NARRATIVE - OUT NOW!
Look what I’ve found. Come get down. It’s that revolution sound. Call it second emancipation, break these chains and let me out. It’s not violence I’m on about, but riot boots still hit the ground. Lower the gun put down the whip, take a step back hear me out. I am fanatic, employ guerilla tactics. Open up this lyrical automatic and put holes in your rhetoric. It’s archaic, kind of chaotic, almost barbaric, but yet you stand and you swear by it. And I’ve been readily, steadily waiting for a chance to resist. The devil is a liar, topple the empire, blood sweat tears and desire. I put my heart into this. Never forget I’m a soldier. I will not be conquered.
I can’t walk this road forever, and I can’t forget the past. My soul is under pressure, and it killing me. It’s destroying me within, my need for emancipation. My soul is under pressure, and it’s killing me.
Life, liberty, pursuit of happiness, equality and justice for all. Now you know you lying.
You on that shotgun philosophy. Celebrate the tragedy. Build an effigy high to the heavens to remind me and blind me. Turn the whole world into my enemy. Control my destiny and drain all my energy. It’s insane to me. Got the whole nation sedated and medicated, a testimony to the violence, yet you still give me that ghetto education, basically priming me to feed me to the prison industry.
I see all of the cowards, the greed, the need to hold control over me. Break these chains, end the power. I’d rather you give back what you stole from me.
I can’t walk this road forever, and I can’t forget the past. My soul is under pressure, and it killing me. It’s destroying me within, my need for emancipation. My soul is under pressure, and it’s killing me.
Excuse me Mr. officer, come out of my sector, no need to stress, no need for vex.
Yo, excuse me your honor, fuck the drama. No apologies, I save that for my mama. Take my name off of the docket. Drop all these charges. All it took was a spark, all it took was a catalyst. Martin said it best, I live a life with no violence, so I speak up, no longer silent. I begin to see. My third eye is opening. My resolve is strengthening. I yearn to be free.
I can’t walk this road forever, and I can’t forget the past. My soul is under pressure, and it’s killing me. It’s destroying me within, my need for emancipation. My soul is under pressure, and it’s killing me.
Excuse me Mr. officer no need for war. Trying to drain my energy, but you can’t keep me down.
I can’t walk this road forever, and I can’t forget the past. My soul is under pressure, but it won’t kill me.

this band just inspired me to embrace that I'm black an that I'll forever listen to rock/metal
Darryl Flint Jr. Keep it up bro ! 🤘
Welcome to the family \m/
animals as leaders, body count
Id welcome you to the family but you've been family since the heavy called you. We don't choose the heavy, it chooses us. So ill just say hi brother
Nah ill date who ever I love fuck boy.
Well fuck, this is surprisingly good. I don't know if I've ever heard a mix of rap-reggae style vocals with chugging metal before. Definitely really interested in the full album.
Skindred man.
+Jw Anderson Skindred is from the land down under mate.
+Jw Anderson I stand corrected lol. Cheers!
+Jw Anderson skindred had one or two good songs. Candiria on the other hand you wouldn't be able to tell these two bands apart they sound so much alike.so check them out they've been around for ages i belive they are from Brooklyn or the bronx.
I definitely see major potential in these guys. The vocalist has a versatility that really shouldn't be possible and they've got great songwriting. Will be keeping an eye on them for sure
Metal doesn’t care about color. If your music is good, you got thousands to have your back.
Sadly this guy apparently cares too much about color though since he's still acting like a victim because of his skin color.
David Harrington First of all. He speaks the truth. Secondly, he’s speaking of unity while you speak of division. Take your hate elsewhere.
@@nikopoa6555 Black people aren't systematically oppressed anymore, guy. If you or anyone else can't see that then they're as blind as can be. Unity is bringing people together, not splitting em up by falsely victimizing. No hate here, just logic.
@@StarsetFlight you are the problem, fuck off you dimp
@@StarsetFlight Just because there's no systematic oppression doesn't mean there's no racism or other hate anymore. What you call logic is merely an excuse to look away from social inequality and blame it on the victims. Don't be fooled by what looks like a simple truth and, more importantly, don't look away just because it's simple to do so.
Why the fuck is Rap not more often mixed into metal? It is always so good I swear to God that scene is coming it’s gonna be so rad.
Raptor x Yeah, but how many bands are actually flossing a tight rap/metal style? Early Linkin Park was great, I’m just surprised it is not a more prevalent style.
it's literally called nu-metal look it up lmao
Nu metal.. Limp bizkit.. Korn and all that shit. Pretty dope.
Lol listen to Hed PE, Body Count and Rage Against the Machine.
Maybe I'm crazy but I always felt there was a lot of similarities between Hip Hop and Hardcore. Madball being the first one to come to mind. Heck Freddy even released a hip hop album.
This song could get someone into metal without them even realizing it. The flow between multiple vocal styles is commendable.
Periphery Riffery nice
Periphery Riffery Hu

