for taking the time and effort in bringing this video to us. I am curious to get your opinion on the various estate/shooting brake style of cars that you may have seen , which model and brand stood out for you as I think there is a gradual resurgence of interest towards that format of car based on Nio’s models
It does seem that the Chinese are getting into estates a bit now which is great. I think they all look great to be honest, though i don't think the ET5T adds all that much practicality to the original. The Neta S Hunting is a stunning car and does feel more practical as a result, though none of them are really going to give you the space of a V90 or an A6 Avant for example. I'm very much looking forward to the Zeekr 007 Estate, that will be stunning I think, and there may end up being a Lynk & Co one too which would look great. XPeng should do one too but not sure it's on their priority list. Only the ET5T seems to really sell though.
Au usual, a great thanks for your time for displaying extensively this motorshow, which - once again - demonstrate the Chinese high tech, amazing design their car industries offer nowadays. We expect more Chinese brands to com in the European markets and without doubt will highly compete with a damaged market. Some of these brands are absolutely attractive - Zeekr - Dena etc. My remaining favorite one remain Avatr - which won’t be on European market I believe . Nevertheless they know will need to prove dedicated long term service and reliability which because being new have not yet acquired. In any case, again and agin thank you for this reportage.
No problem at all Michel. Indeed, Europe should start to get more of the good stuff from China in the coming months, finally. I hope these brands do a good job of providing the right service when they get there because it'd be a shame to waste such good products by not understanding how to operate in new markets. I too love AVATR's design and I believe they will go to Europe at some point. Their design office is in Munich so it makes sense.
Many thanks. Get that Geely Geome reviewed. It seems to tick all the boxes we hava for an electric car. Wheels pushed to the edges, RWD, independent rear suspenstion, 370 lt trunck, well spaced interior and feeling, 70lt frunk.
👏👏👏👏👏 I'm sure that you were the most informed visitor! Thank you very much for the very complete tour, and it must be really dificult to choose an EV in China these days 😅😅😅😁😁😁
Thanks for the video. The Dongfeng Nammi Box already arrived in Netherlands. We bought the 42kWh Launch edition in whit 2 weeks ago and have over 700km on the odo. Awesome EV. a lot of luxury and high build quality. For me, a disappointing show, 99% Big cars, BIGGER cars and HUMONGOUS cars.
It's honestly hard to say. There have been rumours about FAW buying them and Changan buying them but nothing has materialised and it's really such a difficult space to compete in, especially at the premium end given the push towards lower prices for cars that are about 95% as good. If they came back and were to succeed, they'd need to really offer something next level and try to take higher margins, or they'd need to make their current cars for much less. Bear in mind, a brand that has been on life support for money troubles once gets a kind of stigma which can be hard to shake, particularly given the concern generally for independent electric car makers in China. My recommendations would be to come back with EREVs and EVs, go balls out on luxury, make sure the tech is bulletproof (it wasn't before), stick Huawei's ADAS on there and get a deal to get the best stuff first, and make sure you're owned by a state-owned brand if they have any say over that. That's their best chance at surviving part two. I'd also stick to the futuristic look, basically be a Hongqi for the modern world. All that said, and as much as I want them to make it, my gut feeling says maybe the ship has sailed. I hope I'm wrong.
@@InsideChinaAuto Thank you for the detailed answer! I know here in Norway they went for their own plan to sell cars, instead of going into one of the many dealerships here who can promote and really show it off. They rented a small pop-up store inside a mall in a rather small town 40min from Oslo.. With next to no staff (in the later days it was just a few teenagers in the back room on their phones, who knew nothing about the cars) and no notes on the cars for how much they cost or any specs, just the cars being there in the store-room available for sitting. It was mind-boggling how they expected to sell any cars like this. I talked with the guy who did sales in Europe, and he said they are unsure of how things will go, and if they do get investment if or when they will ever re-enter the european market. He also said they plan on putting the remaining cars here, one Z and two X´s on the auction platform. I´m curious what they end up going for. Probably something similar to the Fisker Oceans dropping from 70k+ to 30k´s here. Though the Z cost 120k here, but with next to no interest due to the terrible business-plan and no marketing im thinking maybe around 25k.
