What a joke first off you don’t include the Demon 170 because of it being a limited run production. But they are only building 60 of the vets sorry but you are not doing a fair comparison.
ETS twin turbo C8 goes 8.64 @ 170+ MPH in the quarter...... pulling the wheels at half track..... A lightened Tesla Plaid just went 8.61 @ 160.3! Now THAT would be a GREAT DRAG race!!!!! BUT the C8 looks SO MUCH BETTER!!!!

The Tesla plaid has traction control which is the reason why it doesn’t spin on launches even with bad tires.

As an example, while under warrenty, with the McLaren, only the dealer can change the oil, at a ridiculous $1650, and it MUST be done every year no matter what the mileage. With the Corvette, you can change it yourself for less than $100.

Yes, but if they detect anything, your $7k/yr warrenty is gone. Thry will definitely notice a forged stamp in the warrenty book

wait thats genius. shoot the oil pan, oil drains out, tow it in to mclaren shop. i be like sorry guys, something happened to my oil pan! made a huge mess all over my garage... can you fix it please??? then they replace the oil pan and put new oil in for free

I'm happy to see them come out with this car. It is a nice tribute to Don Yenko. I rember him as a great competitor. Great race driver and a decent piano player. I raced against him a couple of times in SCCS & IMSA.
One is also paying for the re-sale value. A Yenko Vette will fetch more than a person's vette project that makes similar horsepower.

One main thing about the SVJ, is that people don’t buy it for speed. There are plenty super cars even within lamborghinis own line up that will destroy it in a race. People buy those SVJs and SVs because of that raw V12 that has 770hp, which makes a noise and presence that no other car has these days. Combo that with fighter jet looks and you have a car that’s in a class of its own. People buying SVJs aren’t usually cross shopping any type of C8 corvette. There usually cross shopping it with other NA V12 cars that sound like that, for example an 812 Competition or 812 gts.

Watching Barret/Jackson, when a Yanko Camaro comes across the block, they go for massisly huge bucks. I can only imagine with these will fetch. And then in the years to come, be worth a forturne. Love to buy one.

That sounds like a good idea, but after my check engine light, Mclaren replaced the entire engine ($54 000 parts, $39,000 labor), I had warranty to I paid nothing, except they charged me for the oil and filter. $1650. Figure that out😮
Great video… LMR gives you 1000 hp for an extra 35k… Same warranty. I know they upgrade the transmission and the brakes with that twin turbo set up

Well, another way to look at it is the Nurburgring times where cars like the Lambo mentioned and the Ferraris are truly remarkable and have top production car times. Also, if you rolling up to a Monte Carlo hotel then you would want one of the "Big Dog" cars. So it is not just about horsepower.....

For the money I STILL would take GM's own Z06/Z07 package over the Yenko, or wait for the ZR1 due later this year. A collectible isn't what I would want, and I'm pretty sure most everyone who would buy the Yenko ISN'T going to drive it with any enthusiasm or rack on miles and will instead turn it into a pampered garage queen, something that MIGHT visit a local Cars & Coffee meet. As for any of the Euro exotics...they generally do come with a lurking, significant price not reflected in the MSRP now down the road. Unless you're made of money, when they break you will break. That's their innate nature.

Callaway has been doing this with GM since the late 1980's. They are already out there. They aren't 1,000 but they have been careful over the years to keep them just below what the ZR-1 does. I have a 2011 that is 606 HP vs 638 on the ZR-1. It's a factory option though and it retains all factory warranty, etc.
How about a Rapid Blue with the orange stripes. Or black with red, silver or orange stripes. This car is going to be in direct competition with the ZR1. Likely not that much cheaper in price as that $70,000 donor car can have lots of options to go well past $70,000. The ZR1 will have less HP, likely close to 850, but I think it will have the advantage as a future investment...maybe.

Putting 100 Grand into a car, doesn't add 100 grand in value to it. Infact most of the time it diminishes it's value. Because it's no longer original.

Have you seen the price of some of the Yenko camaros of yesteryear today? The prices are remarkably high compared to there original purchase price. I think this car will travel the same path.

Some people waited a year just to get a corvette, how long with corvette with upgrade cost and what is the wait time. The top five cars on your list are exotic cars, you don't see those being produced in mass quantity. I don't think you can compare those cars to a 1,000 HP corvette.

Purpose built cars hold their value 85% of the time. These yenko and copo cars are purpose built for a specific niche in the car community. The problem with u and most people have with paying the 100k is because u don’t belong to that niche and therefore don’t understand and aren’t interested. It’s very simple 😊

Horsepower horsepower isn't everything engineering is everything. Have a Turbo S with 640 horsepower And blows away a lot of one thousand horsepower cars

Interesting package. As a Saleen owner, I can appreciate limited run cars with good bang for the buck. I think, for the most part, people buying high priced exotics are a different type of customer. This car will probably embarrass some exotics for half the price. The only thing that would concern me about this car is, I think it is under tired for that amount of power. Be interesting to see on a track. Great video!

Agreed other reasons to buy a car over hp my M850i is faster than a c8 and I've beat hellcats but I've got comfort and self driving and a great clean hud it's just crazy people don't get that part oh and I got the gran coupe so my back seat fits tall people and awd with 4wheel steering it cuts u-turn better than a much smaller car hence why we buy cars for their options not just HP

Chevy has a limited amount of networks nationwide that are capable of working on this over priced limited run corvette and with all the dealer markups witnessed with base car and C8 Z06 when they were introduced it’ll fetch north of $225K….While they were busy buying Ferraris and other exotics over the last 20 plus years… just like they competing with ford 60 plus years ago to study and build a better car they should have trained mechanics to work on these cars which will be another major problem….as well as creating a boutique experience for customers when you command euro prices your a Chevy now…try building separate sales centers exclusively for corvettes so your not going to your local budget Chevy dealer to pick up a $200k plus car sitting beside a $35K car ….For $225K I’ll stick with the euros…. ( for that kind of money your paying for the experience not just speed ) The first ZR1 was a limited run corvette and re- sold for just above original sticker or probably less bc they weren’t as desirable as collectors assumed they would be…America’s best collector has been the Shelby’s’ and Ford GT’s that destroyed Europes best in Le Mans.

Honestly, this won't make exotic car brands or owners worried. It's not like someone that owns an SF90 says to themselves "should I buy my SF90 or buy... A corvette"😂 . It's just not on the radar, maybe they'll buy 5 corvettes for the fun of it and flip them but trust me it's not in the same world.

u can get the 5.0 new with warranty whipple kit at around 700 hp for like 50-60k and for a c8 it goes up 100k for extra hp at a total of 170k😂.
Not worth the money like at all. $100,000 for this package starting, plus another $80,000 for the car. So basically $200,000 all said and done.
If yall want maximum power for the least amount of money you need to buy a 2018 ford mustang GT for $30,000 and buy fords 3.0L whipple supercharger kit for $8,500, now you have a 750Hp monster for around $40,000.

1000hp....... thats nothing... The Tesla Plaid will never break and it puts out 1200hp (1150 at wheels)...... soon to be 1450hp next Carbon Wrap iteration motor. And when I had my Vettes... I constantly destroyed trannies and everything else as soon as I added superchargers ect ect. The Tesla Plaid is a non Moving Parts Perfect Rocket ship that can't be touched by any production (over 100k units) vehicles. The only other thing that can beat it is the 1.2 sec Tesla.. and the Rimac. also Ev.