Fuck you aren't wrong I like metal now
Right!? Hah that's what happened to me
If we can all rock together, then we can live together.
BigBadRyan86 Best comment ever! I say Amen to that! :-)
Come on, world! Let's bury every hatchet, break every chain, remove every burden and just ROCK together!! \(^o^)/
you're so right
unfortunately that's rediculously preposterous.

My husband introduced me to them. I revisit this song when I miss him
got this from earthside, what a combination
No you're not this is an edited UA-cam comment. 🤣🤣
This song is prolly the most 2020 thing you can listen to
If they just used masks...
Listen to "right now" by these guys. Its like part 2 of this
It was made years ago lol it's only relevant because now people want to listen to what's been said for a long long time.
I definitely agree! 🤘💀🤘
I think "it's the end of the world as we know it" is more accurate
love this dudes voice when he says and its killing me. and love the meaning of the lyrics
I want to say it's a vocal effectyet at the same time I don't lol
it's all eargasmic
thank you for reminding me about (h.e.d) P.E! i heard blackout like 13 years ago and lost my shit

never listened to these guys before but, holy shit, this is fuckin amazing. the lyrics are so powerful, and the mix of screams, rapping, and cleans is incredibly well done
same and true that 👌
you should listen to their other stuff, its fucking lit
+Noel Lopez i will, any songs to recommend?
+Douglas Gomez smoke screen is good, and also pretenders

This song is still as relevant as ever.

Right, me and my mom were talking about in the car
Backwordz - Self-Ownership is legit better.
This guy can rap, sing, scream and growl with the best of them out there💯💯
I came here expecting some garbage but I actually really fuck with this...
my thoughts exactly.
I fuck with this more than my homies ✌
if he would just give up on the ''rapping''
+s l o t h e d i t s I have to disagree. This guy has a wide array of ability, from rapping to screaming. He needs to keep it up, he needs to be heard. This is real music here, he took something, put a lot of hard work and his own twist into it, and something amazing came out of it. Talented guy for sure.

finally something different in this genre of music. fucking badass
As a black man to say I love this is simply an understatement!
@Planet Purgatory 😂

This is three in one... Rapper, Reagge, and Metal.... Very Great...

Theres no reggae in this......
NU metal simple
seanbucke I can hear the reggae-influenced Jamaican me crazy vox but it’s very sparingly.