As usual the mix of very interesting new stuff, cool concepts and a dizzying amount of very similar cars with very similar names 😅 I do wonder what brands are just too generic to make it and how the hell the reagular chinese customer decide on what car to take in the tsunami of very much the same shapes and tech. My favorites: Zeekr Mix, Li Auto Mega and that Fulvin concept 4x4 MPV-thing.
Excellent report! You have very good knowledge of the cars you are showing us, unlike other motor show reporters where they have no ideas what they are showing us ,they just keep saying "Very good" or "I like that" to virtually all the cars they see in the show without giving us more stats on them i.e. they didn't do any homework before going to the show. For instance I was watching a report on a motor show a few weeks ago, I think it was the Australia motor show, the report show us the Zeeker 001 FR and I think he has no idea that the car has more than 1200 bhp. Chinese car markers should focus more on Handling. ie how their car drives, because I think this is the very few areas that they are a bit behind the Europeans & Tesla.
Glad you enjoyed it mate. To be honest, it is hard to keep up with all the tech and updates, they're every 6 months in some cases. I remember the first time I covered Guangzhou I think I knew everything and now I'm remembering figures and trying to remember if they're for the right car, so I can understand their struggles. China's isn't a car industry you can cover, it's an industry you have to live.
Parabéns pela ótima cobertura do Auto Show!
The Kia K3, the Buick GL8 and other petrol cheap cars are quite popular in rural areas. I live in a town with 900k pop, but no EV charging network. Lots of Kia and Hyndai cars here.
Interesting. My wife's hometown has a bunch of Kia taxis but they're steadily getting replaced by EV ones. It's also pretty rural there outside of the downtown area but there are charging networks all up into the mountains and the number of EVs grows every time I go back.
Most likely. They have secured some funding from Nanning government which might help, though not sure how much or if it's enough. Thing is, they were affordable and now the whole market has come in their direction and they've got nowhere to go, so they need to improve their cars to meet the new standard at that price point and try to do it profitably.
The LX700h is a 3.4L twin turbo. Anyway, one thing I got from the video is a sense of why there are tariffs on Chinese cars. The legacy brands almost look completely out dated compared to the Chinese. It's incredible to see the difference. It's as if you went into a time machine to 2010 and compared the then Legacy brands vs the Chinese brands of that era. That Ford stand for example...it's just appalling! And the lexus (I'm a total Lexus fanboi) display...so disappointing for me. Considering too the vast majority of the current Lexus models are now pretty much tarted up Toyotas with the exception of the now outdate LS500. Nice cars no doubt and well built. But slow and not nearly worth the asking price imho. May as well just get a Toyota, put up with the road noise and spend the savings on a beastly TV, coach and sound system.
Lexus definitely need to separate themselves more from Toyota, and both need to up their game for China. They're just a mile behind. I believe they can do it, I just don't know if they have the appetite.
@@InsideChinaAuto Yes I couldnt agree more! It's so sad to see! It's as if the accountants took over the brand after the LF-A and created a whole host of rebadged tarted up Toyotas!
0-100KM/hour in 1.9 second - that is insanely fast The look, design, colour scheme and technology of these cars make me drool ... only wishing them they will be in Canada
Indeed, you're right. The front doesn't match. That Song is about five different cars with different faces. The overall car is roughly the same but with a different front end.
