That's so awesome Cari! Welcome to the wonderful world of sewing! Thanks so much for watching my video! I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment, it means a lot to me 😊
The clearest tutorial I have personally found on how to sew a pillowcase "burrito" style. I followed your instructions and my pillowcase came out beautifully! Thank you for this!!
Stacey, this is a beautiful way to make pillow cases! The French seam makes it perfection! You are an excellent teacher! What wonderful gifts to make my family! Thank you 🙏🏻
I’m so excited to design and sew a set of pillow cases for my daughter’s birthday! This is such a cool method with a beautiful outcome and I LOVE the French seams!
I am in my 60's and just received a sewing machine from my mother. I've never had one nor have I ever sewed. Well, in home ec in school of which I passed with a D. I am so very glad I have come across your channel. You are a perfect instructor for beginning old women or men. Thank You for your calm demeanor and the reasoning of why we are doing everything. I am learning so much.
as a newbie sewist I so appreciate you doing everything step by step & showing all the sewing bits as well. so many "beginner" videos leave that out & I personally want to see everything! I hope you'll continue to make more wonderful step by step videos. thank you so very much!!
Loved the way you showed how to do the sewing in detail , instead of just assuming we all know it. Thanks so much I now understand what was missing in the written instructions.
Late to the party! You are a wonderful teacher, clear, concise and very calm. I have learn’t some new ways to make it look professional. Thank you. Irene
Thank you so much, Irene! 😊 I’m glad you found the tutorial helpful and learned some new techniques. 🎉 If you haven’t already, please subscribe-I’m on my way to 100k! 🌟
Thank you! I make pillowcases for high school grads in their school colors. I love how you finish the seam so they don't show! I love how you iron everything too. You're very thorough. Great tutorial 💖
Your video is so easy to follow. The step by step instructions are well described and camera work is good. It moves along at a nice pace. This is my first attempt at making pillow cases. I am very pleased with the result. So glad I came upon your lesson.
I've made 10 of these! All for kids. I used themed material to cater to each kid. They loved them! Barbie and Pokemon were big hits! FYI Target has kid size pillows that fit great. Thank you Stacey!
That is awesome! Thanks for letting me know you made them ❤ Thank you for watching my video and taking the time to leave a comment - I really appreciate it 🙏
This evening I have finished my pillowcase. Love the fabrics that I have chosen. Had to make some adjustments because I do not know how I came up with a narrow and long piece of fabric, so I made a 2nd cuff and trim. Both sides I sewed. The bottom is the fold rather than on one side. If I knew what I did incorrectly, I would not do that again. Will make another pillowcase, hoping for a better construction outcome. Still love my pillowcase -- I dedicate it to my deceased elderly 19yo rescue Ragdoll boy kitty Skye, and will use it lovingly. Truly appreciate you, Stacey. And I have never been bored to tears with you. God Bless You. ❤😊
Hi, Stacey, Thanks for the tutorial. I especially liked your emphasis on pressing. It’s so important whether you’re sewing garments, quilts, or accessories; pressing makes a huge difference in the results of your projects!
Thank you, Stacey. I learned quite a bit from watching. You are a very good teacher, and I really appreciate that you took the time to explain everything.
Excellent video in making a very professional-looking pillowcase. Detailed, illustrated directions for a Burrito style pillowcase. Thank you, Stacey. Well done, indeed!!❤❤
I’ve made these pillowcases for all our grandkids, various ages. Now am making them for our beds. They add so much color, style and pop to the beds. Thank you Stacy for your clear instructions and great videos.
Thank you, Stacey Lee, for this excellent tutorial! I watched it several times last night as I was making a pillowcase for my grandson, and it turned out beautifully! So tonight when I went into my sewing room and asked myself what I would like to work on, I decided to make another pillowcase. 🙂 I watched again to make sure I did it right, and voila, another beautiful pillow case! Thanks! ❤
That's so awesome - I am glad you like the tutorial! Thanks so much for watching my video and taking the time to leave a comment - I really appreciate it ❤
Thank you for the nicest tutorial on a burrito pillowcase with French seams. I like the way you slowed for details but accelerate thru the basics. Explanations were detailed but easy to understand.