Right!? I love seeing em join in the jumping and shit. Its awesome. :D
Ryu Kombat yes! Need more of this. Sincerely, a white guy
Go to a local show, you will see a lot of deverse people.
Rock and metal concerts are one of the few places in the world where you'll see all races, religions, sexual orientations, genders, and gender identifications come together as one big happy family, set it all aside, and rock the fuck out. It's an amazing thing to see especially in a world where everybody's become so divided.
BigM2819 really.
words can't describe how stoked I am that I chose to randomly give this video from a band I hadn't heard of a chance. wasn't prepared for great the song & video both would be haha, some bar setting sh*t right here.
Same here!
Me too :)
I am in the same boat, happy I decided to give it that good ol "fuck it" click.
the capitalist and pretenders are also really good from them if you want to check out some others

Honestly. I dont think I've ever resonated with a lyric like "My soul is under pressure, and it's killing me."
I have played this song for hundreds of people from all walks of life. Everyone loves it. Much respect.
I love this message: I'm not being violent, but I won't back down either.
Hockeyrocker117 agreed!
NEVER_AGAIN Go talk about that some where else. I’m tire of race comments.
jonny j Like what, all it talks about is police brutality. Don’t assume that it only happens to blacks you fucking moron. Get real, every one gets a taste of it. And most blacks do stupid shit around cops to get shot or beaten. Don’t play that victim shit around me dumbass.
The crap lord Sell it literally is Channer expressing his feelings towards police brutality towards black people, talking about giving black people ghetto education and prepping them for prison. This song is literally about race. Lol
Omni Media Group Education, I agree. But police brutality, what bull crap. 99% of blacks constantly brought it on themselves to get beaten by cops because they don’t really know how to cooperate with them. That argument is getting real old and play out now. Police brutality happens to every if they end up doing something stupid. Which are mainly blacks. You people are still responding
First you had my interest. Now you have my attention
If they can keep this up they'll be huge imo.
alright, Leo

My god these guys set my soul on fire with their lyrics and sound. It's such a dope combo can't get enough

Hip Hop and Metal corroborating together.
Tremendous MC skills. Really dope vocal-range.
Cool band, boys!
the vocals on this dude are unreal. Why am I just hearing this now?
Stumbled upon this and found out that AJ Channer is part Jamaican.... I found my new favorite band...... Nuff respect from Jamaica 🇯🇲
Listened to one song. Sounded like Coheed. Listened to another, sounded like Parkway Drive. Listened to this, P.O.D. Talk about a diverse sound!
im not the only one who picked up a POD vibe!
aragorn767 I get a P.O.D. vibe combined with RATM lyrics.
These guys are better than POD lol

2:35 my favorite part of this song, sounds like reggae mixed with metal and I love it. Kinda wish I heard more of it.
You would probably love the band Jinjer, they definitely have a reggae influenced metal sound.
This second wave of Nu Metal is badass
Can you suggest some similar ones?
@@vibhorgosain4802 a lot of post-hardcore bands are going in a nu hardcore or nu metalcore direction. One band I found is Designer Disguise, which sounds a lot like a hardcore version of Linkin Park.

You guys had me with End Transmission, but this just sealed the fucking deal. This is fucking awesome.
it is wats going on an has been, use Ur own discretion, we must not get distracted, unify an resist, we r the resistance
And people at my school said black people don't like rock or metal. Guess again. This was fucking amazing

As a future police officer in a few months I wholeheartedly support this. No violence. No hate. We need to come together to appreciate one another.
Don't become a cop. The system can't be fixed from within and to think otherwise is naive af. It can only be torn down and replaced with a system of connected and specifically tailored services to address the actual needs of our communities.
Your training is not preparing you for everything you will be asked to do and you'll succumb to the same emotional numbness as everyone else in that line of work.
Pick a different line of work.
@@theFailQuail to believe that systems that are torn down and replaced after anarchy is "naive af" never in history has it worked and I doubt it ever will. The colonies gorverned themselves they never followed British law. There is no sensible argument to your words so I would suggest removing your tin foil hat and refraining from making such asinine statements.
@@Knox1558 how do you plan to tackle the systemic racism and classism in policing then? Are you going to report when you see your colleagues trample on people's rights? Are you going to call out your COs if they order you to fire rubber bullets or teargas canisters at the faces of a protester? Are you going to hold another cop to account if they push an elderly man to the ground, cracking his skull open?
How well is your training instructing you on de-escalating situations where people are having a mental crisis?
How well is your training teaching you to remain cool under pressure and to protect life and liberty of all the people you'll be tasked to police?
I promise you, however well prepared you think you are or will be, it's not enough.