A lot of these cars that we never get to see in the Westrn markets are tbh too rich for my tastes , and yet they're way more "affordable" in relation to traditional competitors. We just want honest reliable, affordable, efficient and enjoyable electric cars and mobility in general. Not getting stuck with cynical crap that's advertised to us to believe they're superior. Is that so hard to ask?!
I'm hoping a lot of the smaller models like the AION UT and iCar V23 make it abroad because they're good honest cars. Even the Geely Galaxy EX5 is very good for a crazy low price.
Venucia still exists. I was told they weren't at the show but I did actually spot them in the edit later at the Nissan stand as they're kind of a joint venture, they just didn't get their own spot this time. If you look at the Nissan stand, the first two cars as I enter the stand are Venucias.
Hi Mark, love your review's. One remark, the range of a PHEV depend's on the km/liter AND the size of the fueltank. So the total range itself says nothing.
Hi Dick, glad you enjoy them. The total range is only ever the figure they give, I've never equated it to merely the km per litre. Anyway it's a combination of the battery and the fuel tank in a PHEV and however well the system manages the benefits of the two.
I've been a huge car fan since I was 3, I loved reading Car and Driver cover to cover every month. When Tesla started making waves it made what every other manufacturer was doing extremely boring, now the crazy development in china is starting to make me bored with Tesla.
You and me both, though it was Autocar and Auto Express for me in the UK. Certainly this is one hell of a market to be in if you love seeing new metal.
Hopefully Stellantis sells Chrysler brand and US factories to BYD. Retool them to make cars for American car market. If you can’t beat them - join them! Competition is good for everyone. More choices for consumers and lower prices
to many choices of well made great EV cars with great design, full of tech and fair price too or if I may say way cheaper than any American made cars ... no wonder U.S. blocked them to enter, its tough decision to protect local car industry ...
Indeed. The US just doesn't want their people to freely see for their own eyes the nice things others can have if you don't fund war after war after war.
You can tell why the Western and Japanese brands are losing their market share throughout the world. Maybe some of the joint ventures will cause them to make better cars.
Unbelievable. Great report. Seen it, next one. Just perfect. And guess what. I think I like 85% of the cars. There are great designs amongst them. They look very European. If you compare these to the new BMW's... It's no match. These win.
Glad you enjoyed it Lars. You should come check one show out yourself next year since NL I think gets visa-free entry now for 30 days. Shanghai is the biggie. You'll love it. Might run a guided tour or something for anyone that wants it.
Haha, I can see the resemblance. Man that Thesis was ugly at the front, though funnily enough I saw a resemblance to the rear in the first black Hongqi on the stand, the one with a butt too small for its body.
Seriously, they brought Forthing? You don't mean Voyah do you? I know they have those. Forthing must only be in Eastern Europe if they took that abroad.
What is your opinion on the rebranding of Jaguar ? Hit or miss ? Will it sell in China ? Will Jaguar end up using Chery's (JLR's local partner for China) platforms for new vehicles ?
I'm going to withhold judgement on the rebrand until I see a car because an admittedly curious advert means nothing without a product. That said, I don't like the logo, looks like a milk tea brand. Will it sell in China? Again, totally depends on the non-existent product at the moment but honestly I'm not too enthusiastic about any foreign brands in China, not least one that won't have a car on the market for at least a year. Rebrand or not, they're a legacy brand, and they'll need a very, very good product with great software and technology to crack China from scratch. Land Rover has a better chance because they still have a specialty and a standing but even they're under threat from Yangwang and ROX and so on.
@InsideChinaAuto Thanks for the response. I thought Jaguar maybe would follow Lotus into manufacturing pure EV's although I believe Lotus will add hybrids soon. It's interesting to see Lotus using it's past racing heritage by using the JPS and Camel colour schemes on their EV's.
@@InsideChinaAuto Ha, it always helps if your brand has a good history, maybe some of the magic may rub off 👍 . Let's be honest, no one is ever going to buy a Lotus Eclat these days as a daily driver !!
