Actually, no offense, but I still think you aren't quite understanding the message. This song refers to police brutality and the overall oppression of minorities in this country. When the song says _Some of those that work forces, Are the same that burn crosses_ they are referring to white police officers who are also in (or act like) the KKK. The KKK was known for burning crosses in the yards of black people as a form of intimidation.
"The Machine" in their name refers to the government, or other large, repressive authoritarian body. They don't just rage against the American machine, either. Their songs address many injustices around the world.
As others have said, its about police brutality. The song was written after Rodney King was brutalized in LA and triggered the famous LA riots. A side note, Bulls on Parade is a phrase used to signal that cops have shown up to a protest.
Ps. Anyone complaining about the Ad can go to hell. Get that bag.
Down rodeo is my favorite by them. Every lyric slaps you in the face in their music, but that one is by far my personal favorite.
One sic bar after another. BARZ!!!!!!
know your ennemy is good too but down rodeo may be my favorite too
renegades of funk is another crazy song
RATM-Know Your Enemy
RATM-Wake Up✊🏼
Yes! It’s always wild when this is the first song to break through, bc it’s really the simplest.
Wake Up is a favorite for sure.
Also
Know Your Enemy
Take the Power Back
Down Rodeo
Darkness
Keep the RATM reactions coming, PLEASE!!!!!
Zack will be repeating it until you get it .
You should do Rage Against The Machine - “know your enemy” or “wake up”! Great reaction!
He gets the energy and the general vibe and that's cool. No substitute for being there at the time, but i appreciate the response from the younger generation.
BBC told they not to swear. But they don’t do what they tell them.
Thank you so much for sharing it!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
People of the Sun. 👌
Tom Morello on guitar is the best!!
Check out Bullet in the Head
The machine is the system
My favorite rage song is Renegades of funk.
"Township rebellion" is the best
Zack is spittin’ facts!!!!! This song is pretty hype, not many bars. Simple, but potent. They have many other songs that are more bar heavy. Political, all the songs are political. They’ve got mad knowledge to drop.
Tom is a Harvard graduate, Zack’s great grandfather was a Mexican revolutionary. They are educated ( traditional and self) and they are pissed
it is funny you have to understand the machine has changed and has adapted to the new era and you have to know what it is
nice.... WAKE UP, DOWN RODEO, VIETNOW
Keep going!
Yuh letsgoo
killing in the name of meaning the kill for justice supposedly
The lyrics are wrong as hell !!!!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Check out bomb track, take the power back, guerilla radio, sleep now in this fire
The is good and gives energy i like it....please set the tittle Renegades of punk...thanks
✊🏾

Next track down rodeo, and wake up
react to Had Enough by Ebk Jaaybo please 🙏
Welcome to Zack de La Roche
This band protests through music. And unfortunately the messages they had, are still relevant. From police brutality to sending people to countries far away to fight wars for the elite.
He's trying, but just can't quite get it.
Too bad whoever did this lyric video didn’t even get the lyrics right! Glad you understood, though!
Nahh. This song is telling you you can live in the world and be who you want… it’s acknowledging the box we are kept in, meant to believe we can be who we want to be… as if the borders that surround us are the default. Keep us thinking we are free so we don’t challenge those who create and maintain the box.
Not a big fan of the hella long ad during the video, tbh.
I was all with it and then you tried to sell some shit in a Rage against the machine video... you are missing the whole point
I tired to to listen. The whole printer add was beyond off putting. Have to jump.
It's unfortunate, but RATM now stands with the deciders the last 4 years.
🤡
Nope, still raging as always.
Tell me you have 0 media literacy without saying you have 0 media literacy.
Lol no they don’t
No they don’t, just a certain group trying to co-op their music not understanding their message.
