Thank you, Stacey. These will be fun to make, especially using up larger loose pieces of fabric. There is so much to do, not only for ourselves, but for many others, simply with a lifetime of sewing. Happy National Sewing Month.
Yes, pressing makes a big difference. I have made placemats that have a holiday on one side and another on the back side. Makes them more useable. Thanks
Hi Stacey....managed very well, but if I had followed your instructions rather than try to add some batting, I probably would have fared better. So I will redo it tomorrow and follow your instructions to the letter!

Keep going Bethanne! I made the tutorials as easy as possible, so that’s a good idea to follow them exactly. 🤗
@@staceyleecreative Hi again, I did redo the placements, with much better results...now I'm going to make another one or maybe two...
I did add some light batting to mine and they are perfect
Thank you, Beth. Haven't yet made them because I have been pondering using batting. I won't use batting with these placemats.
Great video, can't wait to make some. How much fabric do you buy to make four placemats?
Hi, details are here: www.stacey-lee.com/2021/07/15/how-to-make-a-double-sided-placemat/
where,s the interfacing
You can use interfacing if you like. 👍
Do you forget the batting?🤔🤔
No, batting isn't necessary for a placemat, but something you can add if you would like to.
Hi Stacey how about some iron on interfacing added to them?@@staceyleecreative