1:00:53 Has the 6B pollution standard been implemented in China? or what standards are currently required for a manufacturer? what CO2 limitations,...?
The Chinese brands are coming thick and fast. I think the Euros, Japanese and Korean car makers, (and also Telsa), will be getting worried after watching this. It's impossible to compete on price with the Chinese, so they'll need to find another way. In saying this, the Chinese brands need some serious marketing now to make themselves more acceptable to the rest of the world. I saw BYD had sideline advertising at the Euro Cup, and Zeekr at the Diamond League athletics, but I feel this isn't enough to convince the masses. IMO something like the WRC, WEC or Dakar would do wonders for global brand recognition. People want to see actual cars competing with known brands on the same playing field.
Couldn't agree with you more on the sporting side of things. Only Lynk & Co and Xiaomi seem keen on anything like that right now. Thing is, their marketing can only do so much, they've still got to get past anti-China sentiment and misinformation, plus some shoddy Chinese brands going overseas seemingly intent on destroying the reputation of the entire Chinese industry because they can't sell cars to Chinese people.
The rear wheels facing opposite directions was mind challenging. I guess there would be tire scrub until the 4 wheels were tangential to a circle radius a bit over half the wheelbase.
The GEA? That'll be interesting. I know they were looking at SEA for a two-seater like the old one but were struggling to get it down to size without being too heavy and capable of a five-star safety rating.
Well, why consumers in Germany should pay more, a prime reason should be that for many it is the difference between having a job or having none. Regardless of how "cheap" a Chinese car is, if you have no money, it's not cheap enough . You want to buy a Chinese car - well, may be you need to accept an hourly wage like in China: 3 Euros an hour.
@@InsideChinaAuto The question is what is sustainable in the long run, because everything we make, all manufactured items, can be made cheaper in China - and other places with cheap labor. So if it's s good idea with cars, let them make everything else also. I just wonder then, how are we going to fill our paychecks, when everything is gone? They already make a lot, and more and more people are down to part time jobs at minimum wage - if they are lucky. The trade balance is already vastly in favor of China. If they bought as much by us, as we buy by them, it would be alright - but that is far from the case.
@NadNorgaard Sure, but now ask yourself whose fault that is? Everyone in the West, myself included, has been sold out by capitalism and our leaders, because they sent all our work abroad and opened doors for cheaper trade. That's nothing to do with China. You send them orders for stuff, they'll make it, and so will Cambodia and India and Vietnam, and when they do enough of it they'll get much better at it. China in particular has perfected this. And just as we gave them orders for cheap products, we sold our expensive ones to them and we got fat off those profits, or more the company leaders and shareholders did, but we the people didn't. Now they can make expensive things, and they make our phones and laptops and WiFi routers and more, and now we (western capitalists) built ourselves into a corner, because we thought the gravy train would last forever, but we sold it to the 2nd (was 1st) most populist country in the world, and the one with the most stability to get their sh!t together (note India can't do the same). So this era will be China's and they will get rich and their people will get higher wages over time, and we will suffer, until eventually it is cheaper to send the work to us, or more likely to emerging markets like Africa and South East Asia, and the only way we will stop it will be if we pay more for our goods and make them at home and stop free trade that we've championed all this time because it fills the pockets of the rich, or if we start a war and colonise the Chinese, but good luck with that, it's not the 1800s anymore. History has always had power change hands, from the Greeks to the Romans to the British to the Americans, and bits and pieces in between. Such is life. Nobody wants to be alive in the time of the dying empire, and especially nobody wants to be alive when their country is bottom of the pile, ravaged by war and lack of opportunity and suppressed by their overlords. We're at least not at that stage yet.