I went to a 5FDP concert last week. These guys were the opening show along with Bad Wolves and Three days Grace. They were awesome I was the only one headbanging in the rails. I wish I knew these guys before.
Did they play this song?
I went to a show on that same tour in Indiana. Opened me up to these guys, for real glad I went. Bought tickets for their show in my town next month but it got canceled because coronavirus. Sucks, I was looking forward to rocking to these guys again...
@@kaileymiller8552 They did at my location. They were the first act and rocked the place harder than three days grace imo. No hate for three days grace, just not my style as much as these guys
God ffdp and three days grace are awful
This dude has opened a door to new beggining. So many styles of music in this why are these guys not listened to more??
Fuck me! I've been waiting for metalcore and hip hop to unite. It's the exact same in so many ways.
Dude you've been waiting in the wrong place, check hacktivist and DVSR, they did it first and much better than this. To add to that you've got rise of the North Star, desolated, malevolence, biohazard, nasty and groups in beatdown/ hardcore, that naturally hold hip hop elements.
+Kane O'Brien I understand what ur saying but this guy just said he likes the music and u just " no this is bad my stuff is better". instead just say "hey if u like this you should check out this other stuff it's similar and good".
Wb Issues? I'm not sure exactly what you would consider them, but some of their songs are like what you want
+Brianna Lebrocquy Disney-Core
Kind of done and this is more Island music mixed with metalcore. Which has it's nice sound. Although I am waiting for country and metalcore to get mixed I always thought since the country singers have a whiny voice it will pair good with metalcore.
Such a unique and different sound yet still so damn brutal.
Nate it's called rap metal look up Sylar they have this type stuff in song called assume
Bionic Jive was the first band I ever heard that did rap metal, unfortunately they're not around anymore but they made some of the best music I've personally ever heard.
Check out 40 Below Summer and Skindred
A black man, a white man, an asian man, and a native american man go to a metal show.... They all look at each other and begin nodding their head to the down beat. A filthy, gutteral breakdown hits..... They all understand this language. They begin banging their head to the slow chugs, releasing a tidal wave of suppressed emotions that have been beatin into submission behind the walls of being a man. Music (no matter the genre) can be the catalyst for unity, we just have to trust that we're all human at the end of the day.
It doesn't matter who you are, music will bring people together.

Bruh how tf I never heard of this band a black man as a lead vocalist love it
Sevendust & Alice N Chains ftw :-)
"And i can't walk this road forever,
and i can't forget the past,
my soul is under pressure,
and it's killing me;
it's destroying me within,
my need for emancipation,
my soul is under pressure,
and it's killing me"
I know this music doesn't mean about depression, but this part fits a lot with it and i identify a lot. Only who suffer with depression will understand what i'm saying.
is just like Bob Marley with Beartooth
Aldair Contreras There is no beartooth in this. More like Sean Kingston with Korn.
Aldair Contreras there own sound
little bit racist he looks nothing like sevendusts lead vocalist and there style is so so different
when you hear the music you have no idea what he looks like, at least I didn't. I've heard all walks of life sound like different parts of his vocals, which is fuckin awesome!!
Its rock with some Marley vibes yeah.
This sounds like a cross between Hacktivist and P.O.D. I dig it.
Yes! P.O.D.
I think there is definitely some Sevendust in there too haha, I really like it. I think my only feedback is that I wish the Clean Vocals weren't so processed. I think it would've sounded much cooler with more of an authentic sound for the singing.
+SaveTheL0st it's like he has a Jamaican / reggae sound to it lol
I'm a bit iffy on the cleans, sounds a bit too much like Skindred :/
