Alright so I love Volumes and I dig the sound of this track but honesty I really do think they're going backwards with their music. For all the OG fans, you've got The Concept of Dreaming, which was extremely heavy and raw for its time when it released, then VIA dropped like a year and a half later or so, and it was just as good, if not better than TCOD. Everything was so intricate and beautiful, mixed with heavy and it was just a perfectly crafted and well a produced record, then 2014 comes along and we got No Sleep, which was still great, but a little less intricate and it just sounded like the creative aspect was lackluster in comparison to the previous material. Then fast forward to Mike Barr leaving and Myke Terry joining we have Feels Good, and now this song.. which to me it just sounds... plain and poppy. and no disrespect but it just doesn't fit you guys in my opinion. Feels good KINDA brought back traditional Volumes sound more along the lines of No Sleep but that's about it to me. I really do hope the new album isn't at all like this song because the main reason I got into you guys in the first place was because of how technical and heavy you guys were.. so I'm really hoping it's not lost. But hey.. just my opinion I guess.

Love the collaboration of rapping, singing, and screaming. There will always be purists to specific genres that won't like the addition of other elements, but the world is blending and I enjoy all these style so hearing them together is fun, creative, and a great way to show off each style while keeping a metal backbone. Pretty brootal imo.
This is one of those songs that at first listen, you're like "what the fuck did I just listen to" Then you listen to it more than 3 times and you fucking love it. It really grows on you, especially the chorus👌

His voice in Volumes is more mesmerizing and a little higher than when he was in BYD, but I see it as growth and showcases his vocal talents.

Alright so I love Volumes and I dig the sound of this track but honesty I really do think they're going backwards with their music. For all the OG fans, you've got The Concept of Dreaming, which was extremely heavy and raw for its time when it released, then VIA dropped like a year and a half later or so, and it was just as good, if not better than TCOD. Everything was so intricate and beautiful, mixed with heavy and it was just a perfectly crafted and well a produced record, then 2014 comes along and we got No Sleep, which was still great, but a little less intricate and it just sounded like the creative aspect was lackluster in comparison to the previous material. Then fast forward to Mike Barr leaving and Myke Terry joining we have Feels Good, and now this song.. which to me it just sounds... plain and poppy. and no disrespect but it just doesn't fit you guys in my opinion. Feels good KINDA brought back traditional Volumes sound more along the lines of No Sleep but that's about it to me. I really do hope the new album isn't at all like this song because the main reason I got into you guys in the first place was because of how technical and heavy you guys were.. so I'm really hoping it's not lost. But hey.. just my opinion I guess.
