I love that the Bongo Bongo fight still held true to this series' canon after so many years, that Link never learned how to use the bow in the Forest Temple, so he couldn't really use it here.
I used to watch these as a kid and loved them. I never thought they would make another one after part 4 , but they did ! I just noticed there were some changes in the voice actors but I’m glad they didn’t forget about us.
I first watched this series when I was like 12 and I wanted to re-watch to cheer myself up and just found this and.. Oh my god. The animation...the art ... . I already found it beautiful back then but you improved so much and I'm so happy this isn't forgotten. I'll wait for a next part no matter how long it might take I am such a huge fan of your work. My only complaint is how Navi is dressed in this episode all of a sudden when any close up of her in previous episodes showed her as unclothed with nondescript details. Everything else is phenomenal - I can't wait for the next episode.
Man, this series was one of my absolute favorites when I was younger. Glad to see it's back after all this time, and that the art and animation and everything else has improved so much while still keeping that same charm the old ones had.
I don't know how I feel about the sharp tonal shift, but after first seeing this at 13 years old, I am SHOCKED by the sheer increase in quality! The art and animation is gorgeous
Holy shit, UA-cam just recommended me this, but your series is one of the first flash animations I had ever seen. (Back in 2004 for me). It’s insane to see a new episode after all these years. Also insane the quality you were able to produce this at. Backgrounds, characters, animations, hell, even 3D modeling were top notch. Love it and I’m glad I rediscovered ya! Subscribed
I was smiling the whole time and then seeing the Biggoron Sword at the end just made me do a huge open mouth smile. Everything looks absolutely fantastic from the backgrounds to the extremely fitting use of the soundtracks and orchestral pieces. Fantastic job, I missed seeing this so much!!!

It has been so long! This opened a floodgate of old memories. Getting home from school and browsing Newgrounds for Zelda animations. Link's Barrel Beat, Heart for the Hero, Link and the Pig, even Four Swords Misadventures is still going on. I've graduated from middle school, high school, dropped out of college, graduated at a different college, and established a career since I last saw The Real Legend. Being able to look back on this cool little bit of my past and relate with 2004 me has been a real treat. Thank You.

@@jamesprimmer355 It's the same person, Jerry Padilla. The thing is, this episode 5 came out 8 years after 4. Technology and his skill have advanced between parts. A similar thing happened between Episodes 2 and 3 which had a 4 year time gap between release.

This was one of those favorite UA-cam parodies of mine way back in the day and im glad to see little has changed. Just being able to see one more episode from this charming series is more than I can ask for. And your animation quality is through the roof, if i must say. Honestly, being able to see how far you have gone as an animator is an even more heartening thing to see than the episode itself. Its a great thing to see those innocent memories being kept alive, that some things dont change and thats okay. This was one of those favorite UA-cam parodies of mine way back in the day and im glad to see little has changed. Just being able to see one more episode from this charming series is more than I can ask for. And your animation quality is through the roof, if i must say. Honestly, being able to see how far you have gone as an animator is an even more heartening thing to see than the episode itself. Its a great thing to see those innocent memories being kept alive, that some things dont change and thats okay. Thank you for all the laughs and good times you brought to me and my bro with these episodes.
If you ever do make another, we will surely be there to see it as well.

Thank you for returning to this series. Hope to make it to the end, as I’m sure many have said this is a super nostalgic parody from a lot of our childhoods so seeing it now and as crazy polished as it is here is crazy exciting

i know the jokes from the first four parts obviously haven't aged well, but i still cherish them as a part of my memories of my early internet exposure
