These guys have always blown me away. Maynard's voice, and the bass are like soulmates. They are beautiful together. They compliment each other in so many ways. They are amazing. At my age it's hard to find groups that grab you like the groups from the '70's. Led Zep being the main one for me. Not just a band, a symphony and that's what Tool is like .
They definitely fucked up the last couple minutes but that doesn’t change the fact that this show was brilliant. I appreciate that it’s documented. They played almost all(if not all) songs from Ænima at this show. For the first time ever. How amazing. For such perfectionists I kind of love hearing them screw up one of their songs. If you pay attention to the timing, measures, etc on the recording and refer back to this it’s pretty obvious where the screw ups happen but they handled it like champs and most people wouldn’t have been the wiser about it. What I would give to back and see shows from this era and Lateralus.
Zooming in on the drummer in time for his solo >>> Finally a camera man that GETS IT :)