Thank from Portugal
You're very welcome. Thank you for watching.
In Portugal, Opel located in Azambuja folded years ago due to labour disputes.
And Auto-Europe underwent a wide array of labour problems as well -- V.W. came close to yank the factory out and move it to Central Europe.
In 1975 South-Korea produced its First car.
A few years later, Hyundai was selling cars in the US, advertising them through a catchy slogan:
"Hyundai, 2,999 dollars.
In 20 years, Europe run the Auto-Industry to the ground,
.
I think the red interior is great.
Hope you enjoy the rest of the video.

thanks a lot for this review! you are in good shape doing marathon through this huge auto show! 😁
Haha, I wish I was in shape! Need to get ready for Shanghai next year, that's the biggie.

Oh awesome, congratulations. Nice car the HT, quite spacious in the back and the doors are cool.

Wow 57 Chinese car brands!!! That's more than the EU, US , Japan and Korea car brands combined.
If you're a Chinese car customer there's so many models now it takes more than a month to decide which one to buy.
57 Chinese car brands + most western car brands.
Tell me about it. Picking one to buy for yourself is hard. And the 57 doesn't even include all the ones that exist, some didn't come.

Maybe next time I need two videos, an in-depth one and one like this, or some additional videos to focus on the big releases.
I can’t be the only one that fast forwarded through the Japanese and European brands right ?
Haha. I used to not even include them but we need to see if they're capable of keeping up.

That makes sense. The EV looks much better I think. Interesting that they've made them distinct from each other.
Exhilarating 👌
Haha, at a reasonable pace.
Thank you for this important video. I know about Li Auto. I bought their shares.
Cool, hope that goes well for you. Also hoping to see their M series models coming next year.
这个车展持续到北京时间的24号
Good coverage and very informative. Camera movement gave me vertigo 😅
Haha, glad you enjoyed it. Apologies for the vertigo.
Many thanks. Get that Geely Geome reviewed. It seems to tick all the boxes we hava for an electric car. Wheels pushed to the edges, RWD, independent rear suspenstion, 370 lt trunck, well spaced interior and feeling, 70lt frunk.
I'll see if I can get one. Just reviewed the Galaxy E5 and that's really good.
👏👏👏👏👏 I'm sure that you were the most informed visitor! Thank you very much for the very complete tour, and it must be really dificult to choose an EV in China these days 😅😅😅😁😁😁

Thanks for the tour. Wear a pair of plasterers stilts for the next show, hehe.
You know what, that's a great idea. It'll make getting into the cars a challenge though.
Excellent coverage. Many Chinese EVs are coming here in Pakistan. After Donal Duck tariffs i hope we get a tsunami of them n get lower prices
Awesome. You'll have better cars than the US soon. Now wouldn't that be a turn up for the books?
Seeing as there are some rumors on HiPhi getting some investments to keep production going. Do you see a future where they are rescued?
I often wonder how they choose myself. Zeekr MIX for me, but that Chery MPUV thing looks ace.
Excellent report! You have very good knowledge of the cars you are showing us, unlike other motor show reporters where they have no ideas what they are showing us ,they just keep saying
"Very good" or "I like that" to virtually all the cars they see in the show without giving us more stats on them i.e. they didn't do any homework before going to the show.

Haha, that does seem to be the best way.
I really liked the Netas especially the Hunting estate. Seems the Chinese less so. I guess they already arranged to be there before the troubles.
Most likely. They have secured some funding from Nanning government which might help, though not sure how much or if it's enough. Thing is, they were affordable and now the whole market has come in their direction and they've got nowhere to go, so they need to improve their cars to meet the new standard at that price point and try to do it profitably.
Sorry for the 3 posts! But I would so love to see a Hyptec SSR vs Yangwang U9 head to head!
Haha, I'd love the chance to drive just one of them but we'll see what we can do.
@InsideChinaAuto fingers crossed mate!
0-100KM/hour in 1.9 second - that is insanely fast
The look, design, colour scheme and technology of these cars make me drool ... only wishing them they will be in Canada

Indeed, you're right. The front doesn't match. That Song is about five different cars with different faces. The overall car is roughly the same but with a different front end.

