I missed the bolts? Now I'm sad. HAHAHA!!! Keep up the good work, guys. I have been working on a restoration of my 2003 Jeep Wrangler since 2013 and with every step of progress I end up finding more crap and tearing down more stuff. What started out as a new suspension and re-greared axle differentials (from 3.73:1 to 4.56:1) has exploded into a frame-off restoration with a complete engine rebuild. It is hard work, but very rewarding. Sometimes it is even fun, heh, heh...

id say judging by the bent pump shaft, that the pump took some internal damage and now its not allowing the clutches to lock up, (they are squeezed by hydrolic pressure), did the trans ever work correctly while you had it ? or is all the parts and history unknown, does the fluid smell burnt?
So then what do we look for when we open it up? Or will it be easy to see the damage? Thanks for the response brother I appreciate it.
+pandaManda22 its hard to say l dont have a good answer,but if you take it apart you may see a cracked housing,

Sounded like the timing was a little too advanced, as it was binding when starting.
+tiporari I didn't know it was called binding and yes you are right :)
pandaManda22 When advanced the spark fires before the piston reaches top dead center, and pushes it backward instead of forward (which binds against the starter). Anyway, sorry, I talk too much. Cool project, and nice work!
+tiporari That makes a lot of sense. You learn something every day. Please talk more, I always want to learn whatever I can. I was having trouble initially finding TDC so I think that is what caused me to have it so advanced. I ended up retarding it a bit, but its still not running perfect (need a timing light). Know anything about these 010 auto trans?
+pandaManda22 I haven't fooled with that specific trans, but I know about auto trans's in general. +Mustie1 is a VW wizard. I bet he could answer any questions you have. super nice guy too.
