Man, Todd's obit says he was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and sister. That poor guy had a rough go. He didn't seem like a downer, though. Dude kept going. RIP.
That's what men do, we keep going.
We can sit down and cry or we can get stuff done.
That preceded in death is very common. Parents and older siblings go first...
@@soccerguy2433 He was only 30, though, so they couldn't have been *too* old, one would think.
@@soccerguy2433 common for 70+ year olds yeah not anything under
My heart sank with they had the coast guard stand down.
NEVER a good sign.
I knew already what it meant, and yet when I heard it I still said, “I hope that doesn’t mean what I think it means…” The truth is that you just don’t wanna believe it-you just wanna somehow be able to have the outcome change for the better. Rest easy, Todd. 🙏🏻♥️
I was a paramedic for 20+ years. Stand down means EXACTLY what you immediately think it does. No other reason. RIP.
Man the summer bay crew has had more than anyone should have to take. My heart truly goes out to especially Landon and Bill.
When he holds up the profile picture of the 3 of them, and he's the only one left alive.. that hits hard man
Indeed. That photo says a lot without saying one word. They are all so young. May these men be at peace and their families find comfort in the time that they had with them.
Hugs to Bill...it hits him hard. Be safe boys!
Your not kidding man
🙏💖🌹👣👣👣👤👤👤
That would be telling me- find a new job
Nick passed too??? Oh man
Man I haven't seen this show in 7-8 years....didn't know it was still on....man such going memories back in the day. All the guys look so much older, glad it's still running.
What about Todd buddy I’ll do it for u RIP Todd
Same here. Kinda nice catching up with these guys.
They come across as hard men which they most certainly are! But when they earn the respect of each other they become brothers a bond that is so strong ! My heart goes out to his family and brothers left behind !
🙏🙏🙏 Heartfelt condolences to all his family and friends..
Losing the young is the worst 😪😞
You can tell wild BIll has a big heart ~! think he is a stand up guy, and I will always be a fan !! wish them all well ~!
My heart and prayers go out to Todd's family, loved ones, and friends. So many lose their lives every year, even one is too many. I have been watching the series since the very first episode, so they all feel like family to me, love them all. Cry like a baby every time something happens to one of them. God bless and protect them all.
Damn. Sorry to hear this. Condolences to the family and his friends….
Absolute respect to everyone of you guys whole different breed of men and the job they do
I remember when he came on that boat. He was actually a really damn good deckhand.
Prayers and condolences to his family and all his friends. I’m so sorry for your loss. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Oh god..
What a way to die. Rip Todd💙
Love and prayers for the

Fine young guy.

The picture of Landon,Nick and Todd really hit. Now only Landon is left.
💞
Life is short, be sure to
make it count. 💞
Having watched so many seasons it still hits home every time.
Awwwww 😢 My deepest condolences to Todd's family and friends both blood and crew members. Healing blessings to all!! 🙏💜

May God give peace and consolation to Todd's family and his fellow crab fishermen on the Deadliest Catch! It's a sad day for sure! Stay strong brother's! You are an elite class of men!
If God wanted Todd's family to have peace he wouldn't have crushed him with a crab pot, now would he have?
@@TheChrist4ylor God didn't crush Todd with a crab pot, your answer is in the name of the show...they gave it that name for a reason!
And women
The coastguard are the unsung heroes they participated in every battle and war that we've been in I'm sure that all the other services have a lot of tough people as far as coasties are concern! There is no one tougher I've seen some of them in Vietnam do things that were worthy of cmf they never get any recognition I'm God bless men and women on the Coast Guard
These guys are superhuman doing what they do, rest in peace 🙏
My favourite program of all time I’ve watched this for years
That's why it's called the deadliest catch. Those guys risk everything for what's on your dinner plate. God bless the fleet to stay safe.
Getting crushed is my biggest fear. It’s a bigger fear of mine than drowning.
I spent years listening to scanners as a member of the media.
It’s heartbreaking whenever you hear an air ambulance get that ‘stand down’ from their dispatcher.
So sad to hear, my thoughts are with his family at this difficult time, even though it was last year its still a tragedy.
Hope everyone is safe this year and that a tragedy like this does not happen again although sadly fishing is a risky business.
This is so much loss in a year. I can’t even IMAGINE how hard this is on them.
Especially the captain of the Patricia Lee. This tragedy must be eaten him up inside to lose a crew member 😭
SO SAY. GOD BLESS THE FAMILY. SWAMP HUGS FROM LOUISIANA.
R.I.P. Todd, Rest Easy Brother, R.I.P.
Prayers and condolences to the family and friends and may the Lord provide comfort and strength to all who love Todd. May Todd rest in peace.

