    "Be around to see your legacy, because you have one" is the most heart wrenching compliment you could ever hope to achieve, put so nicely

    “ be around to see your legacy pay off, cause you have one!” Most heart breaking yet biggest compliment ever.

    Poor Sig. He was scared, not dumb. Being scared and in pain inhibits one's ability to think clearly.

    • @ShimrraJamaane
      @ShimrraJamaane Рік тому +5

      To be fair, it is both. I’ve seen how much denial people will have when having a heart attack. The denial is the dumb part. It’s ok to ask for help, even if it’s nothing serious. As an EMT, I’d rather arrive to a patient who thinks they are having a heart attack when it isn’t one rather than arrive to someone who is now on the ground in asystole because they were in denial. I’ve only seen someone have a return of circulation once, all others have been either DOA or declared deceased after 40 minutes of resuscitation efforts.
      For anyone reading this, just call EMS if there is even a hint that you could be having a heart attack. No matter how mild you think the symptoms are. It goes from 0 to 100 faster than you know. I’d rather show up to find out it’s just anxiety than to have not been called until it’s too late. Your friends and loved ones would agree.
      It’s ok to not be ok. Please, make the call. It doesn’t cost you anything for us to show up and evaluate you. We are here for you, in any moment.

      @@ShimrraJamaane yes, rather calling to fast and find out that it was nothing live threatening then calling to late. This denial, or the fear of calling the EMS because of nothing is the worst you can do and because of that allot of people die wich could have been saved if they just called for help. It is more prevelant in the older generation and more likely in men because the where raised that way like "you don't need to see the doctor for everything" "be a men and wait for it to go away" or whatever. But this is even in older woman so yeah. Random chestpain should always be checked and if it is not extremly strong you should atleast ask a relative to drive you to a clinic because it can be a warning sign of a comming hear attack or it can be a light one, wich is also dangerous if not treadet-

    I lost my beautiful momma to lung cancer on 11/11/2011. Just days after she passed, I found out I was pregnant with my son. She isn't here to watch my daughter grow up. She isn't here to watch my son grow up, never even knew that he was even coming. Sig has family to think of. I can't even tell you how much it hurts to know that my momma is gone, because she couldn't stop smoking cancer sticks. Please Sig, stop.

    Nice seeing good old Northwestern out of the water and finally getting her bent bow pounded back into shape. And with the new equipment she's received in her refit, she's going to come back stronger than ever! Those crab better watch out, cause NW and her crew will be coming hard to punch their tickets real soon.

      I don’t want to take anything away from Sean’s dad because I’m sure you’re right, but going through something like losing a father at a young age makes or breaks a lot of men. I think Sean took that experience and matured from it. He’s wise beyond his years because he experienced so much before he was supposed to. It’s a tragically beautiful thing

    Sig's heart attack that was the worst day ever. It is always scary when someone goes into cardiac arrest and has a heart attack. Sig needs to take care of himself. We lost Captain Phil to a stroke and he died of a hemorrhage we don't want to lose Sig the same way.

    Sig, thank you for doing this video & for admitting that you being in denial could've killed you. I expect a lot of wives will be showing it to their husbands.
    I pray you're doing much better now. I'm also praying you quit smoking. If you can ride those Bering Sea waves like Tuff Hedeman on that bad-ass bull Bodacious, you can do this too! Reward yourself when you hit milestones: perhaps at 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, for example. But however you determine the frequency and the prize, it might be a good incentive to help you get through the beginning stages. After that it gets much easier.
    I quit 21 years ago because I couldn't even take 2 puffs without it making my arrhythmia start acting up. It definitely affects your heart, whether you can feel it or not. Stick around for your family, Sir. Being a grandpa is awesome! And so is retirement, aka playtime.🙂🙏🏼
