Mantis ship (called the Razorleaf) is a definite upgrade from the Frontier. But if you want what is probably the best Class A ship, do the Freestar Ranger quest line.
My wife was threatening to hit me with one of her skillets if I didn't stop yelling at the screen while you were looking for the safe. I kept yelling "It's right THERE!" Also was yelling "Turn on your flashlight!" 😂😂😂
So then where was it?

54:10 - It would seem that you don't know what a safe looks like, because there were four on the wall to the right.
You’re hilarious. Yelling and getting frustrated that you can’t find the safe while staring right at them. 😂 At least it was entertaining. Looking forward to the next episode. Keep up the hard work.
I h@te leaving salvage behind, so when the cargo hold is full, I walk back to it and unload it into my own inventory, or drop it on the floor. [Except ship parts].
Also, the larger asteroids will release resources if you shoot at them until they break up. Small stuff, but it's something for nothing.
The Freestar Ranger and Mantis ships are good, but for my next playthrough I'm planning to commandeer the last enemy ship in battles, loot them, sell, and perhaps modify one installing the best engines, weapons, shields, and grav drives that I can afford and have perks for. This personalizes them more and makes things more immersive as the ship gets increasingly powerful.
If I have a good ship I want to know how and why it's good. I want to nerd out making the best ships and weapons.
Yeah, that's more like what I want to do. I've watched my husband get the Freestar Ranger ship and the Mantis, and I think I want to do something different.
Before I address the safe, I have to say your piloting skills are much better. The safes are directly under
the terminal that mentions them. There are 4 in a row. Worth looting. You looked right at them while saying I don't see them about 3 times. It was that combination of frustration and amusement that had me laugh crying and yelling at the screen. Glad I didn't record my first play through for everyone to see. You're braver than I am. If you want a ship to build with, do the Mantis quest.

I def recommend no man's sky, would be cool if you wanna start a series as well