The Stelato S9 is one impressive sedan.
It is, and one thing I didn't find out until day 2 is that it has a zero gravity back seat as well as a projector. It's really quite impressive.
Is Venucia by Dongfeng discontinued?
Venucia still exists. I was told they weren't at the show but I did actually spot them in the edit later at the Nissan stand as they're kind of a joint venture, they just didn't get their own spot this time. If you look at the Nissan stand, the first two cars as I enter the stand are Venucias.
@@InsideChinaAuto ... yes, I thought I saw them when you were first walking into the Nissan area ... thanks
When Tesla started making waves it made what every other manufacturer was doing extremely boring, now the crazy development in china is starting to make me bored with Tesla.

gyat damn, the interior design from chinese cars are extremely aggressive, especially the colors.
I guess it is bcos how competitive the market is.
I do love an aggressive interior colour.
Impressive coverage, thanks. No Stellantis ? No joke, sorry !
Yup, nothing of theirs here this time except Leapmotor.
You'd have to hope so.
Unbelievable. Great report. Seen it, next one. Just perfect. And guess what. I think I like 85% of the cars. There are great designs amongst them. They look very European. If you compare these to the new BMW's... It's no match. These win.

Haha, I can see the resemblance. Man that Thesis was ugly at the front, though funnily enough I saw a resemblance to the rear in the first black Hongqi on the stand, the one with a butt too small for its body.
that ID buzz feels sad around so many better MPVs and SUV styled MPVs
Yup 😂😆
Haha. Imagine being the coolest kid in school everywhere else in the world then you come to China and you're just the loser at the back of the class.
@InsideChinaAuto 😂😆
Forthing is now available in Europe.
Seriously, they brought Forthing? You don't mean Voyah do you? I know they have those. Forthing must only be in Eastern Europe if they took that abroad.
And than I go to Mazda showroom here in Thailand and see the models that are the same as in 2017 😂 Mazda 3 1.3milion THB for example. ($37.000) 😮
Haha. I like Mazda, especially the designs, but they need to up their game now. It's not 2017 anymore.
@use-oc4mj6n I guess you have to lean into it a bit when your current cars aren't really much like those that built your heritage.
@@InsideChinaAuto Ha, it always helps if your brand has a good history, maybe some of the magic may rub off 👍 . Let's be honest, no one is ever going to buy a Lotus Eclat these days as a daily driver !!

Has the 6B pollution standard been implemented in China? or what standards are currently required for a manufacturer? what CO2 limitations,...?
It's a good question, I'll have to check for you. I believe they do have a standard, might even be Euro 6 I think, but I'm not 100% certain.
Thing is, their marketing can only do so much, they've still got to get past anti-China sentiment and misinformation, plus some shoddy Chinese brands going overseas seemingly intent on destroying the reputation of the entire Chinese industry because they can't sell cars to Chinese people.
i would buy the nammi cross.
Looks pretty funky right?
😮😮😮🎉🎉🎉🎉
A lot to take in, right?

Haha. That little thing is ace. I love it.
The rear wheels facing opposite directions was mind challenging. I guess there would be tire scrub until the 4 wheels were tangential to a circle radius a bit over half the wheelbase.
@@AJames-jr8kw Indeed, but certainly better than the stuff they do on the Denza and IM models.
The two Zeeker models looked like they were being held hostage. It's okay to smile ladies.
Haha. I'll have to go back and check that.
The new SMART FORFOUR (#4) going to get the same plattform as the GEOME
The GEA? That'll be interesting. I know they were looking at SEA for a two-seater like the old one but were struggling to get it down to size without being too heavy and capable of a five-star safety rating.
Would like more info on charging/efficiency/battery tech and less on the form factors, that is the "easy" part!
We do reviews for that stuff.
Calm down fanboy. Tesla gets all their good batteries from China. The chief of CATL had a good laugh at Tesla's homemade 4680 batteries.
@ Fair, just something I would love in a walk through like this as well :)
@@onetwothreefour-s1n Why so agressive, just wanted to share what I am interested in lol
@anton_grahn because you fanboys have destroyed the green movement in the USA. It is your fault. But hail Elon or whatever it is you say..
How many Auto shows are there in China 😂
Many, it is an annually 30 mil plus units sold market after all.😂
shanghai/beijing/guangzhou/chengdu These four are the biggest auto shows in China. The rest are regional car shows, local in nature.
Exactly. Three major ones a year, with the biggest alternating between Beijing and Shanghai.
But you can afford a Chinese car even if you earn more, so why do you have to earn less? The logic makes no sense.