Todd was a good guy.
Rest in peace Todd..
Love the show, he will be missed 😢
He didn't die, he passed forward into eternity!
Yeah but he also did die
Nah@@beegyoshi5073, death is an illusion, the soul never dies. There's way more to life, than what we see here!

R.I.P Todd condolences to your friends and family
condolences to todd and his familey and also his crew members may he rest in peace
People can talk shit about wild bill. But i got upmost respect for him as a captain. He shows that he truly cares about his “hands”
When I started watching this show back in 2011,, i had no idea that PHIL HARRIS had already passed-- i would only be able watch on my daughter's cable( I didn't have a t.v.) or cable at the time--it was always scary to watch,, not knowing if a tragedy might happen!! it was only about 2yrs ago that l found out all tis time he was gone & I was seeing old episodes!!!!😲--- no joke-- I PRAY FOR ALL YOU BRAVE GUYS OUT ON THE ROUGH OPEN SEAS!!!🙏🕊🕊
My Brother Julio was on the Patricia Lee, Todd died in his arms and it still affects him and his crew.
I used to watch this show when i was yuonger and wanted to see ships go under but now whatching this agan when im older this hits hard..

RIP ! Tragic loss
Man I feel terrible for Landon and bill, that’s gotta be a kick in the gut
Guys, please. The footage of the coast guard is b roll they either already filmed or filmed after the fact. They werent actually there when this was all going down.
I NEED to know how that captain gets his ponytail to perfection
This makes me want to be a part of something like this.
Rest in peace todd
Rest in Peace, young Unangax^
Rest in peace 🙏 sir
My aunt and Uncle own the property in Cold Bay Alaska where the coast guard was considering buying for access
Rest In Peace Todd
Prayers for the fishing family.

RIP Todd.

