Geese are pretty good at warning/alerting things. They use them in prison in South America to warn on convicts trying to escape. So it alerts all the guards immediately. They notice people from far away and will come running and honking. They have 10x better night vision than humans and it costs FAR less than technology or additional guards or dogs.

Kind of like donkeys with protecting sheep/cattle, etc. They are cheaper than dogs, live longer, are cheaper to feed, they have excellent eyesight, are EXTREMELY territorial, will kill coyotes, dogs, and lone wolves, etc. and have a very distinct and noisy hee-haw that alerts farmers.
