diablo 3 is peak comfy. It is very much more an arcade experience than than grim dawn or torchlight. I do still enjoy playing once per year for 2 or 3 weeks.
I think you hit the nail on the head there. I think this time around I was looking for something I can sink my teeth into rather than have some mindless fun

@AdziGaming I lived through gaming history. I had to wait years for D3, and it just disappointed, and I won't be getting 4. Looks like a pile of dog crap to me. I've been playing Boderlands for my dungeon crawling and looting fix.
The Torchlight series is really flipping good. It's a great introduction to get your kids hooked on ARPGs. I recently jumped back into Diablo 3 and had so much of a good time, I went ahead and grabbed Diablo 2 Resurrected Edition and Diablo 3 for the Switch. I'm gonna have some sleepless nights lol
I still love Diablo 3, not perfect, but still great... I really worry for Diablo 4, given how Blizzard is these days, they're likely to mess up some how - like always online
I'm worried about the servers at launch but otherwise I'm pretty excited for D4 after the beta. I really liked the skill tree from what I played and the world events. If it's going to be always online they'll be nice additions
@Adzi Gaming I hear you, but how many times have we been fooled into thinking the game will be fine, and bam, microtransactions, lootboxes, season pass etc etc, even after we've been promised that won't happen. I'll wait 6months before even thinking of Diablo 4
@FLYER I’m kinda the same, at the moment the game just seems too good. It wouldn’t surprise me to see blizzard just randomly say that the game is pay to win.

You made the right choice man. I'm level 32 in Diablo 4 and I'm sooooo bored. The skills are too few and feel weak, the spell effects suck, there is such a big lack of class diversification, etc, etc. Can go on and on. Not worth 40$ even.

Level 50 is barely even beginning the game. You maybe got some good items early, but you are going to replacing them in no time. There are a lot of upgrades to come. You can sacrifice items to get their powers. There are sets etc. You barely scratched to surface and that is why this review is bad. Like reviewing wow and playing till level 20.
Ive gone further than level 50 previously and I think I laid out why I couldn't get into the game this time around. I do agree that the meat of these games are the end game and I have done some of it in the past. But I also enjoy ARPGs for their story and side missions and find fun in playing through them casually as well