It was one of the best tutorials I have watched to make this pattern. Also, the measurements you used make for a nicer pillowcase. I am happy to have come across your channel. I look forward to more of your tutorials.
I really like how you teach! I already know my basics and a bit more, but even then I learned a couple tricks from you, and I love that :D Thanks for sharing!
One pillowcase down and three to go. I used another tutorial for the first two I did and they turned out well and then I found yours and like it so much better. Such good tips and instructions plus the top stitching between the cuff and the little trim piece does make it lay so much nicer and it just looks really nice. I have made two for my granddaughters to their interests and have just finished one for my great-granddaughter and have the fabric combos to make one for my grandson and one for my great-grandson! Thank you so much for the video!
A super wonderful video making a burrito pillowcase! You're a very good teacher and I love the clean lines and tidy edges here. I change my pillowcases often 3 or 4 times a week as I sweat a lot during the night. Always love a fresh one at night. I love this pattern so easy so beautiful and thanks for sharing this pattern. I will make several of these.
Well done! You did n excellent job explaining all the steps. I made a pillowcase today for my grandson using his favorite football team. Thank you for all the tips.
I absolutely love this AND I have a much better idea about how to do a french seam! A couple decades ago a friend of mine wanted me to make her some curtains. They needed a french seam. I had never heard of it, internet was still new. So with her there I winged it with the instructions. Now I feel somewhat empowered to make more things with a french seam. Thank you so much!!
I have the written instructions for this pattern but your video was exactly what a visual learner like myself needed to produce an excellent result. Thanks so much for sharing and I will be sure to watch more of your videos because you are a wonderful instructor.🥰🇨🇦.
Perfect explanations and thank your for getting right to the sewing. Your work is exact and professional. And an added bonus is your kind soothing voice. Thank you

Liked your thorough, easy to follow video! I’m going to add the topstitch to my accent piece which is new to me and maybe it will keep that laying flat after washing! Love your accent🤓
Your tutorials are the best I have seen and believe me I have seen quite a few!!! Thank you for explaining and showing what you are doing in a clear and straight forward manner. I'll check the info but I am hoping that you can give us the dimensions of material we would need for a King size pillow case as well as the standard/queen size which is what I guess you were showing us in this video. Great work and thank you for all your efforts.
Thank you so much, Nancy, I appreciate your kind feedback. I am afraid I do not have the dimensions to make a King size pillow, I am not familiar with different size pillows, so I guess this must be for a queen-size pillow. 😊
Have you got a pillowcase you like the size of? If so measure and add seam and salvage edge allowance. Now honestly I haven't done this but it is an idea. I am a beginner so I hope a more experience person would correct me if I am wrong. Good Luck and Happy Sewing.
@@staceyleecreative Health took a small toll but hoping to get back in the game soon, if i can get my machine working or a new one, lol... I haven't given up yet! 😁🤣 Luvs and hugs! ❤️🤗❤️🤗
Thank you so much. Your video was so easy to follow and understand. With written instructions I just couldn't figure it out. So easy now that I know what I am doing.
This is fantastic. I so appreciate your clear instructions. I have been wondering about why a seam is made and then cut down? I have seen it quite some bit and was wondering why not just start with a lesser seam allowance? Sorry if this question has already been answered before, I just haven't heard or seen the answer at this point. Thank you for your time in your care of making a simple thing like a pillowcase look beautiful and professional.
Hi Denise, if you mean when I trim for the French seam, that’s because it’s easier to sew a wider seam and then trim it down. It’s hard to accurately sew a 1/8” seam 🤗
Yay another great video! Hopefully I can get started tonight on the pillowcase. Thank you!
Thanks so much Carolyn - I’m so glad you think so! Can’t wait to see your pillowcase 🤗
