At this point I don't think its worth the effort. Chevy can't get the Z06 to the people that want the car. I know I've been trying since inception. If you can get the ZR1 the dealerships will probably try to charge a million bucks a copy. The dealers have lost their minds and Chevy refuses to manage it. I understand price and demand, but all this is doing is giving Chevy a black eye. I'm currently looking for a daily driver Chevy is the last marque I'll look at. I'll probably buy a Lincoln or a foreign which breaks my heart. I refuse to go top a dealer that tried raping me on the car of my dreams. Hell I'm 66 now and waited my entire life to buy this car. You know I did all the right things family first and all that.

The issue is not supply. The supply exists. The issue is the middleman that provides absolutely zero value.

100% true. The 992 911 turbo S is the greatest car in the world for daily driven super cars.
The best looking Vette ever is the c7 zr1, followed by the c3.
It does look good, but I don't know many will agree it's the best looking 🌝

At the end of the day it’s still a Chevy and not in the same category as the foreigns. If it prices out at more than $200k it will not be worth the wait.

The ZR1 is going to be a $500K car! EVERY dealer is going to mark them up and if you think you can get one at MSRP you're HIGH! The resellers are going to post these cars on day one of purchase and some sucker will too much money is going to pay it. On a good note, the regular ole Stingray is going to hit rock bottom and then I'll have one with a procharger.
Exactly. In a few years I'll snag a standard c8 and throw a supercharger, aftermarket aero and wheels on it.

Well that was a close call. Here I was thinking the reason the ZR1 wasn't going to for me was going to have more to do with the sticker price. 🤔

Ive seen the c8s sell for like 68,000 to 75,000 guess they are having a hard time selling them. ☝🏾🤣

To me, I feel the c8's look a little lacking. It's decent, but could definitely improve.

@@TheAutoBelt Aesthetics are subjective of course. But a few of things are objectively true: The design is busy as all hell. Lines and angles to nowhere. High beltline. Chunky with a gaping mouth that looks like it was cut off with a cleaver. The rear end is more than busy. It’s chaotic. It is also the only Corvette in history that has even been called “ugly” by several major publications and writers.
@iowa61 Agree with you completely. Just because I love Italian design, doesn't mean I want an over-priced Italian car.( Ferrari or Lamborghini). But I do like their design. A lot of Americans agree with me.

If the ZR1 is electric at all it’s a 100% fail.
Ok , the C8 Z06 is good , but not great . It's too low on torque. The 911 turbo s smokes it . Same with the Eray (which should have gotten the Z06 engine) is also slower than the 911 turbo s. If i get enough money to do it , I'd engine swap the Eray and give it tge 5.5 liter from the Z06.
Some facts are off.. the 911 doesn't smoke the Z06 , in fact it shares almost the same lap time record with the 911 even being 0.1 seconds faster.. and the eray easily beats that number at 2.5 seconds 0-60 mph
@TheAutoBelt I speak of quarter mile times only . I love drag races. The 911 beats them both in the quarter despite the Eray having a quicker zero to 60 , it falls off in mph quick.
I am thinking the Vette is no longer the working man's supercar. To much $$$$. My c6 will do.

Imo the c8 cuda been done alot better. I'm not hatin either bcuz I still love it but imo it cud have looked alot better. When u see a c8 on the road some look good and some look not good. And the dealers/chevy have made it almost impossible for a middle class car guy to afford a lt3 c8. So z06 and beyond is pretty much out of reach. Especially bcuz of the dealer markups. Z06 was selling for 200k 😅 with markups. So zr1 will be 300k+ corvette is a rich man's car now. Sad.
Hate to admit it.. but the dealerships are posing real problems for the new corvettes. Hopefully Gm does something way more intentional and impactful to curb the issue with dealers when the zr1 comes
I want to fit my 6'3" self in this Vehicle. One of my Favorite Exterior vehicles. But American vehicles are known to breakdown due to cheap parts.

Gonna be way over priced, I will keep my c7 z06 and that will probably be the last vette I own and move on to something else.

Ya that’s true but the dealers are scamming a lot of people. I checked on a 22 z06 and asked what the mark up was, guy said 40,000 I laughed at him.

Ya that’s true my bad, I just stopped looking at them when I was reading about the crazy markups. It’s was a 23.

Look a new corvette. Faster, fancier, harder to get, huge dealer markup, way too expensive, big surprise, still missing the days of corvette being the "everyday man's sports car", end of story, moving on now.
Either way this isn't a corvette. Chevrolet should of made this car under a different name,and not ruined the iconic corvette name.say what you will,automatics are faster blah blah blah,its mid engine which makes it this or that. To have a rear engine,and not even offer a manual transmission is a total sht show.its not about faster its about so much more then that.
The current build quality of gm is junk especially the c8 . Bonded plastics and an underwhelming drivetrain with no manual

@@briandaniel931 youre not talking about me…have had and have 6 figure cars that will go any speed ypu want but high wealth is no metric for driving skills or judgement…unleishing a 250 mph car on public roads leads to dead people when they get hit…have driven 300 kpm in Germany and in a nascar track where they are set up for it but even there speeds are being reduced….my cessna went 220 mph in the sky…no one other than your self is endangered..ever seen a ferrari torn in 2 pieces? With dead people on the pavement on the freeway? I have and it is sickening….
Have to grin…. Have any of you actually driven on the autobahn? It’s just a regular freeway with traffic. Old time car nut n daily driver street racer, been 180mph racing a car at 3am on 190 in Dallas, TX. Even lived in Germany for a bit No different than the autobahn, need to pick your fight. During most times, Germany is like driving in traffic. No getting up to NASCAR speeds on a public road.😂

Oh, America..... Always so much HYPE. So much hype and so little results. ALWAYS excited for the NEXT Corvette... Nobody is excited for the existing one. Because the NEXT one. Its gonna be sooo great. Its gonna be amazing. Finally, at last, Corvette is gonna be better than those European supercars. Its gonna smoke, own, embarrass all those fancy European cars... For my entire life I have heard this. Then it arrives, and turns out to NOT do any of these things, and then the hype is on again for the next, and the next, and the next version to hype up.
Always cars that dont quite exist yet. Because they exist in a grey area of hype, copium, and patriotic wishful thinking and fairytales.
