To be fair, in regards to Rauru's Light Medallion, the other temples were essentially prisons, infected by Ganon's dark magic. If the evil bosses and such weren't there and LInk simply met up with the sages, yeah they'd just give him the Medallion too. Besides we can look at the 'journey' to get the Master Sword as his temple.
If you want a slightly more ”canon” explaination read the Ocarina of Time manga, it has a great reason for them if you ask me (If you do not care any more please forgive me)
Actually, after replaying Ocarina of time, I've discovered that Rauru actually has his light temple, He said and I quote : ''the Light Temple, Situated in the middle of the sacred realm is the only...huh...thing to resist Ganondorf (I don't quite remember it well)''
Hi, just wanted to say that this is still a great animation all these years later. Love the personality given to Rauru and the idea that he slowly begins to love Link. Very cute
Maaaaan, can't believe it's been 10 years! Still one of the funniest Zelda related animations out there. Rauru's I love you so much at the end still gets me after all this time. On a sidenote, Rauru does have a temple, the Temple of Light, which is situated deep within the Sacred Realm, however, when Ganondorf entered the Realm and took the Triforce from the Temple, his powers corrupted the Realm and the Temple, including Rauru's powers, which at the point where Link reawakens, the Sage is only powerful enough to protect the Chamber of Sages deep within the Temple of Light.
If you look on either IGN, zeldadungeon.net or zelda wiki (one of em) they classify cuccoos as being more of a threat than Ganon it's pretty funny. The first time I ever witnessed the cuccoo wrath was A Link to the Past. I was 10 and as any healthy American child I thought it would be damn awesome to beat up on something that couldn't fight back. It's 22 years later... I still don't fuck with dem cuccoos man

Haha I remember the first time I went into the room, and Navi said "Link, look! It's the Master Sword, go take it!" And for once I totally agreed with Navi (momentarily) until I warped 7 years into the future with no visible way back to my childhood and I'm like: "DAMMIT NAVI! THIS is why we don't get along! All those things I wanted to do as a kid..."

I always thought that Rarou was sort of the leader of the Six Sages of Hyrule meaning that this sanctuary is his temple. I mean he is a Hylian and his race are the rulers of Hyrule and the sages basically represent each race that lives in one of the provinces of Hyrule. The Green Sage represent the Kokiri Tribe. The Red Sage represent the Goron Tribe. The Blue Saage represent the Zoro Kingdom. The Purple Sage represent the Shiekah Tribe. The Orange Sage represent the Guarudo Kingdom. The Yellow Sage represent the Hylians meaning they have authority over all the other races in Hyrule

Theory: Rauru actually has a temple, when you pull out the Master Sword in OOT, Link from TP enters the Temple of Time (Through that door in Sacred Grove), that's why the Master Sword is absent, when you strike the Master Sword (TP) in the pedestal, it opens the entrance to The Temple of Time OR the Temple of Light.
I wonder the same,it even more extrange when you consider that in Wind waker we play as a young link probably around the same age of oot young link,and hebwas able of using the sword and kill ganon.
The real question is how did the person he bought it from even kill it?! That would be a secret EVERY Zelda fan would wanna know! Then we could get our revenge on them for all the pain they inflicted on us! >:)
At First he thought he was babysitting but no he got attached to his whole kidnap-adopte-babysitting long story short he got a whole kid out of this experience 😂
