    Utah has a lot of great places to ride. If you go around the back side of the mountain there are a lot of trails. You should also try Coral Pink Sand Dunes, which is further south. It has some big dunes too but is more scenic. It also has better camping accommodations.

    • @QuadGuyCy
      @QuadGuyCy  Рік тому

      They really do! We’ve talked about bringing some dirt tires some time but our inner sand addicts keep saying no! I’ve been to Coral Pink twice. My next video will be content from there actually. It’s a really beautiful place but imho one of the most dangerous dune fields I’ve ridden. In one of my older videos there’s footage of a friend of mine who almost rode his last ride there.

    • @jcapen1
      @jcapen1 Рік тому

      @QuadGuyCy If you have enough cargo trailer space and don't need a rv , there are some good airbnb options with dune access. You could easily stay busy for two weeks. If you are planning to camp, count on a little rain, but there are some great options. I have a connection for a great spot with full hookups that runs a bit less than some of the other campgrounds.

    • @QuadGuyCy
      @QuadGuyCy  Рік тому

    How are those elkas up front?

    • @QuadGuyCy
      @QuadGuyCy  Рік тому

      For the price they are hard to beat imho. 22 years ago the Elka Legacy series was their high end stage 3 shock. I bought a set back then for my 400ex. They were about $3500 back then. That set has been rebuilt 4 times. On the Zilla they are definitely an improvement on the front end, the stock Zilla rear shock is a decent shock. If you have one that’s nice enough to be rebuilt, have it sprung for your weight they work well but the cost maybe almost the same as just purchasing a new Elka Legacy rear.

      What kind of shape is it in? Has it been ridden recently? Start with the basics, make sure all the brakes are working and in good shape. Check your clutch and throttle, make sure everything works as it should. Get it in the air and check for play in the suspension, worn ball joints, tie rods, pivot bearings, etc.. For the engine really depends if it’s been sitting or running recently. Change the fluids pull the stator cover check the crank for play. Make sure carb boot is in good chair and that the is all sealed. Pull plug rotate engine make sure everyone spins freely. That should be a good start.

    • @trisha8708
      @trisha8708 Місяць тому

      @ it’s very mint. It’s got brand new graphics. The frame is really good shape. I just had to do it tuneup on it adjusted the carb put new reads stuff like that. I got me a case saver from a guy in Massachusetts. Very good quality for a good price and order me a skid plate as we go down to Georgia at Durhamtown at least 5 to 6 times a yearlooking forward to going to Silverlake in Michigan this year. They said those dunes are really good.
