Honestly this is surprising a lot bette than i thought it would be. I csn understand why it didn't get picked up. But this is much better than some of the other shows that are Sequel/remakes.
I don’t hate Brandon Jackson but Im honestly glad this never got picked up? I prefer Jane as Axels kid over this. I never dug the idea of a carbon copy of Axel. I like the difference between Axel as a cop and Jane as a lawyer.
I like the chemistry between Brandon and Eddie, but yeah, Beverly Hills Cop is an R-rated movie franchise, not a TV show. I would definitely see the two of them together in a movie, though.
Eddie Murphy's performance as Axel F for just nostalgia sake is probably the only redeeming factor here. I wouldn't call Murphy's appearance noteworthy. His performance is dead flat. Like he couldn't give a shit.
I don’t remember this coming out
It's just the pilot that never went to series. It was shot in 2013 but didn't get "released" until just last year.
I have a feeling this would've been a great show.😊
he legit looks like he could play Axel Foley's son in this movie lol
I like this. I wish it came out
Honestly these are still pretty good
Glad this never got picked up.
I wish this boy was in the Axel F movie instead of the daughter. The movie would have been better.
Brandon t jackson was everywhere for about 5 years then disappeared
I wonder if that's the reason why Axel doesn't have his old Lions jacket in the new movie.
Never knew about this, when did this happened?
It was shot in 2013. The whole pilot was finally leaked online in 2022. It's not bad and had potential.
I’m just burning doing the neutron dance
Why wasn’t his son in the third one?
The multiverse is real
Thank god this wasn't picked up, to PG for beverly hills cop
"He's already rapping in Spanish" lol
his legendary laugh at the start 😂 😂
I didn’t know about this! Why didn’t this ever come out???
Because eddie wasn't interested in being on the show every week which is what they wanted. Without him, it wasn't getting greenlit. It would definitely flop without him
Oh I didn't know they actually shot any footage. I remember reading rumors a long time ago.
Oh wow this randomly came up in my feed.
I always new it existed but didn't realise it got leaked.
Is this movie still coming out
This was for a failed show. The actual movie sequel is coming out. As a matter of fact the trailer is going to drop in a few hours. You'll most likely see the trailer for BHC4 tomorrow.
This needs to be made into a movie that goes to theaters
So I’m guessing this is where the photos I saw comes from. I remember hearing something about a new Beverly Hills Cop project but nothing more about it. Always thought the new movie was this and I see it’s totally different.
Amazing the difference between "movie" feel and "TV" feel. Glad they didn't greenlight it
Im from the future... BHC 4 came out... On Netflix. Its a success, well reviewed, well liked by fans, Eddie's performance getting praise.
It shouldn't have worked but it did.. pt5 is officially in development.
I am from a more distant future, BHC6 is out with an 80 year old Eddie. It's really bad, they have him team up with a long lost god daughter from England!!! They time travel to 1980s to fight nazis
This looked good. Sad it didnt get picked up
Here is my heart take I've always loved Eddie Murphy way more than I loved Will Smith
When the first Beverly hills cop movie came out in 84 I was 14 so I always have a love for Eddie Murphy and his Beverly hills cop franchise more than bad boys.
I swear this better than that new movie that dropped this year
That was better than I figured it would be.
The script was written by former Nash Bridges writer and creator of The Shield Shawn Ryan. Usually, he is an excellent tv scribe, but he missed the boat with this one. I read the script and found it rather pedestrian. Much like the lead who has zero charisma and absolutely no chemistry with Murphy. They feel like strangers not father and son. A show like this needs to be built around a persona and this guy doesn't have one!
Man, that was sad even before we saw Reinhold's newly plastic grimace.
I was saying to myself, man, he looks really good! lol
Ah yeah the mayor mc cheese and Grimace reference to mayor Billy Rosewood Good one 😆
@@JohnStone-oh3bz Wasn't deliberate, but thanks anyway.
one thing about the new movie, how come his son isn't in it🤔 his daughter is
He got aborted wit the series
I wish this pilot had been greenlit.Cuz this would of made great show.
After seeing a trailer for a nevrr released Hong Kong Phooey and this I wonder how many random projects he did that never got past a pilot or preview trailer
How did this not greenlit?
Judge Reinhold looks great as the Joker.
I mean, if Eddie Murphy would've committed to more appearances and he had more scenes with Rosewood, it could've worked short-term. Definitely not more than one season, if that.
