Most of the frame, body and engine and components are all Mustang, certain components not being directly from the road car is to be expected as is true for every car that's turned into something like this.
@@Tula-SR this is far more extreme than just about any special track variant of anything else I can think of. The suspension architecture at both ends is completely different.. push rod rear on a mustang? Come on now, nobody would ever expect that to happen, It's now a trans axle, it's got a dry sump. All very un-mustang like
@@stefanroseEP3 Personally I never associated the image of a car based on how the suspension is setup or where the trans is or if it has a dry sump or whatever else is the case as I never see them anyway most of the time when looking at a car. The looks, engine and overall body styling is pretty much the same, since no car from the past has the same components of modern cars, but almost all of them will resemble their past counterparts in terms of look and design and a slightly more better developed engine but the same engine nonetheless. Tho I see your point and can understand it.
@@Tula-SR none of what you're looking at is what I'm talking about then, so you're responses are pointless really, I look at cars from a technical point of view, yours opinions are obviously based on your subjective opinion of whether you like them or not.
@@stefanroseEP3 I'm sorry to see that you are the type of person to think that way, as that wasn't the point at all or the way to respond. Your opinions are also subjective and aren't exactly consistent, I don't know if you noticed. You say you look at it from a technical point of view, but the things you look at are always subject to change and are almost always changing, I gave the best example of that when looking at the overall history of a car from the past to today, they are not the same, but one thing that remains almost the same is the design, case in point with the Porsche. I can give dozens of examples of cars that have little technical relation but have the overall design, they are commonly accepted as the car it's named after regardless because of the main factors. Opinion being based on subjective opinion ? As if there is an objective opinion ?

I can’t believe how amazing that it. Listening to this gentleman was such a pleasure!
I'm sure Shmee150 is watching this episode!!
Can't believe Ford didn't use shmee150.
Was thinking the same thing 😂
I can fully understand it 😅
Probably not. Shmee and jww got major beef lol. Shmee probably mad j dub dub got the gig and not him after all the free press he’s given them with his dark horse lol
@@jtee9548 Shmee does videos for Bentley from time to time, so it might be a contractual issue.
The GT3RS is one of my favorite cars but this Mustang GTD and other package iterations of it I have seen lately look absolutely amazing!
The new GT40 is Stunning !!!
More like a GT 53
Not a huge Mustang fan but the GTD is a phenomenal car and i like it alot.
Beautiful car!!!
I don’t see any beauty in that 🤷♂️
Aggressive and track focused race car? Absolutely!
that is one gorgeous looking car. bravo Ford.
Then the new gt2rs will kill this. Never ending battle
Wait!....we still have to see its lap-time at Nürburgring. Till then Porsche GT3 RS is the winner.
";-)
Interesting to see Larry. I use to work at “Dynamic suspensions” aka multimatic as a Damper Technician. Great to see he’s still going strong. 👍
I love how they showed respect to the Black Series. That thing is not only menacing looking, it’s also beautiful and very functional and a beast on track
Crazy though how he essentially said the GT3 RS isn’t even a factor lol they better back all that up 😅
As far as mustangs are concerned this is the most technically advanced one ever produced. Im glad to see ford isn’t letting the mustang name die out quietly.
A lot of people are hating on this car because it's a Ford or a Mustang or both as if Ford isn't a serious auto manufacturer with an actual racing pedigree. I wonder what you all will say if it does beat the GT3 RS? Probably that it has way more power so of course it beat it, and we have to wait on the new GT2 RS to come out.😂😂
There’s no hate on it if you’re a real car person you can appreciate it for what it is. It’s good that they chose to compete with Porsche.
So far, its just a bunch of words. talk is cheap, race and we'll see.
@@butwait
Stand by.
It'll beat the gt3rs. It's up like 200 plus hp. It'll compete with the gt2rs for the price of the gt3rs.
Just saw this and it is the best introduction to an exciting new performance car I have ever seen! Technical enough to nerd out with, but not so technical an amateur like myself won't understand it.
All good things come to an end, and I have been sad to see series production of the amazing Ford GT (third gen) come to an end.....(until the next gen....)..
But wow, this new Mustang GTD is one hell of a consolation! What an incredible machine, and so good looking!!!
The enthusiasm of Mr. Larry for the car is infectious!
Thanks for this introduction!
Merica!!😂😂
All jokes aside our cars have come a long way!
Cannot wait to see this thing going full tilt
You just know Shmee already has this on order 😂
That thing looks like a monster.
I like it.
This thing is insane, dual rate suspension, essentialy double wishbone front, push rod rear, not much mustang left in reality except a bit of body
So happy to see him get down and dirty with the technical details. Most interesting car to come out of Ford Performance since the GT.
Stupid beautiful. Hope it comes in at around 50k😂
That's GT2RS territory ... and GT2RS ain't no joke
"A hot-riddled version of the engine that’s in the GT 500“ 😳
Iv seen a lot of cars, but this is the pinnacle of muscle cars.
Poor haha. Never would a Porsche representative stand there and even mention a Mustang 😂😂😂
Imagine Porsche saying, the GT2 RS is made to destroy the Mustang…
You do realize they're not so far apart anymore, right?
Yup that's how Ferrari felt, and they got their pants blown off.
@@vipstarizm6990and the following year Ferrari gave Ford its most embarrassing moment in their racing history at home soil in Daytona. Apples to apples, it’s racing.
You guys make no sense.
Ignorant.
800hp vs 500hp, similar weight, both have active DRS. GT3 RS isn't even close to this.
This is the one I was waiting for! Hopefully, I can get approved so I can enjoy it on the racetrack!!!!