Life is like a whisper.
It sucks that most of us men are expected to keep a strong rapport and fight the tears. It really shows in times like this.
Rest in peace ❤️❤️
I've been in those waters it can get pretty crazy out there 😜 US INTREPID 2018 -2020
Working class America loses another first class Patriot,God bless he and all of us🙏🇺🇸🗽
Lol there's NO WAY the ad for this was a casino slot machine of fish. The disrespect level is amazing.
RIP Todd. Bill has a hard shell, but you can tell that one the inside he´s got a sweet heart. You can really see how sad he gets over these losses, especially Nick who was like a son to him.
Loosing 3 in about 7 months would hit hard on everyone... They get so close to eachother when they work on those boats. Rest easy Todd ♥️
@@toneolsen6861 learn how to spell "lose" the proper way dude. haha
So you really think my spelling is the most important in this case?
@@ForrestGump1212 "Losing"
I think it is interesting to see that it really has effected him. I am sure like you said, in his mind, Nick was his son, he gave up his relationship with his son because of Nick.
RIP Todd
" I tell you what, he was a good hand." Sad that a lot of people in this world today don't know how big of a compliment that is.
Rest In Peace Todd
agreed
making a good hand as well as finding one is something that todays people just know nothing about. people are lazy, entitled, and fucked now….addicted to drugs and video games, mentally weak and emotionally unstable…..the fundamentals of being a man is going down the fucking tube….
that’s why people don’t understand that compliment. that 10 min clip….that’s the only thing that stuck out to me was when he said “he was a good hand”
that’s a rare and special thing now days.
@@203-g7w "making a good hand as well as finding one is something that todays people just know nothing about." What period of time did everyone know about finding deck hands for Alaskan crab boats?
@@203-g7w In the mountains of the Blue Ridge in West Virginia, you ain't gonna find any deckhands here so I don't even know what you're talking about. So apparently we all have to be good deckhands to be a man. Got it. I'll find a goddamn boat in the fucking mountains and row like hell in a sea of coal beds crabbing for gold.
@@sjmclean0 He was a good hand can apply to any type of work. All it means was he was a damn good worker and a good person. Yall take shit to literally.
@Coolguyweed first of all you dont know how much they make and most people that work on these boats are far from underpaid and usually make bank. 2nd just because your generation is a lazy bunch that hates to work doesnt mean it isnt a compliment from someone especially from an older generation. So no it doesnt sound stupid at all especially when someone enjoys their job. but go off i guess lol
Man, when it was in fact Todd, my heart broke for Bill. To lose 3 of his guys within the span of like a year is absolutely devastating.
He was only on for a couple seasons, but considering his name kept popping up he was probably well thought of as an alternate or replacement for one of the regular crew.
Bill didn't care. He cares about himself and more money.
@@whenthehammerwastthomas1585 Your a cold hearted sob.
@@whenthehammerwastthomas1585 you might have died on the inside, but don't assume others fell into the deep just like you. you'd be worth more as manure on a field at this point
@@whenthehammerwastthomas1585 youre a bit of a nob you know
I respect the film crews. They have jobs to record everything, but when the captain's & crew ask them to leave to process tragedy, they comply & give them the space they need. A lot of reality TV shows wouldn't do that. So props to the production folk & i'm sure it's hard for them to knowing these veterans & greenhorns that don't make it.
Discovery itself has done good with this from gold rush to deadliest catch and it’s all thanks to Phil Harris daw he was the first tv death other than steve Irwin that helped pave the way for tv shows to handle these situations
If the captain says stop you stop. At sea captain is boss over everything.
They are there to film not get in the way so they respect the wishes to not film when asked. Plus they are living on the boat just like the crew so on theory the camera crew are part of the team. They eat sleep and work just as hard.
Yea I was watching "Alaskan Bush People" the other day and it was the episode where Billy died. The film crew was just watching them have breakdowns.
@@offtheradar5767 omg thats so disrespectful. A Tv show isn't everything.
As an offshore fisherman myself, I can honestly say, there's nothing harder than these moments. I'm the only one of my original crew still on the water, most have passed on, and it never gets easier.
🙏
💜
❤️🙏✌️
I don’t miss hearing about Dutch Harbor, my husband worked as an offshore fisherman out there. Sometimes as long as 6 moths straight of being out on the water. It is very hard. Props to any man or woman working out there and making a living like this. Last years fishing was rough the are not lying about that.
My sympathies. But I have 2 questions. 1) How do you deal with so much grief? 2) How do you deal with the whole that could be me? (I'm guessing that this is a reminder of your own mortality).
I never knew Todd, but if you can make a bunch of grown men cry...that tells me you were a good person.
This show is so tough man, you really get attached to these guys and want to see them all succeed and make it back to port safe.. and alive. I’m still not over the loss of Captain Phil, and these never get any easier.
That one☝🏻I can never watch it the same after Phil. I was so happy when they came out with Bloodline and Josh got to follow some of his dads maps.
I cried like a baby when Phil past away. To this day I hear his song for his boat and I get chills. Even as just a fan of the show it's hard to watch and hear of their passing. RIP Tod!
I can't even imagine the amount of pain Todd must have felt before succumbing to his injuries. I know it's super late but my prayers go out to his family and friends
The saddest part is the crew he was with had to watch him literally die slowly and couldn't do anything to help. They said he said he was in extreme pain so he was alive for how ever long. Such a sad and horrible way to go. I feel so bad for this guy.
