@@davidmattocks4029I figured as much. It was upside down in a shallow puddle. I had a neighbor who had one of those old Honda's and it was a beast. When you accelerate with them the centrifugal force instantly changed the shape of the rear tires. Most tires do that but they usually have to spool up a bit. It was instant with that. But they're dangerous if you don't know what you are doing.
ATC 250 R !!! Fuck around and find out. LOL Had 3 of them. Never an issue. Had more injuries on mountain bikes than all the years twisting the throttle.
It wasn't because of that particular model. It was the Big Red's that killed a lot of people. Their torque and big tires caused them to flip right on top of people. The ATC would usually break the tires loose before they'd come over on you. If safety courses were required before purchasing a lot of deaths could have been avoided. Then there's the whole no clutch handle issue but I don't want to get into that debate in these times.
Its a 2 stroke. Pull the plug, clean out the flooded crankcase, put plug back in, 2 kicks.
It started first kick without doing any of that.

Lucky it wasn't quick sand
50 years ago, there were actually real dunes, not just some hills and valleys.
My brother-in-law's 250R almost killed him twice, and my brother once. I learned to respect it after that.
That poor 250R 😭
How about that purple/yellow banshee tho
Glad the guy is ok, but there is a reason those things were outlawed in the US lol.
