Stacey, there are a lot of sewing tutorial videos for beginners but you are the best, I am learning to sew an you explain and show everyone close up of what you are doing.. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much, Barbara! 😊 I’m thrilled you found the scrunchie project fun and useful-it’s definitely a great gift idea! 🎉 Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment! 🌟
Your Channel is so wonderful and helpful. You explain everything so well. If there is one Channel I had to pick to watch to learn sewing and cutting and quilting, it would be yours.
Hi Barbara! I’m so glad you found the cutting guidance helpful, Barbara! 😊 Straightening the longer sides can be tricky, so I’m happy the tips made it easier for you.
When my grand daughter was in beauty school she had a dress code black and white clothes!! So I made her a scrunchie to match her clothes !!! I cut an 8 inch piece of elastic !!! Off to school she went. She came home at the end of the day !! And said that the scrunchie was way to tight on her ponytail !!! She also had a headache !!! So I opened up the scrunchie and removed the 8 inch and put in an 11 inch of elastic !!! I did not consider how thick her hair was !! So now when I do make her a scrunchie I now know how long to cut the elastic !!! I guess live and learn !!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🥰 thank you for sharing and caring !!!
Yes that's a good idea to make them according to hair thickness and how tight you want them. Thanks for watching my video and taking the time to leave a comment - I really appreciate it! 😊
Scrunchies really are super fun and easy to make, they are also great little presents and stocking fillers. I can't wait to see yours over on our Facebook group, or tag me @staceyleecreative
I had a lot of fun doing this and I received my quilt blocks back and I’m looking forward to putting it together but I have two more quilts to finish for Christmas so it’s gonna have to wait but if we do this again I’m in!
Hi, im in my mid 30s and have Never used a sewing machine! I wouldnt know how to turn it on, what stitch to use.. Could you make a tutorial? How to thread the sewing machine? What to do after you switch it on? Would love to make some scrunchies for my daughter, she's 3
It will twist but that’s ok, you really don’t notice with the fabric around it. Yes you could sew the elastic. Thanks for the great questions Danelle 🤗✨❤️

What a lovely idea Sherrol - I think they are perfect for the shoeboxes ❤️
Your cutting guidance is helpful because I am always flustered when having to straighten the sides up, especially the longer sides. Thank you.😊

You bet!
Lovely project💗
Thank you so much Edith 🤗
Great tutorial! 👍❤️
Thanks so much Vonnie 🤗
Such a pretty project. Economical too. I don't know what scrunchies cost but I bet it's more than a scrap of fabric and an 8 inch length of elastic!
Yes absolutely Louise - they often around $5 each in the shops! 😊
Great directions~~
Thanks so much Wendy 😊
Stacey you make this look so easy! I can't wait to make some this weekend!
Janice that's because they really are. You'll be making them all summer for your granddaughters now 😊
Awesome! 😁

Could you make a tutorial?
How to thread the sewing machine? What to do after you switch it on?
Would love to make some scrunchies for my daughter, she's 3
I have these videos here teaching the basics ua-cam.com/play/PLOfuHJF5AcWGRPjuVoeelxTGgf4D3JXAU.html&si=87bF-972BrkxGdtU
Very nice, but why wouldn’t you sew the elastic next to the knot to secure it so it doesn’t come apart?
You could do that if you want to. I’ve never had the elastic come undone.
Will the elastic not twist inside? Can we sew the elastic instead of making a knot?
It will twist but that’s ok, you really don’t notice with the fabric around it. Yes you could sew the elastic. Thanks for the great questions Danelle 🤗✨❤️
