I really love Kevin Bacon's character here, because he is the first foe in the franchise who is a dark reflection of Axel, and he seems to enjoy to taunt him with this.
Indeed! Bacon's final words to Axel are about how he too is a failed father & husband.
Indeed. Bacon was slick, suave and exuberant as the villain. A fun role and enjoyable to a tee.
The second I saw him I thought "bad guy" and I couldn't even put a finger on it without saying it's obvious. But I love how axel points out what HE saw that said the same thing. "expensive suit, expensive cars and watch" screams corrupt cop.
Im so happy the music in this movie stayed with that 80s eske action movie type of sound. Great touch.
Taggerts right some things never change 😂
This movie was genuinely a blast. They all did such a great job in this movie. Rosewood and taggart duo always puts a smile on my face
1:46 "POLICE! YOU'RE ALL UNDER ARREST!"
Classic nod to #2
also " YOU HAvE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT !" 🤣
80s style action with Kevin Bacon as the bad guy!!!
how is it different from 2020s style
@@BaseballPlayer0 Good guys always hit enemies even when enemies are in elevated place. Unlimited ammo. Dramatic bad guy deaths.
@@travelback5700 How do films do it now
Soundtrack is very John Carpenter.
It’s more like Harold Faltermeyer, which was what Lorne Balfe was aiming for.
it's modeled after Harold Faltermeyer. somewhat the same realm but very different stylistically.
Very 80s
@@derekseven1647 Yes.
I see Taggert reacquainted himself with an old 'friend'.
I hate seeing Bacon as a bad guy, but he is so good.
He played a convincing bad guy in Sleepers and Hollow Man.
@@monalisasmile6629 X men too
He also played Sebastian Shaw, a nemesis of the X-Men, and a powerful mutant.
Watch him in Criminal Law. He's always an amazing villain.
I mean he looks like a bad guy. It’s fitting. 😂😂
This was a pretty good sequel , I just got done watching it and it was not bad for a movie coming out this many years after the last one....Beverly Hills cop 2 is the greatest movie ever though, love that one from 87'
Soundtrack is 🔥
Great movie. ❤
*Axel gets shot*
Me:*jumps off my chair*
I saw the movie 3 days ago after the Happy 4th of July. It was good.
The first movie in the franchise where Axel didn't kill the main villain
No it’s not he didn’t kill the second movie villain
I noticed that too. You see in some movies the main character kills the villain and in other movies the sidekick or supporting character kills the villain. In the context of this story, Grant was too overconfident. He underestimated foley’s backup. Also with Foley getting old this is the case of the youth taking the mantle, stepping up the plate and getting the job done when the main hero is down.
@@money_maker1137 wdym he was the one who headshot maxwell dent (the main villain in the second movie)

I Wish There was a Fight Scene
Looks like Victor Maitland's mansion
Not even close
At least they didn't kidnap him and wrap him as a gift to someone.
JGL gets a lot of good shots in the 🎥
Amazing scene
1:08 ain't it past ya bedtime, gramps? 🤣
**Taggert looks at me with his no-nonsense-stare-of-disapproval; shotgun in both hands**
me: please don't hurt me. 😰
They should've given Axel and Grant a fight scene
Never get the 80s cinema magic again 2nd one still my favorite
No, but the managed to get a little bit of the feel of those movies.
Love the gun scence
WHoa hohoho! AWESOME!
very good action movie. We are waiting for part five!
Eddie Murphy - (Beverly Hills Cop) vs. Kevin Bacon - (Footloose)
1:24 Sarge? You old bloodhound!
01:08 taggart opened the trunk and take a shotgun...ITS A NOSTALGIA
Before Bobby popped out and took Grant i was yelling at the tv 'back on the clock, Jane, no time for screaming, the mans gonna kill you' lol
It apparently isn't BHC without Axel getting shot. Interesting thing is of the four BHC movies, BHC II is the only one not to have Axel get shot and wounded.
Good movie me and my mum watched this on Saturday and bee keeper after.
We get a little deus ex machina there where by the grace of God Axel escapes from a machine gunner with a clear line of sight and then drops the bad guy with two blind pistol shots. But hey, good conquers evil, right?
This was a good movie but I still like the second one as well
Axel Foley vs. Cade Grant
Lol the only thing missing was a amusement park lol
ROFL
What Kevin Bacon the bad guy😮
Never saw Hollow Man?
He's been the bad guy in a few films.
Hes good at it
@@patrickdornoff2735 yes sir!
Everyone knew the moment they saw Kevin Bacon in the official trailer that he was going to be the bad guy.
Axel Foley to the rescue
Figured Bacon was a bad guy from the trailer but did this showing up on my feed need to spoil it and confirm?
Grant is a Dirty & Crooked Cop
Cade Grant, you're fired.
why did you make the dabi/toya videos private? what was the soundtrack on them?
isnt that the house Scarface was finished?
E for effort 😏👍🏻🤷🏼♂️

Axel F is too old.
What is this Scarface?
This movie is worser than STEEL MAGNOLIAS🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nul nul nul, je me suis fais lourdement chier, dommage AXEL
Kevin Bacons character was over the top, much like the rest of the cast. It was like a pantomime villain. Where was the danger, the edge, he was too cartoony, a complete contrast to the edge the villains had in cop 1 and 2. And his death scene was laughable as was Axels leap in the air "Jannnne" moment was like a parody scene.
Yeah cause the villain in the second wasn’t cartoony or over the top at all. 🙄
@@haydenmalesky2518 the villain/s in the 2nd weren't at all. I rewatched it twice recently. They are calm, they talk their lines without over acting, they evoke a threat and a danger by sheer presence. By contrast Kevin Bacon acts like a scooby doo villain.
@@grahamjackmacpherson6501 Yeah, but she was definitely cartoony for sure.
@@haydenmalesky2518 Bridgette Neilsen wasn't. Watch it again you'll see she doesn't say alot and she doesn't act like a panto villain. She never acts over the top. Doesn't need to. I'm a fan of Kevin Bacon but not in this. Not one of his best.
Well the ending was worse than I thought. At least we have the first two movies to watch again to erase this bad memory. 😂
I thought the third one was considered the worst.
@@SolCresta3405 It wasn't as bad as people make it out to be. In 3 the initial car case scene was good, the ride rescue was good and the ending was better than 4.
@@Romulan2469 Oh well, I enjoy all four.
@@SolCresta3405 You like the trip down memory lane minus a good storyline? 😂
@@SolCresta3405 Do you think these guys are too old for all this action stuff? It kind of looks phoney to me.
This is so awful...just an unwatchable series of cliche garbage...the 1st one is the only decent film. Embarrassing is the only way to describe Murphy and companies performance/script.
Yikes level bad.
Lies....
I’m gonna have to disagree with you on this. Clearly a rage bait comment.
I really hated the ending they should’ve give us the old class 1980s face to face/mano a mano fist fight between Murphy and bacon and having Axel killing grant at the end not abbot all these years of waiting for nothing a bad ending 😒 they should’ve let the bad boys directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah directing the film instead of this unknown guy
